So charming!! The Honey Bean was my next stop in my attempt to try and rate every cortado in the city. Armed with two split mini air conditioners, The Honey Bean keeps staff and patrons cool by also slinging really neat drinks. I'm currently on a health journey so instead of trying a seasonal latte, I opted for the cortado and a spinach and artichoke quiche. Before we get into the food I wanted to acknowledge the layout of the shop and the fact that there's a flower shop cohabitating with this spot. It makes for a very unique experience and the next time I visit (cause there will be a next time!) I'd like to buy myself a small bouquet. I think it would brighten up my apartment. Staff? Super friendly. The guy that took my order made nice small talk, and when I said it was my first time he got very excited. Even more so when I said I wanted my cortado "for here" because he had instinctively grabbed a to-go cup. I also ordered the quiche and sat down in a comfy chair to wait. Not even five minutes later my order was ready. The cortado was strong! It had a bold, roasted flavor - I thought it would put hair on my chest!! But it went very well with the quiche, which was salty in a delicious way. There was almost always a line out the door here, and for good reason. It's comfortable and cozy, perfect for folks to settle and study, and in a trendy side of town. Overall, a great spot.
09 Feb 2026 Walking back from Vision Source I decided to try this place. It is larger than it appears from the outside. You order at the left side of the counter and pick up on the right. The space is inviting. Couches, comfy chairs and tables for individual or group work sessions. Plenty of natural light. I ordered the Lone Ranger based on what I'd read in other Yelp reviews. It was quite tasty. I threw in a large cinnamon roll made by Scratch Kitchen. Sorry Kitchen, I never had anything this good when visiting your restaurant. You bite into the roll and bunches of pecan pieces fall out. Kind of like a mother bug giving birth to hundreds of baby bugs. This analogy is saying this is good. Ha, ha. I will definitely be back.
Five stars, no hesitation The Hot Caramel Cowboy from Honey Bean Coffee is pure magic. Smooth, rich latte with the perfect caramel sweetness--comforting, bold, and addictive. The cranberry pop tart was really good also. The inside was really cute and roomy and they do fresh flowers really cute. The staff were really nice.
I really like when businesses utilize existing spaces. This coffee shop was charming, it has a vintage, urban feel. Cozy sections for you to enjoy your coffee alone but also an area with a long tables to gather with friends. There's seating for you to use inside, and out. They also have a small store for trinkets and a florist on site. I ordered a chai latte it was delicious not overwhelming with cinnamon. I also ordered a pumpkin bread slice. Their staff is attentive and made the atmosphere feel like home.
No drive through at this spot but they do have seating available inside as well as outside. Small gifts available for purchase as well as flower bouquets. Good coffee, I tried the caramel cowboy and enjoyed it. Staff were friendly.
This is such a cute place! A few things right off the bat, there is not a ton of parking in the front but there is more around back and across the street. Additionally, the seating inside fills up fast. Other then that this is super cute and tasty. The spring menu had a good variety and the staff is friendly and flexible, I ordered the smores drink and they let me switch out the milk and make some adjustments. The drink was very good and everyone is was with was satisfied with theirs. Inside the place is super cute, there is a small flower shop inside as well so you can buy bouquets and there are fresh flowers throughout. I would definitely return if in in that area
I stopped by The Honey Bean on a Friday morning and ordered the S'more's Graham*. While the drink was yummy, I'm not sure if I could get myself to come back as my drink ended up coming out to over $7 for a 12 oz cup with ice (not including tip). The inside, however was very nice and seemed like a great place to study or just to hang out with friends! They sell bouquets of flowers as well. There's also a patio area if that's more your style. They are also dog friendly which is really nice! Definitely stop by The Honey Bean to give it a try!
Wow, why haven't I come here sooner?? This is a great spot to grab not only coffee (or other caffeinated beverages), but a terrific place to get some work done or catch up with friends. There are plenty of seats available, either in cozy chairs or high top seating. I got the Lone Ranger, and it was delicious. Service is super friendly, and there is also free WiFi. Make sure you get the rewards stamp card so that for every drink you purchase, it'll go towards a free drink (buy 10, get 1 free). I'm also loving the Christmas decorations and was able to get some work done in one of the comfy chairs by the front entrance. I think this may be my go-to place to get coffee now...loving the vibes and everything else about this place!
Recommend: Yes. Food: I ordered the Cowboy Sweetheart. It had a good amount of cold foam, and was sweet throughout. If you like sweeter drinks this is one that I def recommend. Service:. The service was fast and friendly. Ambiance: I went about 30 mins before closing and the shop still had a lot of people sitting around enjoying their coffee. The space is big so I can see a big group of people coming to hang out or even having game night. Parking is very limited.
Line was out the door when I arrived. Got a classic iced coffee and it was pretty good. They had a lot of seasonal flavored drinks at the time. The flower shop area was pretty small. The build your own bouquet area was cute but for three stems of flowers you're looking at like 10 bucks. The tables and chairs that were there were full but looks like they get a large crowd working or journaling.
Great little spot, the baristas were all super nice. I got a caramel cappuccino and my husband got the cinnamon roll. I liked the coffee and cinnamon roll but my husband wasn't a fan due to how many pecans were in it. So if you don't like nuts avoid it there's an okay amount of seating but parking is a little tight. Over all we enjoyed it here.
When I walked in I instantly regretted it because there was a line and I was in need of caffeine . For the looks of it though it seems longer then what it actually was and only waiting about 7-10 mins for the door to the counter. I was surprised how busy it was as it didn't look like it from the outside. So due to that line I was ready to be disappointed. Then I got to the front and they didn't have what I wanted HOWEVER they were let me mix and match a few things from there manu. I ended up making a Carmel Apple latte and it's probably the best drink I have made at a coffee shop. I loved it so much because it reminded me of the caramel apple lollipops I used to have as a kid. The baristas were even excited to see if the drink was going to be good or not. All in all it was a great drink, great vibes, and worth the wait in line.
The honey bean is a downtown area favorite coffee shop! They are always quick, even during the morning rush. The two signature lattes are great. The Caramel Cowboy is sweet but not overwhelmingly so, while the Lone Ranger is perfect for coffee lovers who want something more than just a black coffee. The seasonal menu makes it fun to always have a chance to try something new too. They also have a bunch of pastries to choose from, which they can heat up for you. The cinnamon roll was good. With their stamp card, every 10th coffee is free! They also have an app with rewards. The inside has lots of different seating options including high tables and chairs, regular tables, sofas, coffee tables, and extra comfy lounge chairs. There is a smaller room with a pretty tile floor and cozy seats to catchup with friends, and the larger main room with everything else feels very open. The outside seating is cute, it's just generally hot in Texas so inside is better. The inside also has a mini fresh flowers shop where you can purchase premade bouquets or select your own stems. read more

