Take 30 seconds to at least look at customers concern. I was working close by and a customer told me they would be late so I stopped by Giftedhands as a walk in customer on a Thursday around 9am. The place was clean, the barbers all seemed very friendly. Wait was not to bad maybe 10-15min, felt that was pretty normal for a walk in. My barber was Jamal, second on the left upon entry. I'm not to good with all the haircut terminology but I asked for a low fade with it tapered at sideburns and in the back. Jamal did a good job and I felt he took his time to do the best he could. The problem was at the beginning of the cut he asked if I wanted the taper all around or just as I explained. I told him, just on the sideburns and back. Once he completed his work, he asked me to check it out to see what I thought. I simply said "ok, now I understand what you meant by all around". I was about the then say "it looks good" but he interrupted me by saying. "That's why i asked you twice". I let him know that I was a little longer on one side. He replied, "that's because your hair grows differently on each side, I gave you a good cut!" He then mentioned that he did a better job than the last place I went to.... possibly, but that doesn't mean you have to be rude and not accept my input on my haircut. He the said if I wanted any extra (with emphasis on "extra") he could do it. Implying any adjustments would be extra because his job was done.... I work a lot, from 6am-8pm all around houston area and unfortunately since most barbers open at 9am and close by 6-7pm it's hard for me to make it to the same place all the time. So that's why I use Yelp and see what's open when I have an opening like today. I could tell he was bothered and it wasn't that big of a deal. I have lots of other things to do rather than to argue if one side is a tad longer, how my hair grows or who is the worlds greatest barber. I just felt he was rude, since it was the first time a barber didn't fix an issue I had and that someone mentioned the growth patterns of my hair at age 32. Overall haircut was good I just felt he was rude towards the end and didn't accept my input. I still payed $25 plus my tip. Only advice is to take 30 seconds to at least look at customers concern. read more

Made a appointment with giftedhands for the first time ! Got to their location , call the person I made appointment with turns out she was stuck in traffic. I had told her I wish she had call me to let me know she was going to be late. Very unprofessional, I ended up just leaving with out getting my haircut!! read more

I booked this appointment on styleseat as the times available show up on the site. When you book an appointment then you expect for that to be the time you are seen and not 17-20 minutes later. This was my second time that Chris had done this and he obviously doesn't care as it show in his response. Hopefully y'all get some better customer service because this is definitely not the way to handle unhappy customers especially after you are the one who is in the wrong. If you can't do an appointment do book it or have it available. That is simple. Also if you know you take time then space your appointments out correctly. Horrible. People's time is precious so respect or atleast day you are not so that they can reschedule especially for a $27 kids cut! read more

Been coming to this place for 2 years now I always book my appointment with David J. But you can do walk ins as well, but know that you won't be getting your cut with David (only through booking an appointment with him). As for walk ins you can come and sign in to be called in next. It's up to you if you want to wear your mask while getting a cut. They will still cut around the mask and move the string when needed to cut under. read more

This was the worst customer service and worst haircut I've received in my life. The owner called to extend an apology for a barber he has full knowledge does not have the appropriate qualifications. Result is I have a haircut that now requires me to invest in a hat collection. I would not recommend or ever go back to this place. Please be careful and avoid Grethal. read more

I go to gifted hands to get my cut every 3 weeks and am really getting sick and tired of the loud Rap music and pot odors flowing threw out the shop. I will probably not be going into that shop due to those to factors. There are other things i could complain about but choose not to at this time. Best of luck to you owner you are going to need it. read more

Tristan took his time and did a great job. This was a gift for my husband and he really loved it. I can't wait to bring my dad in for some pampering. This is the perfect gift for the man in your life. I highly recommend. They even have a pool table and a football game on. read more

This is my 1st barber shop since living here in Richmond Tx. Got my cut done by Grethel. Even though there is a small language barrier she still does her best to help me out to get what I wanted. Before starting she asked what style I wanted and I told her a fade. Then she asked if I wanted light, medium, or dark (I think she said). I asked for light. Then moving on to the top I asked her if I could get a #2 then she said it's short. So then she suggested a #4. So we started out with that. Then she asked me if I liked it then I told her if we can go with #3. So now I got my number down and I like my cut. Plus she has a card swipe so that helped me out, because I don't really carry cash. read more

Great people and great atmosphere, new business and worth a try. My boyfriend has been a faithful customer and for a good reason, his cut every two weeks is always fresh and exactly what he wants. Pool table if you want to play why you wait and TV's to watch too! Clean place and bathrooms are great! read more

