The "Emoji Burger" Debrief Attempted to have a "civilized"…read morefamily dinner at Emoji Burger in Jackson Heights. Within ten minutes, it became a full-contact sport involving napkins and a high probability of a food coma. The Lineup: The Ori Emo: Pure Pat LaFrieda beef doing the heavy lifting. Classic, juicy, and gone in about four bites. Da Wink: Added applewood bacon because we aren't here to play it safe. It's "wink-at-your-trainer-while-you-skip-the-gym" good. Weary Fries: Appropriately named. Between the mozzarella, grilled corn, and double aioli, these fries are so heavy they should come with a structural engineering permit. BBQ Wings: Hand-battered, crispy, and sweet. The only thing they didn't survive was my sons. The Finish Line: We topped it off with a chocolate shake thick enough to defy physics and their famous bread pudding. That bread pudding is a rich, custard-soaked masterpiece that honestly deserves its own jersey. We're currently sitting in the car wondering if we'll ever need to eat again. 10/10 would definitely roll out of here again. Emoji Burger | 80-07 37th Ave, Queens Vibe: Deliciously messy. Status: Defeated by the Weary Fries.

I love the cute emoji concept, and the signature sauce is really good. Definitely better than the other fast-food burger places in the area.

It's been a few years since I last came to this location!…read more The food options have expanded, which is great, and there are now lunch promos for weekdays - I remember that was terminated a few years ago. We couldn't take advantage of that coz we went on a Saturday, but it's a great deal if you want to swing by on weekdays. Everything's fresh, and portions are good. Service was friendly and efficient. I think I'll come back and try the new options.

First time trying Bareburger and, unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the burger. I liked the option…read moreof customizing a burger and adding as many veggies as you want. They definitely piled the veggies on, which I appreciated. However, the beef patty was not great texturally. There seemed to be an issue with consistency, three of us ordered the same burger cooked medium rare but our burgers were cooked with different levels of doneness. One was perfectly medium rare, one was very rare, and mine was in between with some parts that were rare. The rare parts felt (and looked) too much like raw ground beef, tasted mushy. It wasn't a big deal though because it was still edible. If I come back here, I would probably just order medium to be on the safe side. What actually ruined the patty for me was the chewy, rubbery gristle. The other burgers didn't have as much but mine had gristle in nearly every bite. Thankfully, the brioche bun and veggies kind of made up for the meat. The onion rings were really fried and super crunchy; they almost looked burnt. It was a little too fried for me but I still enjoyed it. The spicy barbecue sauce was really good and had a tiny kick. I preferred the spicy barbecue sauce to the garlic aioli. The aioli was too thick so I liked combining the two sauces. The fries were basic chain restaurant fries, crispy and fluffy. I would be happy with ordering either fries or onion rings again. However, I think the onions rings made the burger more enjoyable. Pretty big place with lots of seating. Quick and friendly service.

The space inside is pretty simple and minimalistic -- clean, modern, nothing overly fancy. It feels like the kind of place you pop into when you're craving a good burger without making a whole production out of dinner. They focus on smash burgers, so you get those crispy edges with a juicy center, which is always a win. Everything is 100% halal, which I appreciate, and the menu has a few fun options like the Jalapeño Thrill, Garlic Mushroom smash, and even a Morning Flare burger with a fried egg and beef bacon. There are chicken and veggie options too if that's more your speed. I kept it simple and ordered a burger with fries, and it really hit the spot. Nothing overcomplicated -- just a well-made burger, good flavor, and fresh ingredients. The kind of meal that feels satisfying without being too heavy. Overall, it's a great casual stop in Bayside if you're near the train or just looking for a quick halal burger. Perfect for a laid-back weekday meal.

Actually checking out the inside it turns out it is a smashburger place that is reminiscent of the burgeoning 7th Street chain that is popping up everywhere. What I appreciate about this place is the menu has more options than 7th Street. Listening to my buddy Billy C who capitalized GARLIC MUSHROOM burger in his review made me intrigued, He was totally on the mark with this - I loved the pile of garlicky mushroom sitting on this burger. We paired this with the loaded fries which made a good shareable meal since we were not too hungry. Like 7th Street, Mexican coke is available if that is your thing. Other burger options include kimchi, jalapenos and fried egg in various configurations. Again like 7th Street, decor is unremarkable, but at least they have seating unlike most of the stand up tables in most 7th Streets Overall, this is a solid Bell Blvd option that should continue to thrive despite the dwindling bar/drinking culture that used to dominate this area.