I LOVE this café!! Former coffee shop and specialty tea shop barista here! I've only just discovered The Honey Bean a couple of months ago, but it's become one of my favorite cafés! It is so spacious and cozy here, and I adore the fact that it also doubles as a flower shop. There's ample seating to relax or catch up with friends over a cup of coffee, the big windows let in a bunch of sunlight, and the plants and beautiful flowers keep the air feeling fresh! I've been a big fan of their Honey Matcha Latte and while I want to branch out and try other drinks, this one is too perfect. It felt wrong to go to The Honey Bean and not try a drink featuring their honey, and I honestly don't think I want to use any other sweetener. No notes on the matcha, it's smooth, rich, and made excellently every time, but the honey just makes it even better. The floral notes seem to make the honey even sweeter and adds a lovely fragrance to the matcha without drowning out the matcha's natural flavor. It's the perfect drink to have while sitting amongst such pretty flowers. I haven't had many of their pastries, but I can say that their Bacon, Tomato, and Spinach Quiche is really tasty! While I'm sad that I didn't learn of this place sooner, I'm excited to return often to make up for lost time. I cannot recommend this café enough! read more
Super cute spot!! Randomly visited with a friend to get out the heat and chat for a bit. I chose a matcha and my friend got a bottled juice from the fridge. We also tried one of the gluten free donuts they offer and it was yummy!! The service was excellent, everyone was so friendly and welcoming! There were quite of few people on laptops looking studious so it seems this spot brings good vibes for getting work done! This place is so cool! It's split between a flower shop and a coffee shop so you can get bouquets and lattes :) I got a Lone Ranger latte which was absolutely delicious and tasted kind of like a cinnamon graham cracker. A few couches and comfy chairs on the inside for sipping coffee. Not a lot of tables for working. Great spot to lounge and chat with friends read more

New fav coffee shop in San Antonio! The ambiance was cozy, sweet, and great seating. Love the flower shop! The coffee was so good and I'm already ready to try the other drinks on the menu. The people were very kind and provided great service! Also thankful there is enough parking which makes it an extra step of welcoming and convenient. Can't wait to go back! read more
The coffee was good, service was good as well. I like the entrance that has section with cute coffee and bookish merch. If it wasn't for the 15 or so flies in there I would probably try this place out as a study area but I don't think I'll be coming back. I understand flies when it's an outside business but I just don't understand how there was so many flies in an inside establishment. They asked if we wanted a pastry but there was literally a fly inside the case ON a pastry doing its thing. No thank you, I almost didn't want to drink my coffee. read more

We love our walkable neighborhood, especially this local coffee shop! They have pastries, quiche, kolaches, coffees, teas, juices & other beverages plus fresh flowers to take home or gift to someone special. The customer service is excellent.
