I placed an order for a refrigerator on December 17th 2025 . It is 01/06 with nothing in my house yet .

We needed assistance selecting backsplash tiles, kitchen countertops and new appliances. Also wanted to ask about cabinet paint to save a few dollars and reuse materials that would otherwise go in landfill. We ended up speaking to three different employees. All were very helpful and showed us which materials were easy to work with, and which ones were better to spend a little more for quality. We had started at Lowes in Martinsburg, where the employee told us our selected materials were too cheap looking and he wouldn't put them in his own house where he just put in a $30,000 kitchen. The employees here were the polar opposite in attitude. They were friendly and helpful with anecdotes from their own home improvement experiences, and gave good suggestions. We are spending $10,000 over several purchases here to upgrade this kitchen. Home Depot made us feel welcome. They will now receive all of my business without price shopping their competitor. It's worth more money to be treated with respect. Love this store! read more

I go in looking for several things and only come out with one. They need to add a small basket to their carts for mini things. I had an S hook in there but when we got to checking out, it was no longer in my cart. Suppose it fell out somewhere. No time to go look, spouse had other things and places he wanted to go to. As a new homeowner and trying to get washer/dryer- Better to go to Lowes. They made the process extremely difficult by coming out 3 times to "install" our stackable washer/dryer. It took us around 3 hours to get someone to help us purchase the appliances. First time someone came out, was denied due to not having a stacking kit (which we were "assured" that all the supplies we needed were ordered).; Waited a week for the stacking kit to be delivered and was not dir told the washer and dryer was supposed to be installed so they had left.; Third was this morning.. We were not given the "4 hour window call" of when they would be coming and was called while we were trying to get set up at the DMV. The man said he was here and we informed them there was zero communication of him coming that early (call, text, and email included). We asked the man kindly to wait as we ran out of line to get home and even called a friend to go let him in and not even two minutes later we are told that he has left. Zero grace period. We have been back and forth all day with Home Depot saying the earliest they could accommodate us would be next week, however we work pretty far and are out early + home late. He stretched it to Saturday and I informed the manager that would unfortunately not work due to already being in the process for about three weeks and I am just getting out of the hospital, so I am not allowed much stress. We have put over $1,000 into this and was only compensated $50, plus having someone outside come out today to install for $350 instead of trying their best to help us out in any way. They have also left our washer/dryer in the garage and now has to be carried up two floors. Very disappointed with this entire process. read more

Horrible customer service. I came in for a dryer belt and everyone was sitting in front of their computers without customers. I asked one of them and was informed that they don't carry parts. Then I went to look for a nail gun and three guys just passed me as if I wasn't there. I finally flagged down a guy who just finished helping a guy and he seemed upset that stopped him. He told me to go to aisle 15 and look myself! Wow! I will be taking my business somewhere else. read more

I had started my day by chatting with the Home Depot customer service through the App and was left incredibly dissatisfied. Purchased a live edge teak countertop online. The countertop is gorgeous, but I needed to cut it down some. Tried circular saw and it smoked and smelled like burning this beautiful wood. Called Home Depot Ranson WV, Lumber Dept. Told the rep what was going on and asked if they could cut it for me. He said no. I asked why. He said he doesn't have the saw for it. Asked him if he could explain what kind of saw so I could understand. He said it's a ripping saw and won't cut dense wood like countertop. I was in the middle of asking him if he might know where I could get this Home Depot countertop cut, but he hung up on me!! I went to Lowes to the Pro Desk. Chris listened to what I was saying, took a look at the pic of wood and saw I was using and in 2 seconds told me to turn the blade around and it should cut fine. I did just that and now I have the perfect size cut. Home Depot needs customer service training, at least in the lumber area. Maybe, they could contract Lowes to train them. Just saying... read more

Worst experience with laminate tile installation. After waiting weeks the so called installers showed up and looked at the tile and said it's no good. They started breaking it with there hands. They said they couldn't install it it's too cold. They said i would get a call from Home Depot. I never got a call so I went myself and took the material to show someone named Ali. She opened each box took the bad ones and said they would have to order them. Then I get a call 4 hours later and she had them in stock at the store! Never Ever Again will I use your installation service! Simply horrible! I guess I'll be waiting another damn month! read more

If I could leave a review with NO stars I would. The store manager does not understand customer service, this is my first review however I have had many bad shopping experiences in this store. Lates was with a dryer that stopped working just 2 days of use. It took 10 days to deliver the machine and would take another 2 weeks to get a new one. Management would not return calls nor would they address any other options. Do NOT shop here. read more

