Johnny has been our instructor on more than one occasion and he's always so thoughtful with his instructions and so patient with everyone, It's always easy to reserve a wheel via text or phone call, which is recommended on busy weekends and evenings, but you can also drop in. There are several wheels in the studio and tables for adding the finishing touches like handles or other accents. You'll photograph your piece to locate it after it's been fired then return about a month later to glaze your piece. Make sure to paint three layers or the color will be super faint. A month after that you'll return to pick up your masterpiece and become hooked like me.

We showed up in April to make the pottery, were told to come back in a month to paint the pottery (no mention of having to pay an additional fee just to come back and paint the pottery) We come back in June to paint and paid the additional fee. Went back yesterday hoping to take home our pottery that took months for the establishment to produce, over a hundred dollars for the service, not to mention gas driving to Ybor, paying for parking, just to show up and one of the pieces of pottery broke in their care. Mind you, it took 15 minutes for them to locate the pottery. And after investing so much time, energy, AND MONEY into this process, just for the pottery to break under the establishments care, you would think that they would offer you a refund? NO! If this happens the only thing they offer you is to come back and do the process all over again. Really? I'd be a fool. A better system needs to be in place immediately. -The establishment needs to make it clear to customers, before they pay and agree to this process, that no refund is going to be offered if the pottery breaks in their care. (Like the owner said to us, "It happens") -The establishment needs to be responsible for a picture of the pottery. Have the customers create a profile with their information once they pay for the service. Save the picture to their profile. This would save the establishment and the customer so much time of searching when they return to paint their pottery. -The establishment should contact the customer when their pottery is ready to be painted and REMIND them of the additional fee that is required. -The establishment should save another picture of the pottery after it has been painted. -The establishment should contact the customer when their pottery is ready to be picked up. -The establishment should have the decency to contact the customer if the pottery brakes so they don't have to waste a trip to ybor just to hear "It happens".

We paid $75 for a two hour block where we were able to spin our clay with instructions, decorate and paint. They also have open studio for $25 and you can come in and spin your clay and decorate on your own without instruction. You can pick up your creation in about 3 weeks. There were six seats total, with my boyfriend and me occupying two and the remaining four filled by other guests. The seating was family-style, so you're sharing the experience with others which was great because the family was celebrating a birthday!! For the first hour, we worked with clay at a table and had the freedom to create just about anything we wanted. I attempted to make a leaf, and my bf made a mug. We'll see how they turns out once we pick them up. I wish I could remember the names of the two individuals who guided us because they were absolutely wonderful. They were patient and incredibly knowledgeable, it's definitely their passion. Once done, we walked into a different room for our second hour. The second hour is dedicated to working on the pottery wheel. The instructors had already prepared and started our first bowl, allowing us to get a feel for working with the wheel before attempting one on our own. My second attempt didn't go quite as planned, but I had so much fun trying. I ended up with a very shallow, short bowl. But a bowl is a bowl right. At the end of the class, we were able to select a glaze color for each of our pieces from six available options. We were told that our finished pieces would be ready in approximately three weeks and that we would receive a call when they were available for pickup. I haven't got them back yet but will post an update when i do. The experience is BYOB so if you plan to bring wine, I recommend bringing your own cups and a wine opener as well. We didn't think to bring those items, but we were still able to get our bottle opened, so it wasn't a big deal, we just had to borrow someone else's. They told us to just pick a color off a clipboard and they will do it for us. When we asked if we can do it ourselves, Kyle was dismissive and made us feel bad for wanting to do something we looked forward to doing.

So we did, but then the usher said we needed to redeem that at will call. Just seemed their system isn't very modern. It's also not that cheap. The air conditioning definitely wasn't on in the summer and they charge a convenience fee but say the shows are priced "low" to share events with everyone, which seemed disingenuous. If I may wrap in the show to the review, we went to see the music of Burt Bacharach which was scheduled for 2 hours. The jazz renderings were fine, singer and band were competent but not well known, but they only did an hour of Bacharach, about a half hour of random songs, then left early, possibly to beat the traffic. My mom was so disappointed as she listed all the song she hoped to hear and didn't. They definitely had time to cover a lot more of what they promised and just didn't. I did a follow up survey on this and for a form response. Plenty of parking and the ushers who were volunteers seemed nice. The venue could be decent for small shows if the AC is turned on. The show was definitely overpriced for what it was. It would make a decent lounge show while we had drinks. The ticketing system, comfort, and show were all lacking for me.

It's so colorful and cheerful inside. You can feel the creativity flowing and gelling. Inspo is everywhere. The staff were so welcoming and supportive-especially to someone who still paints like an elementary school kid (that would be me). We paid $10 for the special ghouls night out session... but I've heard you can do walk ins, too. There are shelves full of all sorts of figures and plates and other pottery to choose from. The prices are on the bottom-and that covers the paint and the firing. My friend and I had a table to ourselves-and could spread out our snacks and drinks (they had cupcakes, cookies and small cans of soda available but you can also byob and foods. We brought charcuterie items, champagne and pumpkin doughnuts). It was such a relaxing and happy experience-painting, snacking and chatting. The staff checks on you. You can also go ask for more paint at any time. My spider won't win any awards-but he sure was fun to decorate! I can't wait to see how he'll look after firing. I'm told the colors will darken. It should be ready for pickup in about a week. I'm told they have art classes, day camps and summer camps and that you can hold parties here. It's fun for all ages and I may bring my mom, sister and niece here for some three generation bonding. It's a comfortable space with lots of easy parking available.
