I loved this boutique hotel in Galway! Immediately upon walking in, we were greeted by reception and immersed in the pink, trendy decor of the hotel. Pros: 1. Location, location, location - everything we wanted was only a short walk from the hotel. 2. Breakfast - Coffee and tea, buffet with juices, fruit, yogurt, and pastries was included, as well as a hotel entree choice. There was a variety of egg options, including eggs benedict and an egg and veggie plate. 3. Clean rooms - The room was immaculate when we arrived. 4. One of the electrical outlets had a built in AMerican converter - so convenient! 5. Large bathrooms with Orly Kiely bath products 6. Spacious, warm lobby, and trendy hotel bar (with an impressive cocktail list). The bar was actually dead on the Wednesday night we were there, but I can imagine its lively on the weekends! 7. Free wifi was reliable. Cons: 1. Small rooms - We were actually upgraded to a deluxe room, and were still surprised by how small it was. Our original room must have been tiny! Still, this can be expected in Europe and wasn't too much of a con. My group booked 2 rooms through their website, but unfortunately they lost one reservation when we arrived. They made it right, by upgrading the other members of our group to a suite. The suite was huge, and I was jealous of the apartment-like space they had (even though it was unnecessary for our short visit)! I highly recommend this hotel! We would definitely stay here next time if we visit Galway again.

The room was nice and spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small but no big deal. The location was great! There was a car park close by as well as walking distance to shops and restaurants. The breakfast in the morning was very good, amazing coffee! The reason I only gave 4 stars was for the unfriendly front desk woman. Luckily we didn't interact with her much but it gave us an initial poor first impression.

The staff, location, amenities and decor of this hotel are beyond our expectations. They have truly thought of everything when it comes to accommodating guests from outside the country. We truly enjoyed our stay!

    Very comfy bed!

We were able to explore the church and the bars. There are multiple bars including a lounge with a live piano player. The staff is so kind and welcoming. From checking in, providing us with a tour of the facility to bringing our luggage to our room before we even got there. Once we got to our room, there was complimentary chocolates, coffee, tea, water, and Irish biscuits. Typical of many hotels but this was next level. The coffee was nepresso with Irish shortbread cookies. We have our option of sparking or still water. The box of Glenlo Abbey chocolates was such a nice touch too. We booked the bed and breakfast option through Hilton. Unfortunately, we had an early flight and had to skip breakfast. At checkout, the front desk brewed fresh coffee and served us on a beautiful tray with milk and sugar. Not only did they make us coffee, they helped us with our bags all the way to our car. Truly a magical experience.

The rooms in this hotel are beautiful, they even have a movie room?!??!! If you are wanting to relax, enjoy the beautiful view and nice commodities, choose glenlo abbey in Gallway. It is further from downtown and the hustle and bustle of the city. But they have plenty within the hotel. My husband and I are younger so we like to get out and explore more, but it was nice to chill. They have falconry, you have to make reservations for it but it was an amazing experience! Do it! Pricey, but worth it.

The price tag for the hotel rooms, as other have mentioned, is definitely due to the location. It can't be beat. Breakfast is okay, with a selection of eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, breads and a coffee machine. Small variety of fruit and yogurt as well. The rooms are absolutely tiny. We booked a family room and not sure what happened...the pull out couch barely fit our two young children and left zero space in the room. The bathroom was also small and had limited space even for towels, let alone counter space. I booked through Priceline, which I will never do again because our reservation was completely messed up. They didn't have the right number of people or the included breakfast reflected in the hotels reservation system. The front desk staff couldn't have been kinder though and sorted it all out rather quickly. If you're just a solo travel or a couple the rooms would be sufficient and it would probably make for a great home base during your time in Galway.

It is poorly managed, dirty and uncomfortable. In our room the soap dispenser was empty for more than two days. They never replenished the coffee. Milk or bottled water. They said to use a supplies fan, so we have the window open with a noisy fan, but it is still very hot and the fan is super noisy. Our room is also incredibly small. We barely fit in here with our luggage. It's really small!! We asked if we could upgrade to a larger room and they said "no"... our room has a "standard layout" (again I am questioning if I am being told the truth). Also, they gave us an accessible room with a bathroom that has no enclosed shower/tub and then claimed that was a standard room for the hotel (once again feeling like I'm being swindled). There is also no sink space or shelf to place toiletries of any kind. We feel very cheated for a room that was much more expensive than the nice hotels we stayed at in Dublin and Killarney. Positives: Location is great and enjoy the attached pub.

We stayed here for a couple nights during the week. We were worried about the potential noise however the live music stopped at around 11pm so we had no complaints there. Perhaps the noise is longer on weekends but we didn't see it as an issue during our weekday stay. The room was clean, and had complementary water bottles. The TV was also great and allowed us to sign in to our Netflix and YouTube for streaming on the big screen. The room was on the smaller side but enough space to at least open up our big luggage and carry on. We got discounted parking as well from the hotel, which helped as parking in the city was expensive. Did not get the chance to visit the bar in the hotel in the evenings but we heard really good live music!

I liked the wardrobe storage, the desk area, and the additional area for storing luggage. However, there were a few things which made me feel like details were being overlooked and the accommodations were outdated. The real reason I can't justify more than three stars is that housekeeping came into my room when I specifically requested they didn't. I was woken up by knocking on the door and then before I could say anything, they opened the door. I thought this was incredibly strange since I had the do not disturb sign out. Not only that, but you are supposed to request housekeeping with a different sign so why they were coming in at all is confusing to me. I still had the do not disturb sign out the door when I left and upon returning, I noticed some cups had been replaced so they definitely came into the room while I was gone. That didn't make me feel very comfortable. The first towel I went to use had a giant hairball stuck to it. Definitely not mine since I hadn't even used the towels yet. After that, I felt like everything must be dirty. The bathroom also seemed really retro to me and not in a quaint way. The toilet was difficult to flush and the shower pressure wasn't great. Not to mention, the half glass in the shower drove me crazy and no matter how careful I was, the floor would get wet. The rest of the hotel seemed to be falling apart a bit. During my three night stay, the lights of one of the elevators were out the entire time making for some awkward rides with fellow guests. The handle on the front door of the hotel ended up breaking towards the end of the stay as well. Unfortunately, someone got sick on the stairwell and it took the staff until the next morning to adequately clean it up. The location, while fairly central, was a little off the beaten path compared to other lodging options like the Leonardo. I would've much preferred to stay there and will be avoiding Harbour Hotel during future visits to Galway.
