With Home Depot, I did it once, and they remember that on my account. Lowe's remembers my account, but somehow thinks that my Veteran status might "expire"??? It's situations like these that make me run to Home Depot instead of Lowe's. P. Since 2020 the once great selection of water heaters at Lowe's went from a few options like Whirlpool, GE, etc to A.O. Smith ONLY. In a rural area of Texas it is hard to find good products and A.O. Smith isn't one of them. Please check Yelp for Review on A.O. Smith. I let Lowes know that I was unable to remove the Anode tube, which needs to be replaced every six months. It was on so tight not even an Air Impact Wrench could not remove it. Since A.O. Smith would not respond since it was a warranty problem, I contact Lowe's figuring they might be able to help, after all they went exclusively to A.O. Smith Products including water heaters. Lowe's recomendation was to buy another water heater. Really? You sold me a defective water heater and you solution is to buy another potentially defective water heater. If the product is manufactured in such a way that you cannot do the required maintenance on the water heater (and other have the same complaint on the Lowe's website product reviews) why sell the product at all? So, as value for you money, none. This product has a 6 years warranty, but you as a consumer will never be able to get them to honor it, because it is defective from the start. Really, who ever takes the water heater apart to check to see if the anode tube is easily removable? When would you do this, before installation, immediately after purchase, at the recommended 6 month level, or never? By the time you realize that the Anode Tube cannot be unscrewed, it is too late, you own the defect. And to top it off, Lowes DOES NOT CARE that they sell sub-standard products. read more

We ordered a new patio door (French style door). It took 4 to 6 weeks for it to arrive. When the delivery crew arrived they ripped out the entire door frame and sliding glass doors. Then they pulled the new door system from the truck. As they were installing it my husband said that is not the doors we ordered. But of course at that point we had no choice but to let the men install it as our's was ripped apart. The next day we went back to Lowe's and complained. The correct set of French doors was ordered again. Fast forward 4 weeks and the wrong set of doors came in again. Once again my husband went to the store and spoke with the manager and the salesman. The manager said he would personally handle the matter. Fast forward 4 more weeks. We are notified that the new doors are in. My husband went to the store to verify that this time it was correct, it was not! The manager said that he had personally contacted the door manufacturer and confirmed that the correct door had been ordered. My husband and I spoke with "Ski", the manager. He said that it was obvious we were not going to get the correct doors after three tries and it was still not right. So he said "How about I give you back all of the labor and half of the cost of the door?" We looked at each other and said that seemed like a fair and reasonable offer. Now today he calls and says that he has finally gotten the refund sent through for us and we will be seeing $1,122.13. I said wait what about the money for the labor? His reply was that he never said anything about the labor being refunded. He couldn't refund the labor because the door had already been installed. (Now , not only had he said he would refund the labor amount but he quoted the amount. He said it was $669.00.) I said it was not even installed correctly, he didn't want to hear that again. I just hung up on him because I was so upset and tired of arguing with him. We will never shop at Lowe's again! Not only do we not have the door we wanted but we have to have it reinstalled correctly. Horrible experience with fence installation. been dealing with this since March 2022. Warranty voided even though fence was not completed as guaranteed. Austin is NOT AT ALL a good manager, not sure how he was even given the job. Made me sign a legal document to not pursue any further action and wouldn't even provide a copy. Highly suggest going to Home Depot, much better staff and management. Lowes fence contractor owner Nader is not at all of any help either. read more

We needed help in the Paint Department here at Lowes, however, after trying to work with one employee we found the Dept. Supervisor Janet and she went above and beyond to keep us as Lowes Customers. She helped us with several issues with paint, paint color matching and truly understanding the needs we personally had. We almost left Lowes and went to a competitor to get the help we needed...so glad we reached back out and spoke with a Manager! Janet in the Lowes Paint Department should be rewarded for keeping a long long long (we're old!) customers. And all I get from them is they will keep looking for someone to fix it, 1 to 2 business days and after wait one or two days they tell me the same thing so I wouldn't recommend buying anything from these people read more

The short story is a problem with their online and in store computer systems. It was a nightmare to get the installation of a dishwasher and microwave request right. Then 7 to 14 days to wait AFTER the 2nd request was initiated. The personnel is not to blame. They did the best they could with the tools available. read more

I shop a of of Lowe's all over the South and the associates here in San Angelo are the best. I am a regular user of the buy online - pickup in store service. I plan repair or remodeling projects a day in advance and create a materials list to pickup the next day. My material order is placed in the evening and picked that night or early the next morning, ready for pickup. The San Angelo associates take my orders seriously and have them ready when I receive my confirmation email. That can't be said of other Lowe's stores I have shopped, where it takes days to pull the order or never pulled at all. My order was right up front near the door so I was in and out in five minutes. The special pickup parking spaces make this process even smoother. I have a number of projects going on now to the end of the year so I plan on using the in-store pickup for many of them. With the friendly pickup associates on top of these orders they will certainly go smooth. Great job ladies!! read more

