Nate gave us the infamous finger led us in the wrong direction. Terrible customer service. I know they know they suck. Went in for siding and lumber. Needed somebody to cut down the siding, everyone said "let me see if I can find someone" one guy said "yeah, they'll meet you at the saw". nobody came. We finally decided to just take it at that length hoping it would fit in the car, asked one last person while we were walking out if they could cut the wood. Matt was the only helpful one. Well lets start with Service or should I say the lack of. On my way into town which is around 16 minuets from where I live, I called the store to find out about electrical supplies I needed the A.I service was as use less and I later found out about the employee at the Service Desk. The phone system said it was unable to understand and it would connected me with the department I had inventory questions about. I drove to Home Depot which took 17 minuets and still no one has answered the phone. As a matter of fact the phone was still ringing at the Service Desk which had no one waiting as I walk up to it. When as why the phone was not answered her reply was that they were busy. Right!!!! I said seeing that there was no one there. It might have been so before I arrived, but then the question is why didn't you call for help? If the store can not afford to man more than one person at the Service Desk at 2:45 in the afternoon in December maybe they it shouldn't be open. Then I requested for some one in the electrical department to assist, no one showed up. All I wanted was to purchase a 30A General Electric SNG POLE BREAKER. Which I found on own. With this type of Service or should I say LACK OF SERVICE I will not be buying supplies form Home Depot but shop at Lowes instead from now on. I know I'm just one person and Home Depot will not go broke with the lack of my business, but as they say one unhappy customer will tell ten other. So Grow up Home Depot. This place has anything and everything! No wonder they are the worlds number 1 home improvement store. As you walk in, you're install greeted by an associate that welcomes you and asks if you need any assistance! As a customer I totally value that. Also, if you come in with a coupon, the store can price match any local or other retail plus a 10 percent discount. Of course they don't promote that but always keep that in mind. Military discount is from asking, so any veterans, active or reserve make sure you ask for the 10 percent discount. By far the best Home Depot store I've ever visited. read more

I have given up on this particular Home Depot, except the tool rental shop. THE REASON, is you cannot get help from employees at 5his store. Trying to find an employee to help you is what I feel like the early settlers must have experienced looking for water in the dessert. You know it exists but but where. My wife and I went to the paint department and grabbed a gallon of paint off the shelf. There was a female employee standing behind the counter who disappeared on our way back to the counter never to be seen again. So I began my search for an employee. I ran into several customers along the way and asked if they had seen an employee only to be told they were also trying to find someone to help them. I located a young man in appliances and he was eager to help. I wish I had gotten his name because he was in the front running for employee of the year at this store. We told him about coming in earlier in the month and speaking to a young lady at the paint counter. My wife showed her a picture of a paint code and she said she would mix it and have it waiting when she returned. The gallon of paint was there and she assumed it was ready. We bought the paint and had a painter put it on the house. It had not been blended to our color and stood out like a Zebra Stripe. When we returned it to the store we were informed by the people at the counter that it was our fault for not verifying the paint color. I said it was hard to verify something with someone who is not there. After calling her manager we were still told it was our fault for not verifying the paint code. I can understand buying what you want, BUT, make sure to go in pairs, this way if you accidentally find an employee, one of you can keep them at the location until you can get what you came for. Incidentally when we did get back with the young man that helped us, when we left there was a line behind us. If this Box Store closes it will lie strictly at the management and employees feet. read more

I have been disappointed by Home Depot more than once. Staff acts like they could careless if you shop there. Yesterday I went in because I heard an ad on radio, when I ask about it there were 4 employees in customer service area . Not one had heard about it. One man tried to look it up but the rest were totally unconcerned and one even said "try Lowes". Finally I ask for a manager , the manager came got on the computer and started looking for ad. The manager did not greet me or speak to me but ask her employee what I wanted. When she couldn't find anything ,she said that radio ads didn't always pertain to our store . read more

I've come here on several occasions, but this is the first chance I've had to review this place. Immediately after entering Home Depot, I was greeted by a sales a sales associate asking if there was any item that I needed in particular. Within a few seconds, I was pointed in the right direction. This process made it easier and much faster than wandering aimlessly through aisles hoping I'd be able to find what I needed. Also, there is a self-checkout for a much quicker process. My whole experience from entrance to exit was about five minutes. I will definitely come here again if I have any further hardware needs. read more

I prefer Home Depot over the other big-box store in town. The management there seems to put extra effort in hiring people who actually care. I setup consumer and revolving commercial credit here. It makes life and business run very smooth. These guys have the market cornered on a variety of specialty screws that I discovered and like to use--Multi-Mate. They have broader hours than a lot of the other suppliers I use which has come in handy several times. read more

Do not order cabinets from here!!! If you have a special order for a cabinet there is a minimum of 5 cabinets that have to be bought in order to get the special. If you return any of those cabinets with out the others being in than it cancels out the special order. Make sure if you get cabinets from here that you buy one cabinet at a time and not all at once. read more

Where is the Customer Service? Train your staff? We have spent a lot of money at Home Depot. Coming from Houston, I cannot say that all Home Depots can be compared to the poor customer service of the San Angelo Home Depot. In my last two visits, I have experienced the following: Diversion Tactics/Ignorance: The staff does not want to be inconvenienced, so they send you to an aisle to find the item you need. The item is not there. You return and they are either gone, or still talking to their co-worker/buddy and send you to another "incorrect" aisle. Unprofessionalism- I stood in a long line in the garden center, 100 degrees outside, while the cashier argued with clients, lectured them, took breaks to eat her snack, and misinformed customers on how to use the credit card machine. No Staff Available - The store has very limited staff. It is difficult to find help. When you do, it is very likely you will not get it. Check Out Process - WHY does this take so long? Open more registers! You can't use the self check out for many items at Home Depot. I will begin shopping at McCoys or Builder's Supply. Their customer service is so much better. Sorry Home Depot, but you need to work on this in the San Angelo location. read more

Absolutely the worst! Called and was put on hold for 20 minutes. They did not know if they had a washing machine available on the floor today, put on hold another 20 minutes. Talked to the manager , named Chief Herrera, Who in the end of the conversation ended up hanging up on me. They ended up losing a sale and a customer for life. read more

I generally prefer The Home Depot over the other box stores, but I'm completely frustrated with the service that I received today. So frustrated that I refused service (or lack there of actually) and took my business elsewhere. While trying to place a call into The Home Depot I selected the appropriate department through the touch tone selections and after spending a brief time on hold waiting for someone to answer I was greeted by an inaudible woman who seemed frustrated to have to answer the phone. I paused briefly to try to make out the name of the woman that answered the phone and before I could get a word out she repeated "Hellloooo?!?!" In an incredibly catty tone. I'm the one that was waiting on hold and you're going to get an attitude with your customer when they couldn't understand a word you said when you answered the phone and therefore didn't respond immediately? I'm so frustrated with customer service from people in our society these days. It just doesn't exist anymore. I responded to the woman on the other end with a simple "I'm sorry you can no longer help me". She said thank you and hung up. It didn't bother her one bit that she lost a customer. read more
