Don't be deceived by the entrance. My mother requested to stay here for six days. I came up the fourth day, but on the fifth day, a housekeeper informed us that we were supposed to check out the day before. Why wasn't this communicated earlier? We extended our stay because honestly that and the heat were the only negatives. Each floor just kept getting hotter, with the top floor reaching 80 degrees. They turned it down the last day we were there, thank goodness since we were taking our luggage down. The front desk staff were generally unfriendly, with the exception of one shorter lady with brown hair. The rest were condescending, unprofessional, and at times, seemed a bit creepy. One employee was wearing slippers, and another was rude because of a scheduling mistake made by her colleague. When I asked for internet access to complete my homework, she directed me to the public one, which didn't work--perhaps because we hadn't paid for that day yet. When we reported that the fridge wasn't working, she put us on hold for an hour. I eventually went down to speak with her, and she told me, "I don't have anyone here to help with that." The cleaners or housekeepers didn't clean our room, even after we extended our stay. As for the indoor pool, I found it to be quite dirty, but that's just my perspective as a germaphobe. read more

The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Tina and Jaquita at the front and the ladies setting up breakfast were outstanding. Breakfast was real eggs with toppings, delicious sausage, gourmet bagels, English muffins, scones, cereals, gluten free products, coffee, juices, flavored coffee creamers, etc. The room and bathroom was spotless and spacious. Bed was comfortable and hotel was quiet. Great neighborhood and parking is free. Will definitely stay again especially for the price which included breakfast! read more

I travel to this area for business at least three times a year and this hotel is my favorite place to stay at, however I had to knock down one star after my last stay due to my room not being very clean The employees at the front desk are always impeccably polite and go above and beyond to offer assistance. Hotel itself is decent enough unless you have issues with the staff. Had an issue with a very rude and hateful staff member. Brought it to the manger Beth's attention and was pretty much told I was a liar and the employee did nothing wrong. Too many hotels in the immediate area to be disrespected. read more

I had a good experience at this SpringHill Suites. The rooms were nice and the staff was great. The lounge area was large and had a few TVs to watch whatever you wanted and there was free breakfast in the morning. My personal favorite was the small bar as the bar tenders were quite entertaining and made good drinks, and stayed open until about 10PM (later if there are more people). There was a pool and jacuzzi although I didn't use either. Anyway - I would definitely stay here again. Check them out! read more

Good location off of 1-77, close to whatever you might need. Stayed her for the NC State Games soccer tournament. Hotel room was clean and nice amenities. I liked the room layout- there was a pull out bed and a partial room divider. There were also two tv's in the room, a microwave, coffee pot, and mini fridge. It had the air of being a suite without having separate rooms. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows. The lobby/breakfast area with spacious and they had a really nice courtyard that we enjoyed one morning. The breakfast had tons of choices (even Silk soy milk!) and the staff were super friendly and were continually replenishing items. They had a indoor pool, but it was very small and highly chlorinated. My only complaint would be the minuscule towel sizes. This seems to be with most hotels though. They have lovely beds and bathrooms but terrible, gym quality towels. Price was right for the stay. Overall, we'd go back. read more

