The hungry stork was ok. They're new owners of this existing restaurant and trying to get established and I hope it goes well! We liked the mouse shaped pancakes for kids. They didn't have booster seats and the booths were kind of spaced weird. The staff was really nice but struggling. I hope to give it another go when they're more established.

The pancakes were fluffy and the French toast had a nice vanilla fragrance as well as natural sweetness ('cause I like to eat it without syrup!) I am a fan of hash, and this was not greasy.

I have a complicated relationship with First Watch…read more It's kind of like that actor who's been incredible in some movies and absolutely unbearable in others. I've had experiences at certain First Watch franchise locations that left me questioning not only the meal, but several of my life choices leading up to it. So when I walked into this location in the Fern Park/Casselberry (Altamonte Springs) area, I'll admit it... I came in cautiously optimistic at best. Thankfully, this visit reminded me why the chain became popular in the first place. Right away, the staff stood out for being personable and genuinely pleasant. Not the robotic "corporate friendly" where someone smiles while dead behind the eyes. Actual warm, attentive service that made the place feel welcoming. And here's something restaurant owners should probably frame on the wall because it's becoming weirdly rare these days: the food was cooked correctly and served hot. Hot. As in actually warm when it hit the table and not sitting under a heat lamp long enough to qualify for Social Security. I ordered the omelette, and it absolutely hit the spot. Comfort food done properly. Fluffy, flavorful, filling, and exactly what I wanted breakfast to be. My daughter ordered the steak and egg hash, and visually... let's just say this isn't a dish entering any beauty pageants. It kind of arrives looking like breakfast got into a small argument with itself. But one bite in and none of that mattered. It was rich, hearty, luscious, and cooked just right. The kind of dish where every bite feels indulgent enough that you briefly stop caring about cholesterol or responsibility. This location honestly felt dialed in. The kitchen was on point, the service was strong, and the overall experience reminded me that consistency is what separates a good restaurant visit from a forgettable one. Because of my mixed history with First Watch overall, I can't quite bring myself to throw five stars into the air like confetti... but this particular location absolutely earned four stars and deserves credit for getting it right.

Based on our lousy service and our terrible meal, it hasn't been nearly long enough. The food was miserable. How hard can it be to make crisp french fries? And the 'fish' in our fish and chips order was a complete mystery. And did we really have to ask for silverware and a plate? Twice? Tasteless food of questionable quality served incompetently earns the Triple Crown of a just flat-out bad dinner. To be polite, the bartender was a simpleton. He ignored not just us, but also the folks next to us - all of us who were sitting directly in front of him for 20 minutes without acknowledgement nor any eye contact in a mostly empty bar. No wonder there were no customers - combining his complete dearth of service and the trash food being served, it isn't a surprise why this place was empty on a Friday night. We miss Buster. Please take his name off the building. He would never serve the crap that was put in front of us. And Percy woulda run that loser masquerading as a bartender off faster than the diarrhea that hit us when we got home.

Today, however, was especially memorable thanks to an amazing young lady who served us. Her name was Heaven, and the name truly fits her perfectly. She provided exceptional service and had such a natural and thoughtful way of communicating with guests. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly easy to connect with, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Her parents must be very proud of her--she is truly remarkable. We pray that she continues to be a blessing to the people God places in her path. And Peach Valley deserves recognition as well for making such a great hire.

The hostess and our server were very pleasant and attentive. Refills were abundant, which I like. I hate it when you wait forever for a second cup of coffee. The food was hot and fresh, and the menu clearly defined which items were gluten-free and vegetarian. The Greek omelet was excellent, with a good proportion of feta cheese. The home fries, not so much. They were greasy and sort of tasteless. The atmosphere is sort of a glorified hall. The ceilings are very high, no carpeting on the floor, so sound bounced everywhere. Decor was meh. Bathroom was very clean. Overall, a really good experience. It's only open for breakfast and lunch, but would be a good option whether for a quick meal or a larger celebration such as a birthday.

Park a block or two away and enjoy the walk through the park--it's much less stressful. Also, if you're a fan of "secret" flavors, ask about the Butterbeer Latte; it's a local favorite!
