I just can't believe how bad this company is. I have choice warranty and they outsource their work to Sears. Sears then outsources the work to other companies. The hookup guys LLC is one of those companies. I put a claim in for my washing machine. I got confirmation of an appointment with a time frame of 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. . The appointment was confirmed through several emails from Sears and choice warranty. I tried to call to confirm basic information make and model of the washing machine with the hookup guys. I tried to contact this company for 5-day straight to no avail. I made arrangements to stay home from work so I would be available for the technician when he arrived at my home. During that time I continuously tried to contact the hookup guys. And was able to get in touch with Javier. I gave him my order number and he looked up the status. He then told me that he did not have a technician coming out that day. Even though he had all the information in regards to the case created. This guy had every excuse in the book as to why they weren't coming out, it was sears's fault, it was choices fault. They had no intention of even contacting me to tell me they weren't sending a technician. I wasted valuable time and money. They are supposed to arrive at my house tomorrow morning, and I have been trying all day to get in touch with them just to cancel the appointment as I no longer need their services. I'm trying to be courteous and let them know and I can't even get in touch with them. If you have a home warranty service, and they issue this company to you please take my advice cancel and request someone who is capable of getting the job done. If you are considering using this company on your own free will to have anything done, please reconsider. read more

My home warranty company uses this company so I didn't compare any other companies. The repair person was amazing. I got a call when the repairman was about 30 min away,he was quick and efficient,he explained to me what the problem was and what would happen next. By the end of the visit I was so impressed with the repairman and I genuinely liked this person. The parts took longer than I expected to arrive but I got a call as soon as the parts were in to schedule the repair. I have not got the repairs done yet but so far I am impressed . I called Sears and the job was re-schedule for today. Once again I cleared my schedule and once again they didn't show up. Omg. Phone services are down on a Friday early afternoon??????? This has happened before.

Sears sent them for warranty work on both a refrigerator and a washing machine. First they cancelled the appointment and rescheduled for one week later. They also asked what the problems were so they could be prepared when they arrived. They arrived on time and "diagnosed" both issues quickly and stated they needed to order parts. When he left, he didn't leave any documentation or have me sign that he was here as normally happens. I waited for 2 weeks and tried unsuccessfully to reach them. Called Sears and they said no report had been filed and no parts ordered. Sears also reached out to them over a period of 3 days without success. Had to wait an additional week to clear their work order from Sears' system. Now, it'll be 7 weeks before someone else looks at it and whatever time it'll take to get parts. NO thanks to Hook up guys! Heed all the other reviews just like mine. Grrr. read more

I had an incredible experience with this company. Our washer is on a warranty plan. The warranty company assigned a different company to repair and after a month and a half of trying and replacing multiple parts it was still not fixed. The warranty company assigned the hook up guys to come out and take a look. The technician was very informative, polite, and on time. They ran a diagnosis and stood by the entire time a load ran and it seemed to be fixed. After the left the demon washer decided it was not fixed. The warranty company let them know and they were out at the first availability and realized more parts were needed. Some of them were supposed to have been replaced by the last company. Parts were ordered and when they arrived I called and set up the appointment. The technician came out again (on time, in good spirits, and with enough notice). Turns out the last company fraudulently did not replace the part, and because of corrosion the part could not be reached as the nut was seized to the machine. The technician was very apologetic and showed me what was happening. He tried to get the nut off and even recharged the drill in the middle since it was so stuck it was killing his drill. While the washer was not repaired by them (warranty company is finally replacing) the customer service was incredible. If they had been the only company working on my washer the initial month and a half delay would not have happened. The technician was not only friendly but very knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy his job. This company is amazing!!! read more