The customer service is appalling in person as well as over the phone. Ordered a grill from this location and once I had finally received I was excited because this is my first grill. But on further inspection I was not only missing parts but the grill was assembled incorrectly, by the way Lowe's is not the ones that assemble it but a third party. And it took a week to get a replacement one. The second one everything seemed fine except one of the wheels felt off but just thought maybe the wheel was locked and checked but nothing seemed wrong. After barley moving it the wheel falls off because it only had one screw screwed in! And yet again have to call customer service and they do not give a damn about actually helping you. If you want to buy any appliances, my advice, go somewhere because Lowe's is your one stop shop to disappointment! read more

I went for garden soil and woman they had working in garden area was incompetent. She did not know anything about the garden area nor running the register. People were standing in line and she was lost. She did not know how to add any item unless she could scan it and even with item she was having difficulty. Instead of her boss that was standing there watching her replace this woman with another employee she let it continue. This lady was not in training or new. Worst Lowes store ever. They did not have the Whirlpool refrigerator we wanted on the floor, so after finally locating an employee, we ordered and paid for the refrigerator to be delivered in 10 days. That was as soon as they could get it in and deliver it. Meanwhile, we borrowed a used refrigerator, and used Igloo coolers to get by. When we called on the tenth day, to see make sure it was in, we were told they could not get that model and they would have to credit our money back. No reason why they couldn't get it, even though Whirlpool is still advertising that model on line. The asst manager even said we could probably buy it on line. No phone calls to let us know. Just hold our money until we call them. So now we start the 10 day process over. Have bought numerous products from Lowes stores at other places, but I will never buy so much as a 2x4 board from this store again read more

Worst customer service EVER, all the way around! Bought a refrigerator in the store for delivery from the warehouse. Finding an associate to help was frustrating but then they didn't know anything about them so had to find another one who was helpful. They entered my order, rang me up and placed the fridge on my lowes card....got to the car to realize they had just charged me for my old refrigerator again?! WTH?! Back in, an hour later with issues due to no credit left on my lowes card because of the wrong fridge I finally was able to place the order using an alternate payment... fast forward to delivery (late) the fridge was dented, doors, hinges etc. told to keep it until they could get another. No one called or emailed about the broken fridge. (Literally) almost 100 call attempts later between getting hung up on, busy calls etc I finally called it and just told the operator to schedule a pick up for a broken fridge! For some reason that was easy enough but getting a customer service rep to discuss WHY the fridge needs picked up (REPLACED) is still impossible to this day. AVOID THIS PLACE! read more

Not one employee is smiling or friendly and the three employees in the "Returns" section as well as the woman managing the line out front are condescending and should re-evaluate the career they chose. I paid over $2,000 for new carpet around 5-8-2021. So AFTER I moved all my belongings out of my house Wednesday 6-16-2021,Lowes calls at 4:42pm and says carpet installer can't come at 9am the next morning, and is going out of town Friday, but FOR SURE he will be here Saturday morning between 9-10am. Today...9:30am-waiting. Left voicemail. Rec'd call from Lexy-"he's on his way." 10:00 "he's got a flat tire but will be there shortly and do a real good job." 10:15am I called store manager to update them on delays-they disconnected my call. 10:50am no one here. 11:31am-no one here. I left voicemail to cancel as they have already WASTED too much of my time and my patience is DONE. 11:56 Rexy called and said "they got the tire fixed and are at Lowes now." Well, those who know me already know what I said back. DONE with Lowes. 3rd time-DONE. I do NOT recommend. 1st time-they brought the wrong garage door. Clean store. The cashiers are friendly for garden center as well as front end. Unfortunately the advertisement shown on tv is misleading. The personnel working the floor (department) and customer service are incompanet. I asked for help and the employees behave in an unprofessional manner. Even offended that I asked for assistance. I got the sense that I was bothering him with my questions. It was obvious that they did not know the answer. Typically when someone does not know the answer to a question they respond the a smart and offensive remark. Disguising the fact that they do not know the answer. This behavior is counterproductive and impedes me from completing my project. This has been ongoing for years now. I hate to state the common denominator. But here it is. The ones that give me the most flack are old employees. Just stating what all of my bad experiences have in common. Take for it what you will. My wife went to Lowe's in San Angelo today and she ended up having to load the sacks of rocks and the flat rocks that she purchased by herself! The last two or three times we have been there we have seen elderly people having to load their own merchandise from the garden center which a lot of times are bags that are 40 to 50 pounds! Lowes used to be a very fine place to shop we have spent much money there, but that should not matter in the least! They should serve every customer like they're the most important person in there! I understand this coronavirus thing has everybody upset but if you're going to open your doors then you need to act as if your customers come first. There's a lot of employees standing around a lot of talking and a lot of very confused looking.