Checked in for 2 nights while in the area for a volleyball tournament. For the geography and quality of the hotel, $119. per night seemed like a high rate but had no choice. My room was serviceable but not much more. Everything was shabby and run down, the towels were worn and rough, and the shower and sink area were dirty, with hair left behind from a previous guest. The first night, my a/c ran continuously and never cycled off, although I had it set to 70, which seems like a reasonable temperature. It was so loud, sounding like an airplane taking off, that I barely slept the entire night. The next morning, when I left for the day at 7:15 am, I notified the front desk and asked if it could be checked. The front desk attendant replied that maintenance did not work on the weekend (?????) but housekeeping would take care of it. Given their inability to clean obvious hair from a shower, I had my doubts! Upon returning at 2:00 pm, I was informed that indeed, housekeeping had checked the problem and had, in fact resolved it!! No big surprise that I walked into the room and was again greeted by airplane engines. When I went out again at 3, since there would be no nap for me, I let the attendant know that it was still not fixed and asked if I could be moved to another room. He told me that the hotel was sold out completely, so I couldn't be moved, but that he personally would check on it for me. The problem was still not resolved, so I spent a second nearly sleepless night. When I checked out the following morning, I asked to speak to a hotel manager, and was told there was not one on duty that day. When I shared my frustration and unhappiness with the front desk attendant, she look something up in the computer and then told me "It says here that maintenance did come to repair the air-conditioning, but that's just the way it sounds. It is that loud in all of the rooms. There is nothing they can do." I have no idea why I had been told the day before that maintenance did not work on weekends, but they magically appeared on Saturday night, and I have no idea why anyone was going along with my complaint that the air conditioning was very loud if in fact it is that way in every room of the hotel. Because if there were other parents from our group who were staying at the same hotel, I asked them about the noise level in their rooms. None of them felt that their a/c was overly loud. The front desk attendant told me that she would have a manager call me on Monday, although I have no idea what the point of that would be. It seemed as though this associate had no concern nor regard for my discomfort, and at no time did anyone in the hotel offer to do anything to resolve my unhappiness. This hotel stay cost me $265, during which time I got virtually no sleep. Although I have been a loyal Marriott rewards member for many years, this awful customer service and being overcharged for a room that did me no good whatsoever makes me re think my loyalty. I would definitely not recommend this hotel, since it seems to be acceptable to them to have rooms that are so loud that one cannot sleep adequately. read more

Spent a night here while traveling from Florida to NJ. Our room was two queens and a pull out couch, which was actually quite comfortable. The room was a good size with a microwave, mini fridge and sink. It looked good and was updated. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good - both quality and variety - but the breakfast area was a little small. To their credit, the staff opened up a conference room to make more room. Staff was super helpful and friendly. The price was good. I would definitely stay there again, either overnight or for a longer trip. read more

This is a fairly new hotel, and it is up to the standards for SpringHill Suites. As a Platinum Elite for several years, I've stayed at a lot of Marriott properties. This one has a good lounge area, and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and up to date, though the bathroom arrangement is a little smaller than I like for SpringHill. Many have walk-in showers with a separate water closet. This is one bathroom, with a tub/shower combo. Water pressure was good, internet was plenty fast, and overall it was comfortable. The bed was rather hard, though, and after a few nights my back was bothering me. I wouldn't want to stay here for a week, I think. read more

Our son was married in Mooresville and since most of the guest were from out of town, including us, we reserved rooms in several hotels including the spring hill suites where we stayed. We also had the rehersal dinner in the meeting rooms and on the patio at the spring hill suites. We were very pleased with every aspect of our stay. The rooms were excellent, The staff was very friendly, and they were very attentive and helpful with the rehersal dinner. The facilities were attractive and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel for an overnight stay or for meetings and events. read more

It so nice to go to a regular hotel and know what to expect. This hotel did just that it was friendlyand clean from the time we checked in to the time we left. The bathroom (first room I check to judge a room) was spotless. The bed was warm and comfortable giving us a sound sleep in the middle of a long trip. The evening view from the window was average from the even side of the floor but the morning was beautiful with the sun rise over the trees. The breakfast was a typical hot breakfast from a Marriott but the blueberry waffle mix was a nice addition. I would not hesitate to stay her again in the future and would recommend to everyone. read more

Better than great!!! This weekend we went to a surprise 70 birthday party on Lake Norman. We had never been to N.C. (we are from Long Island). My husband and I normally like to stay in 4 or 5 star hotels when we travel. There were none offered in Mooresville. I would LOVE to be able to give this hotel a 5 star review. The staff was exceptional, right down to the girl who was cleaning the hotel. The front desk had a great helpful and friendly staff who answered all the questions we asked. Whoever has trained this staff has done an exceptional job. Even one of the girls keeping the breakfast dining area clean, came out to our tables to make sure we were happy and if we needed anything. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The room cleaners were wonderful too. We give this hotel a 5 star review and would definitely come back if we visit the area again. read more

Springhill Suites in Mooresville is our go-to place to put up guests when our home is overflowing with guests. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are airy, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great! The price is reasonable. read more

Rooms were nice and spacy, however the pool room was way too foggy and everyone's eyes who were in there burned after going. My biggest complaint is that the toilet paper is on the left side of the toilet, whosever idea that was should be fired!!! You always have the toilet paper on the right side of the toilet. read more

