Stayed April 2015: "Located close to the city center and waterfront"
This hotel is right off one of the main roads, and off a bus route. When you walk into the front space, you are greeted by a large open area that has doors on either side going to the restaurant or bar. The front staff was very accommodating and seemed to be generally outgoing, friendly people. They even provided us with a map of Galway City, told us the last stop off the bus outside the hotel, and the bus number. They have free parking, and the parking lot was huge. Behind the front desk was the stairs, lift, and lounge area. Our room had a small hallway to the sleeping quarters that was flanked by the wardrobe and the door to the bathroom. The window provided us with a view of a vast field, and it allowed us to open it up for some fresh air. There were 2 twin beds, close together, under a large headboard with equally big mirror encased in it. On the opposite side of the beds, was a desk with just as large mirror framing it. There was a table with 2 chairs flanking the window covered by curtains. The bathroom was a decent size with normal plumbing and bathtub. The hair dryer unit was unique and reminded me of something from the 1970's. We ate at the bar inside the hotel, due to the rainy weather: Frankie's Bar & Bistro - which I wrote another review on. read more