Giftedhands Barbershop - Clean waiting area and comfortable benches. - Barbers Near Me - Richmond, Texas

No matter how many times i come to this location or the new location in Telfair, my family is pleased with outstanding service. Instead of just a haircut we establish a relationship. I will suggest this shop to any and everyone who needs a cut. Most people may not have the extra dollar to spend but it is well worth it because of the quality of the cut and the duration that the look stays fresh. read more

First let me say the atmosphere in here is awesome everyone is really friendly they have entertainment while you wait and it's all very nice. BUT I did not like my stylist. She left several lines that where not faded in and Due to the fact that I had a wedding to go to in 2 hrs I legit went home and broke out my own clippers to go over her mistakes. That being said I was there for about 1.5 hrs with the wait and cut process and during that time I seen every other stylist in the shop cut several heads and all the cuts where very nice I honestly made a huge mistake allowing the Latin lady to do my haircut. I will return to this shop because it's awesome but I for sure will not go to the Latin lady (I have to call her that because I did not get the stylist name who cut my hair) also they are a bit on the pricey side but given the location it's understandable. read more

Giftedhands Barbershop - First time - Barbers Near Me - Richmond, Texas

I've had my haircut here a few times, and I'm always impressed with their consistency. My choice cut is a bald fade, which is difficult for an average barber to get right every time. However that's not a problem with GiftedHands, they have me feeling and looking good after I leave the chair. The atmosphere is welcoming for families and the most impressive part is they cut all styles of hair really well. It's truly a shop for everyone! They offer appointments via the website, so I just book it and show up for the cut. Easily recommendable. read more

Made an appointment with Lenzo and she is freakin awesome. Never had a female cut my hair before but when I seen her work I knew it was worth giving her a shot. I have no regrets. She works with so much passion and provides good conversation. She is very detailed and one of the best barbers in the area. Glad that I gave her a chance. I will return. read more

I started taking my son to this Barbershop a couple of months ago and couldn't be more pleased. Tristan really listens to what my son wants and does an outstanding job every time. Everyone is so welcoming and makes my son feel very comfortable. I would recommend this location and specifically Tristan to anyone looking for a good place for a men's haircut. read more

Brought my on in for a walk-in haircut. The wait was longer than expected, but it was fine because I noticed that they were actually taking time with the heads of hair that they were cutting and I can appreciate that. My son is 5. The barber was patient with him, as he wanted to keep checking the mirror to check himself out and see if he was done. He took his time with his hair cut and charged me $10 less than I was quoted over the phone, so I gave it back to him as a tip. I will definitely have him go back again. His dad has complimented several times on how good his hair cut was. read more

Bruh, I low key would have thrown hands with un-gifted hands if my barber wasn't a female! Ive had 2 people cut my hair my whole life one being in Michigan and the other here in Houston. Unfortunately my barber is booked for the next two weeks and I had to look fresh for my passport photo. I was recommended this place by a friend (now ex friend for sending me here). I walk in, sign in and take a seat. I am greeted by a young lady (banging body with an ehhh face) I think to myself This is going to be interesting and boy was I right. She asked me what kind of haircut would I like, I should have responded just F me up fam cause that's exactly what she did! But I explained I'd like a high bald fade In the front and low taper in the back. Pretty simple right! Nahhhh she went ahead and gave me a straight military cut all the way around I sh*t you not I look like I'm enlisting tomorrow! Farmer peanut head a$$!!! Bro I paid $36.00 usd to wear a hat for 2 weeks!!! read more

Great service from David J. I took my little brother and he killed it with the fade. I would most definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a sick barber. He's super professional and his expertise is exemplary! read more

Fantastic atmosphere and service! So glad they are in the Richmond area. I usually have an appointment when I go but I brought my 3 yr old for a cut with no appointment and there was no wait time on a Friday afternoon for us. I recommend this place to all my friends and family. Check it out. read more

Great customer service and the guys are extremely nice. Close, easy in and out and a pool table while you wait. Glad I found this spot!

Angel did a great job! Would highly recommend! Make an appt, will save you lots of time!

I just got one of the best cuts I've ever had at this joint. Not kidding. So I don't leave reviews very often but I definitely want to give a shout out to Gifted Hands. Just went there for the first time and I'll definitely be going back. Stanley did a killer job on my fade and he fixed the bad haircut I walked in with (got the bad haircut at another place I won't mention)... But suffice to say that when I walked in it looked like I'd taken one too many shots and tried to cut my own hair with garden shears, but Stanley fixed it so that it looks great now. The guys working here are friendly, the price is reasonable, and the place is clean. Highly recommend this place. read more
