Came with but if salad that was seasoned. Would definitely recommend. Was very impressed. Cost just £6 There where several desserts that had my attention. Went for hot apple crumble with ice cream. Cost under a fiver. Was great size and tasted lovely. The crumble on top was good and crisp and not soggy. The ice cream was also beautiful. Again impressed. Inside this place is larger than you expect. They have good use of space. I like that it is not noisy in here and feels quite intimate so it's good for conversations. There are lots of fish options on their special board.

That does not mean, however, that I don't know much about coffee shops. And I can tell you that Bennett's is just a wee bit more than your average coffee shop. The lux green leather seats and the sleek interior emphasis Bennett's chic side. It's effortlessly cool, hugely inviting, and mighty impressive. Offering a decent range of food (none of which I have tried, to my disgust) as well as hot and cold beverages, the servers will ask if you're eating, or just in for a 'wee drink'. My reply has always been the latter, purely because I've only had a requirement for a drink...you know how it is - friend invites you for 'a coffee', even though the both of you are die-hard hot chocolate fans. The hot chocolate is sweet and chocolately without being over-bearingly so, and comes in a posh tall glass with those tiny marshmallows...hmmm. Hot chocolate instantly tastes better this way, so I reckon. Bennett's is always hiving, so do get in and grab a seat before they're all gone.Try some of the other hot beverages and food...just cos I haven't.

Other than that the food did not meet what I would have expected from a famous chefs restaurant. The portions where a decent size. I thought thy many have been super tiny. I found the food quite bland. The food highlight was my Canonbear starter and the bacon and cabbage side. My gnocchi main did not have a real depth of flavour. If you want gnocchi ,Horatio Todds is the place. So I was expecting something that would be better than that as this is a famous chefs place. The beetroot starter also lacked flavour. Have had it other places where it had way more taste. The menu has a decent range. Nice To see Sharon's platters on it and also nibbles for the table. Food took ages to be served. We had been there 2 hours and had just finished our mains. Did not get time for dessert as we had to be somewhere. The place wasn't even busy. The price was ok. But would have expected more flavour for what you are paying. I would not be back here. There is way too much eating establishment choice in East Belfast to waste money and taste buds in here.

We were greeted upon arrival by the very friendly and professional Maitre D who confirmed our booking and took us straight to our table, handing us over to our waiter. We ordered a sirloin steak each, done rare, and to cut to the chase, it was the best steak either of us had ever had. It was cooked to perfection and was an excellent quality steak. The accompaniments were delicious, and the service was fantastic - to give credit to the waiter, Neal, who was outstanding. Thank you for a great meal, I will be singing the praises and recommending far and wide!

The Decour is nice and it's a spacious location overall. In good weather, it's nice they have a large patio to accommodate, also. Nothing on the menu really called out to me once I was sitting down and reading through it. It was a quiet afternoon, there was one large party outdoors on the patio and two other tables with two people each. I saw two servers. I decided to order bread and one glass of wine and then move somewhere else for dinner. I enjoyed the breads and the wine. The olive tapenade was divine. The hop-infused whipped butter was interesting on the tastebuds initially, it grew on me. I think they might need more help. The large table was waiting to order for so long, one of the guests came inside to hunt down a server to place their order. Nobody ever checked on me once I had my plate of bread to see if I was enjoying it. I don't think I will return to this establishment.

Happily our waiter was able to help us out and recommended some great choices. The food was excellent. Graze use good local and seasonal ingredients and their quality really shines through in the finished dishes. I had the smoked eel to start which was beautiful. We all had different fish for mains and each was perfectly cooked with fantastic accompaniments. The crab with my hake was delicately spiced and so, so tasty. Could have eaten a bowl of it! The banana parfait dessert was incredible - so banana-y and came with a gorgeous caramel sauce. Looking forward to returning and eating my way through the menu!

It took a while (this is a very busy restaurant) but finally got a table for 4 last Wednesday. It's a very cosy little restaurant, nice friendly atmosphere, the staff were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. Service was speedy, with a very wide selection to choose from on the menu. One thing I will say is that it's very seafood heavy, not something that bothers me but if you're not a great fan of seafood you may find your choices slightly more limited. Having said that, everything was absolutely fantastic. I had pigeon to start which was beautifully cooked, very delicate looking but packed full of flavour. Duck for the main which was just absolutely fantastic, could have eaten two plates of it and still had room for dessert. The desserts are stunning in appearance and have the flavour to back them up. I'll definitely be back if I can get a table again sometime soon.

Unfortunately they don't offer a separate, dedicated Vegetarian menu like their sister restaurant Coppi. But Il Pirata is chic and understated - from the outside there is no hint at what is behind the heavy stained glass door - you could easily walk passed without even giving it a second glance but that would be a mistake. Inside there is a reclaimed feel to this hip Italian. The furniture is all made from rich oak and the walls are paneled with what looks like up-cycled wood. This creates a real authentic rustic feel. The menu is typical Italian with all the usual suspects listed - you've got pizza's. pasta dishes, risotto as well as piatto. I actually opted for the Calzone of the day which at £5 was a bargain (Monday to Friday lunchtime special). It was filled with cheese and mixed Italian meats and was just the right size to ensure that the afternoon isn't spent in a food coma. The calzone was served on a wooden board which actually made sense as I was able to cut through the doe without the fear of making porcelain shriek. The service was second to none - the food was on our table no more than 10 minutes after ordering and the waiter even replaced a coffee he spilt a tiny bit of, even after we insisted that it was fine. To me this is the perfect place for a quick working lunch - the food is light and relatively health and they have lunchtime deals on which make it value for money. I also noticed that they serve draft lager and there was wine listed on their menu. I will definitely be back - there was a lovely relaxed vibe and the Italian food was as good as I've tasted in Belfast.

Busy enough for a Thursday evening, but we got seated no problem and the staff were quick to get our drinks order sorted. The menu had plenty of variety, we opted for some breads and tapenade to start which was lovely however the mains were disappointing, My bf had a pulled pork burger, he said it was bland and a bit over cooked, but the chunky garlic chips were great and a saver! I had chicken and chorizo pan cooked thing, it was far too creamy and made it all a bit rich and bland. Again the chunky garlic chips were a saver though, they tasted great! We didn't stay for dessert, the call of fro yo in Spoon Street down the street was too strong. It's as the sort of relaxed mood and atmosphere I love, and would happily sit there through the night chatting, drinking wine and sampling their extensive cocktail menu, but the food would need to be up to scratch also. Maybe we made poor choices, but the burger was on the specials menu, so you would think it would be good! Not only that it was a little bit pricey. I've had lunch here in the past and been happy enough so marking it on my past experiences also, and I probably will be back at some stage.