Every trip here is a new mis-adventure - a sure way to ruin my day. Today: The online order I placed 4 days prior took 30 minutes to find. 48 2x6x10'. I rejected 11 of them - way too checked, cracked or split. Poor service, poor quality. Order picker doesn't care, and store isn't organized enough to even be able to find it in a timely manner. Before I claimed that order, I tried to find 2 acceptable 2x8x16'. They were above 6' on the rack, and after sorting through what I could reach, I was climbing into the rack. The 5 male associates standing 30 feet away didn't notice or care until I asked (loudly) for a little help. Probably sorted through 30 boards to find two that were suitable for my ridge boards. Complained to the manager twice on this visit. Talk about passive and meek. I complain in hopes that something will be noticed and change. But I sure don't come away with any reassurance on those points. This is one of my many mis-adventures to this store. Cannot remember a "good" experience in the last couple of years. I am so very tired of lousy customer service, no care in order picking (done this before too) and crappy lumber. read more

Terrible product and terrible customer service. We ordered a 4 piece tub ensemble (1 tub and 3 wall pieces). After waiting a long time for it to be delivered to the store, I received an email saying that the order was ready for pickup. When our contractor went to pick it up they could only find the tub but not the other box that had the wall surrounds. They told him that part of it must not have been delivered yet (even though the email I received said the order was ready for pickup. Out contractor picked up the tub and brought it back to our house and installed it. Later that day, we called Home Depot to check up on the rest of the order, and they said they had found it. Our contractor went to pick it up a day later. At that time he notice the box was damaged, so he opened the box and found two of the panels were severely cracked and could not be used. He told the customer service personnel at the store, but they told him they could not return the item without the tub. When he contacted us, we contacted the store and they insisted that they could not take the panels back without the tub. We explained that the tub had been installed. They told us we would have to contact Home Depot online to see what they would agree to do. Funny, I thought this was all Home Deport - whether you order online or buy in-store. Apparently not. When we contacted Home Depot online they told us we would have to talk to the vendor of the product to see if they would provide replacement for the damaged panels separately, rather than having to have to remove the tub and get a replacement for the entire unit. The only reason the tub had been installed was because of Home Depot's incompetence in finding what they had received in store, and then they refused to help us. This is not the first time Home Depot Customer Service has been below par, but it is certainly the most abysmal experience we have had with them. We will never shop with Home Depot again - either in-store or online. The WORST! read more

I placed an online order for store pick up. I have been there 3 times to get orders and each time they can't meet their prescribed timeline to bring my order out. On top of that minor issue I ask how to add an item to my order because the website and app says not available for online order. Associate tells me simply call into the store. I can the store 4 times on a day my order has another pick up and I am hung up on 4 different times. I am now just ready to be done with Home Depot and go back to Lowe's. read more

Since we moved to the area about 2 1/2 years ago, it was a plus (we thought) that there was a Home Depot in the area. From messed up appliance deliveries and lack of help from personnel each time we went in, today I reached my limit. There is normally a lack of help to ask questions, but today when I went in there were multiple blocked aisles. Fork lifts, sometimes 2 across and in one location three aisles and an aisle into the next department blocked with "temporarily closed" gates. The responses from any employee I could find after retracing my path to get out were consistently "those are there for your protection".... Despite the fact that no one was around those locations doing anything. This store location needs a serious change of management! I will drive to Lowes in Martinsburg or Leesburg before attempting to buy anything from here again!@ read more

Placed a order on line for in store pick up. After 24 hours I called the store to see where my order status was, they said they would call me back in 3 hours and try to get someone to pick the order for me, they were too busy to keep up. they called me right at the mark of when they said they would call me and told me I should just come in and pick the order myself.......kind of defeats the purpose of ordering online with in store pick up. Had I know yesterday I would be picking my own order i would have done it while the things I ordered were in stock. Time to go somewhere else. read more

Ordered a cabinet from Home Depot. The cabinet has a defective leveling foot. I ordered one from Whirlpool but it never shipped. When I called the Home Depot store they told me to come to the store and swap it out. I drove 30 minutes only to learn they didn't carry the cabinets in store. The employee could careless about customer service nor did anyone else at the store. There are other options than Home Depot, I would suggest you shop somewhere. read more

I will never deal with Home Depot unless the item is on the sales floor. I ordered a refrigerator from homedepot.com to be delivered to the Ranson store for my pick up. It was never arrived. I called several times to the Ranson store for help. Only once did I get a call back and that was from a manager! After several days it was listed as lost and reordered. I couldn't wait any longer and got one from Lowes. It took 3 more calls to the Ranson store to get the reordered cancelled. I finally have my money back. Lesson learned. read more

My husband recently ordered some new cabinets from Homedepot.com which were inadvertently delivered to the wrong address and we, in return, received the patio set that should have been delivered there. We called the HD customer service and they asked if we would be willing to bring the patio set to the Ranson store and they'd see if the other customer would bring the cabinets so we could switch. We said no - we had paid for delivery and wanted them delivered. The online customer service were hemming and hawing about what to do when Jeff from the Ranson store took it upon himself to pick up and exchange the two items in his own truck. This was some A-One customer service and we really appreciated his effort. Too bad Home Depot doesn't have a way for us to leave a review with them so they know what a gem they have in Jeff. read more