Poor communication, took 2 months to get my washer fixed becuase they did not send diagnosis reports to my home warranty companies repeatedly. They also failed to properly diagnose my washer the first time so we are currently on claim #2 waiting on another part for my washer. They also only travel to Sierra Vista once a week so even if they receive the parts they need today I won't be able to use my washer for another week, assuming they actually fix my machine this time. Disastrous!!! The Hook up Guys (now calling themselves Appliance Repair Mechanics) were assigned by Sears Repair Services to fix the washer part of my Kenmore stacked laundry center. It was not agitating or spinning. It was supposed to be covered by a Sears Extended Protection Agreement. After the Hook Up Guys initial assessment of the problem, Sears sent the parts that were requested to my house. The tech, Luis, at the next visit told me the computer control was the wrong part. It took another two months and a dozen really frustrating, long calls to Sears for them to get the right part finally delivered. Tech Luis came back out, installed the part and said the machine was good to go. Immediately after he left, I put in a small load of clothes and could see right away that the machine was still neither agitating nor spinning. Because it was after hours, I called them up the next working day. I told them that the problem had not been repaired. They told me that since their tech had told them that it was repaired, that I'd need to go back to square one, contact Sears and start a new ticket. Lengthy argumentation with phone guy Carlos was a total waste. I called Sears who told me that since my protection agreement had lapsed in the interim, and even though that it was active at the time I requested the repair, since the Hook Up guys had said it was fixed, it was not something that would be covered. I told them that the machine had not been fixed as was claimed by the Hook Up Guys but Sears just gave me a big telephonic shoulder shrug.. In short, Sears Repair Services had a third party come out who didn't fix the issue with my machine but who claimed it had been fixed. Because of this, I got screwed by both Sears and the Hook Up guys out of a covered repair. I would warn anyone who uses Sears Home Services to request a different tech group for your repairs. read more

They showed up ON TIME, sent me a heads-up text when they were on the way, called me from the parking lot in my condo to make sure I was ok with them at 8 AM; they came in, did a fine job making repairs etc to my Oven. Sears sent these guys to my house to repair an appliance with a service time between 12 - 5 pm. What I got was a phone, an email and a text confirmation for service, but no service. They were a no call & no show. When I attempted to call the number provided, I was given 2 choices, press 1 for repair or 2 for work order. Didn't matter which I chose cause after 15 seconds I was disconnected on both. When I contacted Sears, the rep called the number she had and got a recording stating they were closed. I now have to wait over the weekend for Sears to do an expedited service call HOPING I wont have to wait another week for service. Informed the Sears rep when they reschedule DO NOT SEND THIS COMPANY!!!! Not that they'd show any way. read more

They arrived unprepared to remove and install. No dolly no truck. Refused to look at appliance instructions. Said they never do they just install. Left with important trim parts and returned them without finishing job. Refused to look at directions that said to install the heat vent the doors had to be removed. They conversed in Spanish and left me without working brand new appliance because they couldn't /wouldn't read the installation instructions. Beyond macho and just left. 2-10 sent them to fix our electric dryer. It was making a grinding sound. The guy that showed up said he fixed it. Went to dry a small load and not only was it still making that sound but adding a squeak every 3 seconds. Called 210 back explaining it wasn't fixed. So Hook up guys called to schedule another appointment, Friday between 8-12. My husband waited, and waited, I called them and they said he was stuck at an installation (it was almost 12:30) we ended up rescheduling for Monday between 8-12, but we're told we'd be 1st. The guys came out, said it was the pully (sp)... ran it and no sound. Keep in mind they ran it with no load in dryer. When I put wet clothes in it later that week the dryer screeched. So loud it scared our dogs and sounded like a fire alarm! After a few minutes it quieted down, so I though it was because it was a new belt & pully. It did it again with the 2nd load. Yesterday I put another small load in the dryer & it screeched and squealed. After almost 10 minutes I stopped it, when I opened the door the load of clothes were hot & smelled like burnt rubber!!!! The drum wasn't turning at all. After 2 times coming out my dryer wasn't fixed, it is now not working at all!!! I ran only 3 loads (actually 2 because the 3rd load never got dry). Now we have a basket of stinky, wet clothes that I have to rehash and find somewhere to dry!! I'm reporting them to 2-10, BBB & any social media! read more

The Hook Up Guys were sent out by 2-10 Home Warranty to fix our gas dryer that wasn't heating. Got an appointment right away & they sent Angel out. He was great, very courteous, polite. I love the fact that they wear a uniform shirt - less sloppy looking! They had to order the part & that was ok, since the dryer was working somewhat, but just took a longer time to dry. We have had a VERY bad experience with another company that 2-10 sent out to fix our dishwasher, so I was a bit nervous. These guys were great. They do contract work for SEARS. They contacted me ahead of time to schedule, they contacted me the day of the service appt., and contacted me 30 minutes before arriving. Professional and kind. They wore masks the whole time. If Sears schedules you an appt and tells you it is with them they are great...HOWEVER Sears schedules those times without consulting them so that is a problem on SEARS! These guys are contractors for Sears for appliance repair. I was scheduled for a repair "from 8am-12pm" to fix a washer. I took the morning off work but went ahead and scheduled a meeting for 2pm. At 11:30 my wife gets a text that they can't make it till 1pm. Uggh. OK I get it. Stuff happens. So I reschedule for next week same time. My wife takes the day off this time to be here for them at this time. At 11:30am she calls me "I've heard nothing". I call. "Oh it looks like the tech is in Sierra Vista and can't make it there until 4pm." In a cheerful voice, like it is no big deal. Oh great! Glad we wasted two days waiting on them. Poor response with dealing with Sears warranty been with out an oven since 3/18/21. Ordered wrong parts on 4/721 when they came back out to install. Haven't been contacted since and I have called multiple times all they say is they will email or I can call and get in contact with Sears myself to find out. Poor communication and wrong diagnosis of problem and irreparable device even after ordering parts