Really nice hotel and staff, but still another corporate casualty when it comes to their breakfast options. Apparently, Marriott controls the food menu and it's just horrible. Vegetarian sausage?? Pretty sure it's sawdust glued together and heated up. You mention the word bacon and they look at you weird. I miss the Marriott properties of the old days. read more

As far as Springhills go, this was of the newer generation. Open lobby with integrated bar and breakfast area adjacent to the front desk. As I was traveling with a family of 5 and three small kids, the pool area is a big priority. Unfortunately for us the jacuzzi was out of order which from a hygiene perspective, may be a blessing in disguise. The two queen studio suite we had was situated on an upper floor away from elevators as per my standing Marriott Rewards instructions. The room was clean(ish) but nothing I'd be impressed with. The couch had stains on it, but that is par for the course I guess. The bathroom area and sheets were clean and I guess that's what counts in these places. Breakfast was fully stocked but crowded as you'd imagine on a weekend near a big lake. We'd certainly stay here again though the TownePlace next door is a good, economical option as well. read more

The lock to our hotel room broke and we were trapped in our room. It look an hour for them to send a locksmith, and another hour to get us out of the room. As a result, my son missed half of the soccer game he came to the play--the whole reason for our trip. We also completely missed breakfast since we were detained in the room. Front desk and housekeeping staff were nice, but the assistant manager was not. He discounted the stay, but was very rude on the phone, did not apologize (or accept responsibility) and said that since there was no fire or medical emergency that it was fine to detain us for two hours in the room. The lock breaking is a freak occurrence--the rude attitude to guests probably is not. read more

We stayed here for a night passing from Florida to Ohio. We would definitely stay here again. The beds and rooms are comfy and clean. The hotel is in a good location, easy highway access, safe, upscale area. Hotel is decorated modern and fresh. Great coffee in the rooms with a Kurick coffee machine. The alarm clocks were "docking" stations for your music. We thought the breakfast was very good. They had all the usual hot and cold foods but had a number of "extras", such as cheese and salsa for your real scrambled eggs, a large variety of fresh fruit (not frozen). In the rooms as well as in the breakfast area, you had real flatware as opposed to plastic. They also had "to go" supplies handy. All the staff members we ran into were pleasant and courteous. read more

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay in the Davidson/Mooresville area for a couple of days on a visit, and this Mariott property came across our Radar, as offering a good value in terms of room space and amenities for the location. It's a well kept up Mariott property; we had a King room and it was nice having the extra space and the fridge/kitchenette to store leftovers and foodstuffs. The breakfast buffets are hot with the standards; they did have a Belgian waffle maker which was nice. One plus here was that they varied up the breakfasts every day while we were here, so beyond the standard eggs they had breakfast potatoes and sausage one day, and hash browns, bacon, and pancakes the next. The staff were all very friendly, good southern hospitality welcoming us upon return and just overall friendly and outgoing character. Definitely a place I'd recommend staying and stay again in the area. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights and was very pleased with the staff, rooms, location and bar prices. The free breakfast has a nice little variety, including soy milk, which was nice for me to see. My only complaint was the shower pressure, but could simply be low flow shower heads. I would recommend this hotel and if traveling to another city, finding another. read more

I tried to make a free nights reservation with Marriott Rewards at this property. After I gave them my credit card for the taxes, they informed me that I did not have enough points for a free stay for 2 rooms for one night. So I said I would stay down the road at a Hilton property where I had points and please cancel the reservation. Marriott said ok. They never sent me a confirmation of a reservation or a cancellation notice so I assumed everything was fine. The next day they charged my card for 2 rooms and charged it again for 2 more rooms 11 days later. I have spent a rediculous amount of time trying to straightened this out with this property. The GM has not returned my call one time and the sales associate says I still have to pay for the rooms. I am in the travel industry and this is how they treat me, imagine how they will treat you. I have also filed a formal complaint with Am X Platinum Travel Services and plan to write a blog on this property. Once they have your credit card information, they apparently feel they have the power to use it for unauthorized charges as often as they like. This is the error of the reservations agent which apparently told me she had voided the reservation and she did not. The staff at this property is less than accommodating and has zero customer service skills. read more
