Hate making this kind of review because they have great products, always have what you need and the manager is super nice and friendly but the rest of the staff is soooo grumpy. They make you feel like you're an inconvenience as if it isn't their job, always have no expression on their face, huff and puff. It's terrible cuz the manager is awesome and the store is great. read more

The best kratom available! Grounded Organics It comes in silver bags with 180 capsules and if I remember correctly it's grown locally or maybe Ireland. It's been the best non-narcotic pain reliever I've found. It was recommended by a friend who had broken his back racing motocross and was cut off from narcotic pain medication by his doctors because of the national oxycontin addiction problem and pressures that the DEA is putting on doctors and pharmacists. Red Vein Kratom is generally considered the most effective for chronic pain relief because the red strains have higher concentrations of 7-hydroxymitragynine, an alkaloid known for its potent analgesic (pain -killing) and sedative properties. Red Vein (Best for Chronic Pain) For: Deep relaxation, nighttime pain relief, and severe, chronic pain. Effects: Provides the strongest calming, seating, and pain relieving effects. Best Strains: Red bali = best for overall pain & relaxation Red Maeng Da=best for potent & fast acting relief Green Vein Kratom (Moderate/Daytime Pain) For: Mild to moderate chronic pain when you need to remain productive. Effects: Balance of pain relief with mild energy and focus. Best Strains: Green Malay = long lasting Green Maeng Da = Balanced White Vein Kratom For: Energy, focus, and mood improvement rather than pain. Effects: Least effective for pain, acting more as a stimulant. Do not exceed recommended doses as this may cause liver toxicity. read more

I used to sell glass to this store regularly. The owner was not always the most responsive even when we had an appointment set. I made several thousand dollars worth of product for an order and he blew me off. I asked if I should find another buyer and he responded saying he doesn't need me and makes plenty of money without my b**** as*. I also once received a group text from the owner using racial slurs about a competing store owner and asking his friends list to leave bad online reviews for that store. read more

Was just looking to get a grinder and the guys helped me find a reliable, affordable one and even more accessories. They were very knowledgeable of the products, answered all my questions and were very patient as I took my time to wander around the store! Super nice people, super cool shop 10/10 recommend read more

Walked in one afternoon and the man behind the counter was very quick to help me out. He was really nice and recommended me a juice for my vape that had salt nict. Unfortunately, I don't know if I received a bad batch or it was super old...but that juice was soooooo thick and not good. Juice kept spitting back at me and kept leaking whenever I hit my vape. I put in another brand of juice in once my cleared my tank of this nasty juice they gave me. My vape hit again perfectly with no juices spitting back in my back or leakage. I don't know if I'll be back since they lost my trust selling me some jank bottle. At least the guy was nice. read more

The Nova 2 Mesh 1.0 coils are always breaking before finishing the FIRST juice I put in it. It should be lasting 3-5 juice refills before being used up. Customer service is great, but the no return policy for completely common bad products infuriates me. I just go to Torched Illusions instead, theirs always lasts as long as they're suppose to. read more

Super helpful & open late. Their prices seem a little higher than their local competition, but their selection & service is on point.

Alittle outdated and over priced wish the had more of a selection most likely won't be back wanted to charge me 60 dollars for a glass pin smaller than my thumb with no artist on it ..... read more

I spend a crazy amount of money here. When I went to redeem my loyalty card I was told I couldnt. Then the associates were completely rude to me. I dont recommend this place at all read more

This place looks really cool and impressive. Huge selection of art glass pieces. And a lot of stuff in the store that makes it a little overwhelming. When it comes down to what you really need, that's where they fall short. First time in, I needed a new bowl and I got a good one but it was pricey. I spent about $10 more than I wanted to but it was late and an emergency. Second time, I needed a bong because, again, an emergency and I don't know other shops here. What I got is completely unacceptable. Overpriced, again I spent at least $10 more than I wanted to and this bong is so awful. I can't even stand to smoke out of it. The quality of the smoke is what I would expect from a cheap bubbler. And the employee both times was on the condescending side. I really can't recommend this shop. read more

