I moved to Houston and after a few barbershops that weren't the best experiences I stumbled across Ms. Nish on Instagram. I was able to book an appointment effortlessly. From the beginning to the end the experience was welcoming and pleasant. She is friendly, professional and on time, which a lot of barber's struggle with per my experience. Her prices are very reasonable for the level of service she provides. You can always tell when a person loves what they do, and she clearly loves her craft. I showed her the haircut I wanted, and she executed the cut beautifully and have been consistent ever since from memory. The hot towel after my cut is the icing on the cake!!! She also uses something on the hair that smells really good after she's done. Her secret sauce.. She is now my Houston barber. The environment of The Hot Towel is an overall good experience. Everyone is friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommended!!! read more

I've been going to Nish since 2010, and I've had a standing weekly appointment ever since. That kind of loyalty doesn't happen by accident -- it's earned. Nish is professional, reliable, and incredibly accommodating. She runs her shop with excellence and makes sure every client feels valued. The experience is always smooth, the shop is clean, and the service is consistent. My taper haircut and clipper shave is always on point. Every time I walk out, I get compliments -- without fail. It's been that way for years. When you find a barber who delivers that level of quality and consistency, you don't switch up. Highly recommend The Hot Towel. Nish is the real deal. read more

No waiting. Outstanding service. Extremely skilled Barber. I highly recommend this place.

Update: I still love it here! Added more photos of our shades of blue. Nadia continues to work diligently to get my resistant hair to my desired color read more

I absolutely loved the barbershop. It's welcoming I love the fact that it is female owned. They are very professional. I had my haircut done by the Jack all fades - Nadia. Loved my haircut. Excellent job exactly what I wanted. Looking forward to going back again. Such a cool vibe . I'm very particular about my hair and I would give them a 10 out of 10. read more

Haircut was fine. But I had a horrible experience with the lady with red hair. She wouldn't listen to me and after telling her that I did not want my beard trimmed she decided to do it anyway.. I never trim my beard and am extremely angry right now, I have stuff to do today and I am currently embarrassed to be seen in public. So now I have to drive over an hour back to my house just to shave this BS off my face, only to have to drive back to Houston. The worst part is that she ran her razor over parts of my face that I purposely never shave because I do not want to grow hair there!! This was not the only thing she ignored me on, I will never return here.. I would post a picture to show how stupid I look if I was not so embarrassed. You need to listen to your customers, not ignore them. Despite this, I still tipped both lady's that helped me $5 each and I am hoping that the other nice lady actually receives her tip. read more

Ms. Nish did an AWESOME JOB fading me up after going without a cut for over a month & a half. Will definitely return in the future!! Service was speedy & done with precision!! read more

After struggling to find a Houston barber that knew how to cut women's hair (spoiler alert: it's not easy), I stumbled upon The Hot Towel. I called in ahead of time to see if they'd take walk-ins, and I was in a chair within a few minutes of arriving without an appointment. Fran was very friendly and sympathetic when I told her about my bad experiences with male barbers in the past. She did a great job on giving me a natural but still stylish low cut. Ladies (and pretty much anyone looking for a different barbershop experience) if you're in the market for a comfortable place to get your hair cut, definitely check out this shop. All the barbers are women, so you know you'll be in good hands. Plus, the playlist was really good. Thanks again, Fran! read more

I have had many great barbers in the city of Houston but you know how you see pictures of cuts on celebs and you just know your cut could be better that what you have been getting? Well if you want the cut that you will make you stand out then this is the place to come too! Nish is my barber and I've been blessed to have found such a professional and inviting barber. The energy is always so positive and I love that there is a little library shelf inside for kiddos to read books. I personally love having my haircut by a woman. I feel she truly understands how I want my cut to be. I've seen her cut a lot of heads (men, women, and children) and everyone gets out of the chair feeling refreshed and brand new! Also, Nish speaks so highly of all the other barbers/stylists that work at The Hot Towel TX. She believes in their talent and that's very important to me. All in all if you want an affordable cut that will look like you just stepped out of someone's magazine then this is the place for you and Nish is definitely the barber for you. read more

The Hot Towel is a great concept. Great barbers with great service. Every barber is talented and they each have their special skill-sets. I'd recommend trying all three and then you can decide for yourself who to make your main barber. The music playlists always jam and its a very easy going vibe. I've never waited more than 10-15 minutes (very rare to wait at all). This shop is a gem in the uptown/galleria area. I'm glad i already have my automatic appointment set! read more

The first time I went, I got the owner and she was great. Hot towel shave was great. I came back a week later and the owner is on vacation. I'm thinking no problem, but they have four barber working of which three don't do hot towel shaves. They seemed to have a nasty attitude because I wanted a shave. The name of the barbershop is Hot Towel after all. Bad experience. read more

This place is LEGIT. Location is a little weird, as I've never been in a barbershop in a high-rise. But that's not a bad thing.... just take the elevator. No big deal. Atmosphere is awesome AND they give phenomenal hair cuts. Will definitely be going back with a few friends that could use a good hair cut! By the way, SHOUT OUT TO NADIA. Fantastic fade, high definition line-up. I'm feeling good. read more
