On display in his shoppe (for purchase) are all his gorgeous masterpieces, along w/ pieces from one of his master students & one other potter. Credit cards are accepted. The shoppe is closed on Sundays & Mondays. Jack will help host a major pottery extravaganza on the weekend of December 7 & 8! (2019). Johnny has been our instructor on more than one occasion and he's always so thoughtful with his instructions and so patient with everyone, It's always easy to reserve a wheel via text or phone call, which is recommended on busy weekends and evenings, but you can also drop in. There are several wheels in the studio and tables for adding the finishing touches like handles or other accents. You'll photograph your piece to locate it after it's been fired then return about a month later to glaze your piece. Make sure to paint three layers or the color will be super faint. A month after that you'll return to pick up your masterpiece and become hooked like me.

He gave us great techniques and tricks on making what we wanted. The first session is for you to make your own vessel and the next session in 30 days will be painting. If you're not local you can paint some of the pre-made items. As being local is better for the pottery wheel because it takes time to dry. Pottery making is a skill and is so relaxing if you have patience and a vision.

We paid $75 for a two hour block where we were able to spin our clay with instructions, decorate and paint. They also have open studio for $25 and you can come in and spin your clay and decorate on your own without instruction. You can pick up your creation in about 3 weeks. However, once you see all the work done in classes you will want to take a class and that's okay, they will pause your membership while you take a class.
