nobody there seems to know what making a reservation is. placed order, was charged $500 for deposit 2 weeks in advance. arrived at arranged time to be told my order had been canceled. when i asked who canceled i was told "they don't provide us that info". heres the kicker - the machine was in their parking lot but the computer said it wasnt so i couldnt even redo my reservation. I contacted HD customer service and was told i had to call the rental center to straighten this out after telling him/her that i had already done that so they were no help. I resolved my issue by closing my HD account (not my 1st time having an issue with HD) and renting from Sunbelt Rentals. I wasted gas and had to pay 2 workers to sit around all morning. Don't buy at Lowes!!! I ordered a dishwasher - almost $1000 - and they put a hold on my bank account for that money, and then, with the hold STILL IN PLACE - they attempted to charge my account a second time. When I called customer service, their only reply was "we can't do anything, it's the system, we cannot release the hold" and they suggested I use another card or reschedule delivery. I cancelled my order - I will not buy from Lowes ever again, and the hold is STILL on my bank account - I had to use someone else's credit card to buy a dishwasher from another company. No help & employee called me an asshole. Worst Home Depot I've ever been to. I've visited this Home Depot at least five times in the last month. The parking lot is awful. While there are a lot of workers in the store, there is rarely anybody to help. I asked two different employees for help today and both blew me off. One employee I asked to borrow her tape measure just to confirm the width of the door and she's told me to go to customer service even though she had one clipped to her apron and was not using it. And customer service was across the stor. Then as I was getting the door into my car, another employee in the parking lot called me an asshole. While the cashiers have always been lovely, I will drive out of my way to avoid this place. read more

I spent $25 to have Home Depot come out and measure carpeting. Then I ordered the carpeting. All said and done roughly $10,500 give or take a couple hundred. The installer called and scheduled. Then cancelled since the rug wasn't in yet. Then had to reschedule yet again. Day of install comes. Men come, drive over the trash, blast music during the install. Then tell us there is not enough carpet. I call the store to find out. They will look into it. Now mind you the installer ripped up the carpet. Not anything we told them to do and the carpet being replaced is a distinct RED color. A couple days go by with no carpet, my daughter sliced her foot on a tack strip. Maria from the ordering department says the measurer never measured the part in question, though we watched him measure. It is a small hall portion. She says to fix it, it will take 2 weeks to order the carpet and I have to pay $600. I said why am I paying for you guys' mistake? Someone has to pay for the carpet but she could ask her manager. Asks me to call back later in the week so she can talk to him and ask his approval. I call her back on specific day, no answer, so I leave her a message. It is the holiday weekend. I email her on the Tuesday in the morning so I can maybe get a response. Nope. Call back, get run around, transferred repeatedly, oh she left for the evening, oh wait here she is, I will transfer you. Only to get her voicemail again. Call back two more times, finally reach her to be told a week after, they will take $100 off. Worst customer service after paying so much money. read more