I have an extended warranty on a GE washer that has not worked properly since the day it was installed. I called for service repair, and the clown show showed up. I tried to tell him what the machine was doing. He said to me I see this model machine all the time, GE should stop making them. He started the machine on speed wash. I said this machine makes a grinding noise when it is loaded with wet clothes, and its washing and spinning the water out at the same time. He said well this machine has a sensor that tells me things whether or not its making the noise your telling me about. So he ran the machine with nothing in it and took a video while it was doing nothing like what I said. He said I don't carry parts to repair, and the company doesn't like us to tear into a machine, its a 4 hour job. I said so you don't know whats wrong so you just order parts without knowing what the problem is? He said yes that's how we do things. So he packed up and up left. I received an e mail from the warranty company that all repairs had been done on my machine and I only wanted a replacement machine. Case closed. I called the warranty company and said this is not acceptable. She said she would call another repair company and would not be sending Hook Up Guys again. Haven't heard from anyone else. Do not allow this company in to fake a repair service. Awful. If I had not had the extended warranty, this person would have charged a service call, and parts when he had no clue what the problem was. Machine still making grinding noise, so guess I will wait until it finally kills itself. I cannot believe a warranty company would turn a scam company loose on the public. read more

This company was chosen by American Home Shield to troubleshoot our refrigerator. The fridge would not cool below 47 degrees. The first technician who came out said that was normal. We corrected him and showed him the acceptable temperature levels or a refrigerator. He watched You Tube clips for about 10 minutes then started pushing all of the buttons on the front of the fridge. He ordered two parts for it. The parts took nearly three months to arrive. A different technician installed the parts, but did not seem confident that they would fix the issue. They did not fix the issue as the cooling problem persisted. AHS tried to get them to come back out to troubleshoot again, but The Hookup Guys told them that they weren't certified to work on my appliance. That information would have been great to know BEFORE they worked on my appliance. A second company came out and told us that parts were missing. I'm not sure where the parts went, but The Hookup Guys were the only ones who worked on It. Not only were their technicians terrible, but their customer service (or lack thereof) was awful when I called in for status updates. I would not trust The Hookup Guys to plug in a toaster. DO NOT hire this company for any reason. read more

Terrible company! They make it more difficult than it needs to be. I was left on hold for Alex to figure out what happened and he could not. The service tech did not put the part in or request authorization from his manager. I Put in a washer repair ticket 12/28/2021, still waiting to get repair completed by "The Hook-up Guys" in Tucson. The "Hook-up Guys", Alex customer service rep is an idiot, hung up on me because he cannot find the part the service tech was to have gotten approved by his manager. They replaced the soap dispenser internal drawer but the surface does not close flush. Alex just told me the work order is closed and they have to come back out to find out the part number that needs to be replaced. The Hook-up guys are idiots especially Alex the rep. He is condescending and nasty! They had the machine completely disassembled & now Alex tells me they need to come back out for a fourth time....waiting 2 months to get this repaired! Totally unacceptable. Avoid 2-10 Home Warranty...They had no other service company they could offer and The Hook up Guys are TERRIBLE!!!!! I don't want to do business with a company that feels they are doing me a favor by helping me. I will do whatever it takes to use another company. Now Tylor at 2-10 Home Buyers says there is a parts lock on my service order! Two months in and no one knows anything! Great service and communication with me the customer. Professional and thorough. Installed wall mount TV and components and explained the functions (for the less electronically inclined like myself). Looked great but there was a minor issue with it I noticed later on. They cheerfully and quickly came back and fixed it, no questions asked. They stand by their work.
