A really great place to stay right in the town of Davidson. There are several great place to eat within walking distance. Every staff member I encountered was kind, polite, and accommodating! Strongly recommend to stay here if you're visiting Davidson. Rooms are clean and cozy. They offer free breakfast which has a selection of pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereal, as well as coffee and tea! 24 hours snack area, a great wine selection, and a visitor library!

Absolutely a great place to stay. The staff couldn't be nicer and the room was very nice. They spoiled us.

The hotel is a newer building and about six years old. I expected to enjoy my stay here. There is a pool and large fitness room too. But my stay was not as expected. I was given a room on the first floor, even though my profile asks for a higher floor. So they really couldn't find me a room on floor 2,3 or 4? If you don't even look at my profile or try to accommodate, then I will not return. When I travel solo, the first level just doesn't feel as secure. Then there is zero privacy if you want any natural light as everyone can see in your room from the parking lot and sidewalk. But if you want privacy, there is not lighting in the areas that need it. Then maintenance was across the hall so there was a lot of noise with moving things and slamming doors. When I went to leave my room to checkout, I was blocked in as or a table or tv was placed right there. The room seemed smaller than other Alofts I've stayed. It was tight walking in the room. The room design isn't ideal if you are traveling with anyone as the shower and sink are open and there is no door to close. The shower didn't get any warmer than luke warm and I had it at the hottest setting. The towels were on the rougher side and not soft. Ordering breakfast had to be done at the front desk, rather than a designated area like other Alofts. I got the oatmeal but it was to have a fruit topping. I just was given oatmeal and a spoon and napkins as it was hot. The staff member was friendly but I didn't know I was missing the fruit till I got back to the room. Someone forgot to include the fruit portion. Service is not up to Marriott standards here and I don't recommend staying here.

The one negative was that the Tesla EV chargers kept losing power so I wasn't able to charge my car . Aside from that I had a very comfortable day and I slept great.

Greeted promptly, offered a late checkout (1 pm), which worked perfectly for my work schedule. Decorated very nicely for Christmas- multiple trees and pillows and decor. Really decorated well and felt like someone's home. Room was clean, typical hotel setup with two queen beds and a seat with a side table and ottoman. Also had a refrigerator, coffee maker, and a good size desk. Bathroom was clean- shower head was obviously newer and good pressure, hot water. Used the gym in the morning- small but really had what was needed. Had typical cardio equipment including pelotons and a rower which are both not so typical, a good free weight selection and bench. Nice touch with free headphones, water, and towels (some kept in the fridge to keep you cool). Next door was an inside pool and lounge chairs. We didn't use, but nice to know of needed again. Didn't get pics of the decor unfortunately since it was so late and last minute, but definitely nice and shared some gym pics.

They only offer one bed in the room (Queen) with a pull out sofa. They have a few king suites, which are very pricey. Parking is plentiful and free. They have complimentary continental breakfast which was average. My room rate was a decent 80 on Priceline, during one of the largest annual conventions in Charlotte. Close to downtown Charlotte ,restaurants and shopping in concord. The front desk help were friendly and efficient. My room was well appointed and clean. They have a small gym and restroom on the entry level. Tv with many channels, desk, fridge and microwave. They have a pool. The only complaint was a rowdy bunch of people celebrating a birthday in one of the conference rooms. Not a big deal, as I went to my room. Overall, not a bad option if you want to be near Charlotte, it want to avoid paying an arm and leg for lodging. The area has lots of restaurant options, fast food all around, stores and convenience/gas station within walking distance. My friend did call it a "civil rights" hotel. I have no idea what he meant, and decided not to ask for clarity. I'm assuming it wasn't "fancy" enough for him. Whatever.

We extended our stay because honestly that and the heat were the only negatives. Each floor just kept getting hotter, with the top floor reaching 80 degrees. They turned it down the last day we were there, thank goodness since we were taking our luggage down. The front desk staff were generally unfriendly, with the exception of one shorter lady with brown hair. The rest were condescending, unprofessional, and at times, seemed a bit creepy. One employee was wearing slippers, and another was rude because of a scheduling mistake made by her colleague. When I asked for internet access to complete my homework, she directed me to the public one, which didn't work--perhaps because we hadn't paid for that day yet. When we reported that the fridge wasn't working, she put us on hold for an hour. I eventually went down to speak with her, and she told me, "I don't have anyone here to help with that." The cleaners or housekeepers didn't clean our room, even after we extended our stay. As for the indoor pool, I found it to be quite dirty, but that's just my perspective as a germaphobe.