He tried to upsell me then when I told him no he told me he'd set me up with someone for pricing. I told him I'm doing the work myself i just need pricing for countertops and doors. I have the measurements. Also specified laminate. Got a call from the guy today (a week later) saying he doesn't price out laminate so I have wasted a week. I have gone to Home Depot for everything for my entire project. Probably spent $10k in the past year but I am switching to Lowe's because this is ridiculous. I purchased several appliances from Home Depot. My fridge was delivered on a Tuesday, on Saturday they came back to exchange my stove for a better one, the first one was defective. The delivery person Put a dent in my new fridge. Home Depot won't take it back and their agent, Sedgwick, won't rep,ace it and won't acknowledge that it was the drivers fault. So, unless I sign a ridiculous release, I'm stuck with a dented fridge that is only two weeks old. If I sign it, they will give me money toward the repairs. Collis & Mark have a great understanding of what Customer Service means. In fact, I would go beyond that and say they understand Hospitality. I went to The Home Depot in Shrewsbury but their saw for cutting plywood was broken. I went to The Home Depot in Marlborough and the guy basically said he was too lazy to help me. The Home Depot in Worcester is lucky to have Collis & Mark. I am grateful for both of them helping me with project (building a bearded dragon cage). Mark is a natural leader and people person. Collis goes above and beyond with work ethic. It was almost like everything that had happened prior meant nothing.... that's how happy I was with the level of help these two provided. It seems that this Home Depot has its share of problems, but honestly, what store doesn't. This review is for Faith, who works in Customer Service. Always happy to see me, Faith is happy and smiling when working with customers. I went three times to pick up various parts of my order (not at all her fault), and each time, there were a slew of people in line. Faith took care of each and every one of them, making sure that they were happy before leaving. Even though she was swamped, she never let the smile leave her face. I ordered a Samsung microwave about a month ago. Received it after 2 weeks. Installed it one week after receiving it. It did not work. Contacted Home Depot and was told I had to deal with Samsung. Contacted Samsung and they sent repair person, who never tested anything just said it needs thermostat. He Ordered thermostat two weeks ago, and was supposed to come today to fix it. No one called me so I called them. Supposedly the part is not in yet. Mind you this is a BRAND NEW microwave that I have not used yet. I now have to host a large family gathering at Thanksgiving with no microwave. NEITHER HOME Depot nor Samsung would do anything to help me pretty much I just have to wait for a part to come in, who knows when, and hopefully that will fix the problem with my BRAND NEW MICROWAVE!!!! This store is vastly inferior to the Leominster Home Depot. You go up a narrow winding road to get to it, and there is poor visibility. I almost got hit coming out of the parking lot. It's so narrow it should be a one way road. There was a big spray painted sign by one door "Exit Only" so I went to the other entrance only to have staff yell at me and send me back to the exit only door. Nor was this the only issue in the age of coronavirus. There were no wipes for the cart handles and they force you to do self-pay touching a dirty screen that everyone else touches but again don't provide any wipes. The store is very cluttered with narrow aisles that have two way traffic, no tape on the floors to direct people down alternating aisles. The first employee I asked had no idea where to find the product I wanted. The second person looked it up on his phone and gave me the aisle and bay. It was in stock. I never could find the cleaning products aisle which I was also going to check out. The layout is very confusing. Do not come here if you are claustrophobic. Between the store design and the mandatory mask it will not be a pleasant experience. Maybe during normal times it is better, but the store is not coping well with change. On the bright side it is such an uninviting place there is no wait to get in. read more

What a nightmare. I ordered something from Oxford was supposed to be delivered the next day. They kept on changing the date. I was then told I can pick up in Worcester. I go there no one picks up for curb side. I go in and was told they don't have it. After 15 mins they find it but it was on a top shelf and they have to get someone to get it wait another 15 mins ask for a manager and they never show up another 3o mins go by ask again and am ignored again. I finally go get someone myself and to top it off it was on a second shelf where you needed push stair. The item weighed a whole whopping 20 pounds. I will never shop at Home Depot again read more

Bought a refrigerator online from them. Needed to tweak the order and remove old appliance pickup option. Spent about 15 minutes on their 800 number to finally have it (never a human, always an automated system) to tell me to call the local store. Called the local store for customer service on the online order. Immediately put on hold. After 5 minutes talked to someone in appliances. They said I had to wait until the fridge was delivered, then drive into the store with all my paperwork, and they would refund me then. I personally think that's quite unreasonable. People order stuff online to not go to the store, and expect to be supported online. read more

I went to buy paint here. So I gave the the paint guy the color chip told him how much and what sheen I wanted. At first I noticed that label and the paint was diiferent than what I was use to see but though nothing of thinking maybe they just change the print on the labeling Well it turns out I was given the paint/primer mix. The man who was mixing the paint for me did not even ask if that is what I wanted and shame on me for not stating that I wanted the regular paint. And the paint / primer mix is also $12 more a gallon. And the reason I was given the more expensive paint was because the color chip I gave him was for the paint / primer mix. So the moral of the story is when you buy paint at the home depot pay attention to the color chip and what kind of paint you are getting because they may not ask you what you want. read more