Great shop! Superb service, plus they are open late for us night owls! The folks working there are very friendly and helpful! Only place I frequent! read more

I had a great experience at The Hot Box today. It was the first time I had been to their new digs and the spaciousness and ambience are impressive. A young man by the name of Harley assisted me in picking out some products and he was very knowledgeable about the wares in question as well as friendly and hospitable. I will return here because their business ethics, thoughtful sourcing of products, and overall friendliness and helpfulness are important to me when choosing a business. read more

What I like about this head shop most of all is its proximity to a police station, you know in case you didn't like your pipe or smoking accessories, you can directly go to the police for a complaint! "ceci n'est pas une pipe"! read more

I have been coming here for years and will keep doing so. A lot of vape shops are super bro-y and make me feel uncomfortable, but the crew at Hot Box has always made me feel comfortable and respected. I send people there all the time, the staff is the best and the selection is great too. See you guys again soon! read more

Every time I come in to the Hot Box, I get this unsettling feeling that somehow, somewhere, I'm ditching a math class to be there and any minute now a truancy officer is going to drag me back to the hallowed halls of high school. The Hot Box is a cross between a tobacco shop & a Spencer's gifts. You can get hemp jewelry, all types of incense and candles, over-priced but way stylish reusable grocery bags, and (best of all!) Hobo brand 'campfire coffee' flavored candy cigarettes! You will also find a wide array of black-light posters, gag gifts, and 'smoking accessories.' 4 stars for a wide, wide selection & a friendly staff, and for being one of the few retail businesses with the tenacity to hang on to downtown Beaverton all these years. read more

Super helpful staff and great selection of everything! Military/Veterans discount is much appreciated! Thanks! read more

Very helpful! And patient! Very friendly! Thank you for helping out a newbie! I didn't no anything about different pieces and pretty much anything involving Cannabis except smoking it! Just recently I started smoking shatter and definitely didn't no a dam thing!!except YouTube videos lol. The guy helped me out so much just over the phone! This is my go to place now! Helpful and friendly is what sold me!! Thanks guys read more

Great shop love this spot gallery style pimp glass I made it for the last party they gave out sweet high end pieces had bar and food great times don't miss this place. read more

Came here for years, this past visit today I was sold a pipe that didn't have a hole in the bottom of the bowl and was instead next to the carb area making it inoperable. I suppose I should have looked at it harder but assumed this place did a quality check prior to putting in a showcase..my bad, but due to the lack of quality I will go to one of the many competitors in the area that check there product before selling it. read more

Great shop, great selection and locally owned. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I even found a Tom Peterson shirt here which is amazing (most Portland people will know who that is). Huge selections of really awesome artistic glass pieces. Tons of vape stuff and Kratom. Definitely the best head shop in Beaverton if not all of Portland. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. I drove 45 minutes here after calling to make sure that they had what I needed in stock and after getting there was unable to purchase what I needed based on a lack of information given to me by the employee over the phone after I made it VERY clear that I was coming from far away so I wanted to make sure everything was in order prior to wasting 1.5 hours of my time driving. The employees were rude and stand-off ish when I had the issue a-swell, making it seem as though it was MY fault when it was clearly their oversight read more

Eh, head shop, is there more to say? Lots of glass pipes (don't say bong) some cigars and rolling papers. Some ribbon tobacco for cig rolling, plenty of hats, shirts, jewelry, stickers, and all kids of silly pointless junk so they can reach a law saying your establishment cannot be more then 80% tobacco products without charging tobacco tax (or whatever). And as my star rating says "I've seen better." But hey, if you want a bong and flashing grandpa smurf doll, then check it out. (Go to Tonys, up the block) read more

Its more of a novelty store than it is a head shop, I mean they have glass but not a really big selection, pricing was typical on most of the glass although I saw some stuff that was wayyyy overpriced like stupidly overpriced. Selection of papers was ok. All in all if you are in the area check it out if you are passing through town looking to hit up a few cool shops this one will most likely not impress you. read more

