Oh, this was such a fun night! My friend had been here before. She has a long history of knowing fun places-and I happily followed her here. It was everything I hoped for and more. It's so colorful and cheerful inside. You can feel the creativity flowing and gelling. Inspo is everywhere. The staff were so welcoming and supportive-especially to someone who still paints like an elementary school kid (that would be me). We paid $10 for the special ghouls night out session... but I've heard you can do walk ins, too. There are shelves full of all sorts of figures and plates and other pottery to choose from. The prices are on the bottom-and that covers the paint and the firing. My friend and I had a table to ourselves-and could spread out our snacks and drinks (they had cupcakes, cookies and small cans of soda available but you can also byob and foods. We brought charcuterie items, champagne and pumpkin doughnuts). It was such a relaxing and happy experience-painting, snacking and chatting. The staff checks on you. You can also go ask for more paint at any time. My spider won't win any awards-but he sure was fun to decorate! I can't wait to see how he'll look after firing. I'm told the colors will darken. It should be ready for pickup in about a week. I'm told they have art classes, day camps and summer camps and that you can hold parties here. It's fun for all ages and I may bring my mom, sister and niece here for some three generation bonding. It's a comfortable space with lots of easy parking available. I like that you can walk in at any time without booking anything. They have lots of pieces to choose from and the pricing is based on the piece you choose. Everything is included in that price. Then you pick out your paint colors and start painting. I felt like the paint colors looked very different in the palette than I expected from the display. When we were in there it was busy with many families, several who had children that were screaming the whole time. You can pick up your finished creation about a week later. read more

What an amazing fun place for kids and adults! My daughter had my grandson's 5th birthday party here, in this colorful, magical place. The kids each picked out a piece of pottery to color and then have it fired. My grandson is duck crazy and picked out a little one. Then there is different color paints for them to use. Meanwhile you can set up your birthday cake, food and drinks too. After the kids were done we celebrated his birthday with cupcakes and some food. Totally adorable and the clean up is a breeze for parents, The young lady in charge is a wiz, organizing everything and then cleaning up the tables when the kids were done. What fun and it held these 5 year olds attention! It reminded me of where I used to take my kids in Coral Springs called Plaster Carousel, many years ago. We came here for their Family Pottery Wheel workshop and it was absolutely amazing! We took our two kids, 4 and 5, to participate and I was amazed at how much fun they had. Our instructor was amazing - very knowledgable and helped us through the entire process. It was engaging, fun, and our pieces turned out great! My friend and I attended the recent Beetlejuice event and boy was it fun! The cool thing about going to one of their themed classes is that they have special stencils you can use, fun music, snacks and raffles. Everyone at the class had some cool pieces, but you can't really see how they will look until you pick them up. They look so much better once fired. A lot of great selections of ceramic and glass items You can choose from regular paint or sparkling paint. They were good about refilling paints when we ran out. I chose the oil canisters and measuring spoons. Since I like to cook. It takes about a week to get your final product. Good location with plenty of parking. I paid extra to go to an adults only event that boasted snacks, drinks, special themed pieces and silk screens. The snacks were cosmic brownies and mini cupcakes. The drinks were bottles of water. The was a very small, disappointing collection of special pieces to choose from so I went with a genetic tile, but selected a silk screen to fit the theme. I had fun painting it with a few women I had met up with. One of them even won a raffle prize. When I went to pick up my piece, the staff had put the silk screen on wrong and ruined my tile. My options were to repaint the right then and there, which I didn't have time for; nor do I want to paint by myself. OR I could have the staff repaint the tile for me. I believe that defeats the whole purpose of having pottery painted by yourself, and frankly, the kids didn't get the silk screen right, why would I trust them with the entire piece? I left the store empty handed and upset. A refund for the tile wasn't even offered. That should have been the first thing. The next day I got a random text that says I have a store credit. I guess that is good enough but with the store being 30 mins away, I don't see myself returning. I just wanted a refund for my ruined tile, not even the event fee. read more

This place is a perfect 5 stars to me. I had a girls night here and it was a delight. The place itself is much bigger than we expect and there were hundreds of options to paint plus they offer classes to make your own pottery! In the store they sell snacks, drinks, decorative stickers and paint supplies. Talk about FUN! The service was great. The girls were helpful and came by to check in on us. They helped us decide on color palettes for our creations and gave us inspiration to paint. It takes 7 days for your pottery to be ready to pick up and they can hold it for 30 days. The pottery ranges from $18-56. I found this to be a bit pricey but once I saw all the different pieces they have I understood. They've got salt shakers, plates, mugs, sponge holders, statues, etc! There is art EVERYWHERE! Even the floor is colorful. I found Practically Picasso to be such a fun experience as someone who enjoys anything artsy. They are very pilote and very kind! Lots of space which I like. I've owned kilns and I use another painting studio that I like better. The reason I mention this is the other place is less expensive which is not that big of a deal but what I really do not like is no pencils they use markers and all of their brushes are a mess so you can't do fine lines. Plus they don't have any colour other than black for the puff paint. The other place has every colour you can think of. Plus no add ons. The primary reason I'm leaving three stars is making things that require hanging like an oranment they don't hang them. They put my piece on a stilt that left marks on my piece. Not only did they put it on a stilt which I've never seen anyone do before nor would I but they placed it face down! So the image I painted is messed up. She did offer to let me make another one but it was going with a gift that I have to ship tomorrow so it doesn't matter. I can't send it and do what I wanted with it. Plus this one is a little far for me to drive and I didn't want to have to come back to pick it up. A bit disappointing. You can see the spots which aren't only visable but raised. However, I was disappointed that when I picked up our recent order, three of the items had the wrong child's name on them. These were Christmas gifts for grandparents, so it matters. The woman at the desk was kind enough to put on some mismatched glass paint to cover the wrong name, and I now need to cook them in the oven at home, but in the 25 minutes that took, I did not hear from the owner, just a coupon for my next visit. I get that stuff happens, but I would expect a more personal touch when there is a mistake, particularly when the employee taking down the children's names had written them clearly by each item on the receipt and when each small vase cost $24 ($72 for 3). This place is like You Do the Dishes on steroids. You have so many options to be creative, but the advantage is the clay wheeling (think the movie Ghost). The entrance is located above Outback. I went here with my partner for the clay wheeling class. A two people minimum is needed. I got lucky and was able to book an appointment over the phone the day before. Our instructor, Paula, was perfect with instructions and making it a fun session. The session lasts 2 hours and the amount of clay you get with the $100 package ($50 for each person) is more than enough for two people and lots of creative mashing/wheeling. Since this was a beginner class, we made some bowl like objects. It take some time for the pieces you make to go through the rest of the process after the class. I think turn around time is about a week or two, then you get to add your personal touch by painting your masterpiece. Overall, wonderful option to have to take someone out on a date or to just do something new and exciting with a friend. Oh, also, if you're on a time schedule and do the wheeling, plan to clean up after yourself (i.e., washing the wheels and tools). Takes about 30 min. Oh yeah, and bring a change of clothes because it gets messy. There is a clean bathroom to change in. read more