This place is a hell-scape for online ordering and "free pick up." Everyone is nice enough but the computers are down, the desk for pick up is understaffed and undertrained. I waited 25 minutes in line to pick up something I could've grabbed off the shelf. The problem? They are using pick up online as the returns desk as well. Solution? Staff the returns desk with two people and the online pick up with one. Easy. I will not be coming back here. By contrast, Lowe's just a Street over has extremely helpful and easy online pick up. Ordered a lawnmower and gas can there and it was ready for me when I got there and I was out of there in 5 minutes. Time is money. ;-) Update 8/5/18 - Went to Lowe's in Worcester to buy a ride-on lawn mower the other day. What a great experience. Everyone was so helpful and not at all like Home Depot in Worcester. Can I give zero stars? First we wait ONE HOUR to be helped at the service desk because that was the only place we could order a grill and get it delivered. Please take notice and appropriately staff the store and educate on when and how to assist staff with long lines. Now I am on the phone waiting to speak to the manager to figure out why my grill wasn't delivered today as scheduled. I have been transferred FOUR times and the first time I called the employee didn't even know how to transfer a call. I have worked in customer service all my life. It's a difficult job in many ways but most, if not everything, can be solved with communication and education. UPDATE: the manager (Jessica) was extremely helpful. She remedied my situation and took feedback. Perhaps corporate needs to take notice of a store struggling to help fix the issues and to reward their strong employees such as this manager. read more

I just had an interview here. Home Depot wants employees who do not value their families and God. I will never step foot in a retail store on the weekends. If you shop retail on the weekends then you are supporting the mentality that family time is not important. I am having a hard time comprehending how so many people do not value their families and their families mental health. I put in on my first application I am not available on the weekends and they still allowed me to go forward in the process to try to convince me to take time away from my family. I do my shopping during the week. Saturday is family and sports with my son and Sunday is for God and time with family. I know this is not the proper place for this review. I had a curbside pick up order. They grabbed my order number after sitting in line for 20 minutes, no problem. Then after 45 minutes and several people who were waiting in line to enter the store and curbside were leaving with more supplies than I ordered. I asked where my order was. He said "oh they are picking it." We waited over an hour for our stuff and finally left. I came in looking for super strong tape and the help I received in researching such product was great! He looked online and all throughout the store calling on all departments to assist. In the end, he sold me a product that sounded great, but is really only able to be used as a repair wrap (as in to wrap it around something multiple times to bind it rather than a patch which tape could be cut and reapplied to repair the broken piece). In the end, I was left with an over-priced product that I couldn't use and as I sit here researching the tape necessary needed for my repair... I see that it is only available at Home Depot according to the Google Shopping search and while checking the stock nearby, the Home Depot website states there are 10 available at this very store. Too bad we didn't stumble across it in any of the 4 areas that we checked while I was in the store! read more

A Temporary Red Flag Flew Over This Shopping Experience We have been buying wood pellets for the past seven years from various local vendors. Last year we gave our business to this Home Depot and were overall very pleased with the price, the delivery and the overall service. So we thought we would do it all over again this year. I went in to order three tons of wood pellets and the purchase was compete. All that remained was the delivery. This year the sales people did say that the delivery would be "curbside". Well they said exactly the same thing last year too. However, last year after they brought them to the front of my garage they used a simple, common hand cart to roll them into my garage and into place against the back wall so I could park my car in the garage as usual. This year, as big as the delivery truck was, a huge flatbed, trailer truck -- had no such hand cart at which time the driver simple said --Curbside! Well, last year it was curbside and somehow Home Depot got them an extra fifteen feet into my garage? Well to make a long story shorter, I called Home Depot and spoke to Rosanna and Ben who were able to make and unhappy customer very happy indeed. Ben said he would be out with a hand card the very next day and roll them in with the help of a coworker. When the appointed time came Ben was there at my door with the handcart and a nice smile. In almost no time at all, the pellets were placed neatly in the front of my garage so that I can now park my car where it needs to go in the thick of winter. THANK YOU Rosanna and Ben!!! Because of you, my shopping experience at Home Depot had a happy ending. Note: My advice to others who need delivery of a purchase is to be very clear and very sure as to the all important aspects of your delivery. I waited for over an hour at the service desk to place an order, and both girls, with wacky colored hair, hoops in the ears, and covered in tattoos, were just very rude, and really useless. I spoke to management and mentioned they could try to train their staff a little better, and the manager replied by saying, ok. I still go into this Home Depot, and they haven't improved. Me and my mom had bought a sander to sand our floors. And of course we went to Home Depot because that's where we are closer to. So my mom had brought the sander and signed the contract. We get home and are about to start sanding and it's not working. So we try everything and realize after having it for a whole day that they didn't give us the main piece for the sander.