This place has a fantastic collection of glass, many of which are made by local artists. Got a sweet Hammer bubbler, which quickly became the nicest piece in my collection. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Just remember to play by the normal head shop rules (remember, these are tobacco products). read more

Way bigger then the smoke shop down the street. I found some awesome new pieces here that i am way proud of. They had alot of things to look at, some not just smoking accessories but related stuff. The staff was very polite and friendly. read more

$2 LPs on the westside? Sweet! Picked up 2 Kansas and Brubeck albums. They have a good selection of dvds. They also have oddities like novelty bandaids. And a collection of shirts with rude sayings or band names. Also a large selection of incense (which thankfully don't stink up the store). And a lot of mary jane type items. The music and dvd selection was the best part of the store for me though. read more

They have been here since I moved to Oregon in 2000. Other places have sprung up. Other places have gone down. I like them. Been comparison shopping for awhile now. Occasionally other places will have items a dollar cheaper or so. On things like vape supplies, these guys battery was 12 while up the street it was 17.99. I've been happy with their glass as well. Even if it was a dollar more for a 30 dollar item. read more

I work down the street and always wanted to check this place out. Finally went in there for the first time to buy a grinder. Good prices and the guy that helped me was super nice. Gave me a $5 discount! Theres so many things to look at and they have really cool glass. They have a punchcard that gets stamped for every $15 spent. Once it's filled you get 15% off any purchase! read more

Just wanted to drop this fresh off a visit--not our first time here, but wanted whoever was working tonight to get their props! Polite & helpful on phone AND in person even though I scooted in juuust before closing. Checked for the juice I wanted when I called, so I didn't make an unnecessary diversion on my way home, AND popped up w the brand of coils my BF has been lookin all over for. Never had a bad experience here, but tonight was just an extra-great exchange. Thanks dude! read more

HORRIBLE!!!!! Worst Colman salesman I have ever met he lied to me said a company highly educated sells there titanium nails with a lifetime warranty. I paid way over retail value because of the warranty only to find out later that it's all a huge lie and bullcrap just to sell me something for more money. CHEATS THIEVES WORST GLASShop ever. GO to TONYS OR NVS. Save yourself the bull read more

I had the option of ordering a high priced item that was on sale by manufacturer at the time for less then the self price at hot box but chose to keep my money local and buy from hot box and I am thrilled that I did! There was a manufacturer defect that caused the item to be unusable within 3 days of purchase. They quickly replace the broken part with only 1 trip back to the store. This unfortunate event turned to a great experience and i will continue to shop there and buy local as Im sure the same experience would have resulted in all savings lost in shipping plus my time and energy as well as waiting weeks for the entire warranty process to be completed by the manufacturer. read more

I love this store, and wish I lived closer to it! I went in today to buy a couple pipes, and casually mentioned to the guy helping me that I had just ordered a silicone nectar collector, and that this method was new to me. He took the time to tell me why the kind of metal the collector is made of matters, how to use it, and some other generally helpful info... He did not blow me off like he was too cool to help me (which has happened at EVERY other head shop I've been too). He took the time to help me pick out the kind of pipes I needed, and was just genuinely sweet and helpful. Plus, the prices are super competitive. I have a head shop across the street from me, and I still drive into Beaverton to shop here. read more

I love this shop. I shop here on the regular for all sorts of items. I'm trying to quit smoking, and am trying the vape e cigs. I had several problems with the first model I purchased and they were so super helpful when I changed to try a new brand. Thank you! The guy who looks a little like captain obvious (sorry I didn't catch your name during my 4 visits!) was so helpful. Thanks, guys and gals!! Happy to continue purchasing for all my needs here! Check it out! Only head shop I go to. The store looks so trippy right now! Alot of impulse items and the artist they are using does sick paintings. Can't wait to get one:) There are some pieces of glass I want to buy just because they look super fly. Just want them to display;) I've been to other head shops and they don't have the feel The Hot Box does. I get help right away when I go here and the Staff will bs w/ me also.