Practically Pikasso is so cool! We made sugar skull masks from scratch here. It was a private party with coworkers and friends. It was so much fun! They had everything set up for us when we arrived. We were given basic instructions and supplies and then left alone to create. They were there to offer help and answer any questions. I made a sugar skull mask that looks pretty amazing from a literal chunk of clay. Super cool. The masks took us around 2.5 hours (our party was 2 hours, but they didn't kick us out which is awesome too). We rolled the clay, cut out the design, added all the features and painted it. We then had to leave them to bake and get them later on (about a week). The masks came out amazing! I love mine and actually have it hanging in my hallway for all to see. I am going to come back soon and do a coffee mug and maybe some ornaments. Practically Pikasso has some items already made. So, you can come in and pick out what you want to design and just paint it if that is your thing. If you want to design something from scratch, book a party. Invite me! My boyfriend and I attended the My Bloody Valentine event and were not really thrilled by it. After checking in we picked out our item to paint and gave the information to the girl at the desk. It was immediately evident that they were a bit unorganized. After going through the paint preferences and whatnot we sat down at a table that hadn't been cleaned so the girl had to come clean it up. We were given our items back with the paint colors and brushes. The brushes were caked in already used paint from, what I assume, was earlier in the day use. I had to take the cup of brushes and clean them off myself in order to be used. We started painting our items and waited for the advertised trivia to begin which didn't start until the last 30 minutes of the event and it was almost like it was an afterthought. It comprised of the girl reading off a tablet around 10 questions and that was it. We were under the impression it would be more of an involved trivia night. Please do not get me wrong as we did enjoy the painting aspect but if you have an event, make it an event. For the price of everything we were both a bit dissatisfied. The next time you have a trivia night event, do some research and make it more of an active type of thing rather than just asking questions where everyone screams out answers. Maybe add a prize for the ones who answer correctly the most questions. Just a suggestion. Also, please please please, wash your brushes before handing them to someone to use. This was the most frustrating part of the event for us. read more

we went Wednesday august 8 2023, we had a great time and kept the kids busy for hours. unfortunately the experience was definitely tampered with. the minute we came in the girls working were gossiping and seemed bothered by our business coming in. they were wearing inappropriate work clothes. short spandex shorts with over sized shorts, my girls thought they were naked. when one of the kids asked one of the employees to help her find something she wanted to paint, she seemed annoyed that she had to leave her gossip and barely even looked. they were talking about inappropriate topics when clearly all of the customers had young children. the music choice was also questionable, songs about drugs and drinking. overall I was shocked how un-kid friendly it was. read more

Maybe the love of a movie, flower, song, cause (cancer, diabetes, MS...) or maybe you each want to create your own. Anything goes it's your creation. This place is great for Christmas gifts with all grandma's grandchildren creating a platter, bowl, mug or each their own little gift. If something goes wrong or you notice something mention it. The owner and workers are very nice and wiling to help fix the issue. There is no reason to walk out with something you didn't want, they will help! Great staff! Helpful and friendly! The staff was exceptional, not just when I was at the events, but even when I went back to get my stuff. Any mistakes I made when making my items were fixed for me (complimentary). I've been here twice so far, and I'm excited to go back for more. The first time was with a group of lady friends for a girls night out, and we had a blast. There are so many choices of things that you can paint, it took me forever to pick something. I really like how to price is on the bottom of the item that you choose, and that's the price you pay (no hidden charges!) so that was helpful in making my decision. I ended up choosing a very large mug, had a great time painting it, and I'm still enjoying my mug right now. The second time I came here was for the "Paint Me a Story" kids event that they do on Saturdays. They basically read the kids a story and then they get to paint an item that goes along with the story. I brought my 4 year old, and although we were the only ones there for it, she still had a great time. We painted a bunny figurine, and they were so generous with the paints that my daughter had to use every single color that they gave us. So our bunny turned out very unique. But my daughter loved it, and asks to go back all the time. So this place is great for kids, and great for a girls night out... It's just great. read more
