Does the establishment really expect a family of four to come destroy samples and not buy? Will take our business elsewhere. Obvious the establishment cares more about a penny cost of a spoon than servicing customers....

Johnny has been our instructor on more than one occasion and he's always so thoughtful with his instructions and so patient with everyone, It's always easy to reserve a wheel via text or phone call, which is recommended on busy weekends and evenings, but you can also drop in. There are several wheels in the studio and tables for adding the finishing touches like handles or other accents. You'll photograph your piece to locate it after it's been fired then return about a month later to glaze your piece. Make sure to paint three layers or the color will be super faint. A month after that you'll return to pick up your masterpiece and become hooked like me.

Went back yesterday hoping to take home our pottery that took months for the establishment to produce, over a hundred dollars for the service, not to mention gas driving to Ybor, paying for parking, just to show up and one of the pieces of pottery broke in their care. Mind you, it took 15 minutes for them to locate the pottery. And after investing so much time, energy, AND MONEY into this process, just for the pottery to break under the establishments care, you would think that they would offer you a refund? NO! If this happens the only thing they offer you is to come back and do the process all over again. Really? I'd be a fool. A better system needs to be in place immediately. -The establishment needs to make it clear to customers, before they pay and agree to this process, that no refund is going to be offered if the pottery breaks in their care. (Like the owner said to us, "It happens") -The establishment needs to be responsible for a picture of the pottery. Have the customers create a profile with their information once they pay for the service. Save the picture to their profile. This would save the establishment and the customer so much time of searching when they return to paint their pottery. -The establishment should contact the customer when their pottery is ready to be painted and REMIND them of the additional fee that is required. -The establishment should save another picture of the pottery after it has been painted. -The establishment should contact the customer when their pottery is ready to be picked up. -The establishment should have the decency to contact the customer if the pottery brakes so they don't have to waste a trip to ybor just to hear "It happens".

They have an iPad at the connecting doorway so you can order drinks or snacks delivered while you work. I've even seen parents come in, paint their kids' hand and then print it on the ceramic which is a super cute idea. There are so many pottery varieties to choose from you need like 5-10 minutes just to walk around and gauge options. The prices should be written on the bottom of each piece. It's not cheap to go to any pottery painting place so keep that in mind- once you pick out the piece and paint it how you want, they glaze and fire it for you so you're paying for the whole service beyond just painting. You can also create a mosaic which is a fun change up if you don't want to paint- it's also much more forgiving if art isn't a higher up skill of yours. They give you instructions to take home on how to apply the grout too which is helpful. The workers have always been really nice. They now have an upstairs area too, so even if it seems busy in the main part there's other space. And, they share a building with Tea Largo so many people get an açaí bowl or boba to enjoy while they paint. I like to stop at Pour Bear Coffee for some caffeine to bring along. PicassoZ really is as fun as its name- it's colorful and good and inviting, and seeing the finishing product of your ceramic may be the best part!

This means you can choose from stencils of all sizes and patterns, stamp type devices to imprint designs, and best of all....a computer to search images that the studio will then image and re-size for you on the spot to have a custom stencil for your creation! I've tried painting my own wine glass, blah blah...hideous, but really I was in it for the experience. This studio raised the bar so much for me! I can make my own pieces that I will use on a daily basis that I just love... Headed back in a few weeks, I'm hooked! Who knew that this artless girl could be so...artsy? The staff were attentive and friendly, walking around to each table to check on each person and guide them along the process. The work areas were large and it was nice sound with others to guide and help each other also. There really wasn't an overall explanation on how to do the monogram on the box so we struggled with this until a staff member came by and guided us on the process but by then all but 1 monogram was on a box. Wish there would have been just a bit more overall instructions on this is how we put on and take off the monogram. Overall the experience was lovely and I think everyone really enjoyed it. They walked everyone through the process at the same time and took the time to check on everyone during the process. They allowed us to bring in food and drinks for the party so their was a mixture of home made and store bought stuff. As far as I could tell, the kids all enjoyed it and so did the parents who also participated. It was definitely a neat experience and something thatwould be fun for younger families and maybe even a corporate outing or something similar.