Please don't give them any of your money We ordered flooring, paid for labor to remove all existing flooring to subfloor and install lux vinyl plank: $8000 Someone came out to measure how much flooring was needed before we paid, delivery and installation scheduled 2 months later... The installers get to the house we have all the material they first tell us, they don't remove sheet vinyl...that's not what we wanted when we told the salesperson what we were paying for. The head of the contracting company says they can do it for $900. So we agree to pay the extra, the installers tell us flat out the don't do it. Thankfully we hadn't paid yet. They say they can install it over the sheet vinyl and put in threshold strips...a half ass job but fine get it done. Then they start ripping up the carpet and put a level ON A NAIL and say there's a huge gap/misleveling of the subfloor. My father who knows contracting moves it off the nail and tells them to now measure. It was still too much of a gap for this flooring to be done. They also say they can't fix it by using leveling compound. "We don't do that." Honesty, what DO you do then??? So now we have 3 tons of material taking up space that we can't use. Go to home depot to get a refund, takes them a week of "verifying" with the contractor that no work was done. They offered to fix it but with the initial poor vetting of their contractors why would we trust them again? I made it clear I wanted a full refund. WE return the materials because the company that delivered it won't take the boxes if not on a pallet. Which is bull. We didn't use a pallet to return it. They process the refund minus $180. Excuse me? We can't refund the delivery fee since it was delivered to you instead of picked up. It was performed. FOR A PRODUCT WE "SUPPOSEDLY" COULDNT USE???? I made it clear we wanted a FULL refund. "We didn't say anything about the delivery fee we just said parts and labor." Well the fact that you didn't convey that to us is underhanded and poor customer service. Screw them and their shady practices. We will take all of our home improvement needs elsewhere. read more

Just got a washer and dryer here. Found one in the sales paper I wanted and went to the store. The sales lady was awesome. She told us that she had the last model in the back and had marked it down 20% if I wanted it! Great deal! I bought it! Have been several times since the washer and dryer. I can't believe the horrible service at this store. I called 4 times to talk to a store manager about a refund on an appliance purchase (bought a dishwasher that was scratched and did not accept it on delivery) and wanted to inform Home Depot of this action. The last person I talked to said the manager had gone home; store was 30 minutes from closing so I didn't believe that, Jim, when 10 minutes ago she was there. I did a search for HD corporate. I worked with them and they were wonderful. Next time I will just go to Lowes. I filed a complaint. read more

This is our local hardware/ garden store. Getting materials from the garden department is a nightmare. First delivery was fine. Second was half of what was ordered, and driver refused to put it where the first delivery had been placed. Called, was told the rest would be delivered the next evening. No show. many phone calls, two more promised delivery dates, no show. Current deliver date is 1 month after the original incomplete delivery. What a mess. Don't trust any promises from these people. read more

Horrible and awful experience with Ranson Home Depot (window installations department). I received a quote for new windows/doors back in July 2018 and I paid my $6K down payment. The sales consultant PROMISED me completion within 6-8 weeks from that day (because I wanted to get the work done before winter). He said it'll be done by mid-September at the latest. "8 weeks tops"! Short story, after 15 emails/phone calls to Sales Consultant (who would not return my messages), Sales Manager (avoided me also) and Project Manager...and 3+ months later in November, they finally cancelled my order "because of manufacturer delay" and refunded me my deposit. What's irritating is I turned down two other offers to get my windows/door replaced and picked Home Depot because I fell for the sales consultant's sales pitch. We had/still are enduring winter with leaky window...and paying more for heating bill. The project was going to cost almost $25K and HD disregarded any of my concerns. Home Depot offered NO apologies, NO compensations and NOT even any store coupons. I'm not looking for any free stuff but it seems like they don't care about their (former) customers. read more

First time at this location. Goal for the trip: a chest freezer. We waited around at first for someone to help us and that took a few minutes and a few other employees who asked us if we needed up. Once we got the right person, Lovelyn - the appliance guru, best fridge shopping experience yet. She helped us get a great price, wrapped it up, loaded it onto a cart and wheeled it to the door. This seems to be a trend: customers who think it is cute to bring fido. Doesn't matter whether your dog is on a leash. One quick movement from a child and any dog can bite. These types who bring their pets use them as emotional support animals. Walmart only allows service dogs while other establishments like Home Depot permit emotional support animals. I go to Home Depot at least twice a month! My family is always getting into DIY projects. I have never had a bad experience shopping here. When I was re-doing my laminate flooring in my bedroom, I made a few trips to Home Depot for materials. The flooring staff were very helpful and informational. I have gone there a few times since then. I have been helped by Tyler, who works in the service area by the roofing materials. He remembered me and has been super helpful answering all of our questions! I recommend anyone that needs help to ask for him! read more

I will give this a five star because of the customer service. Multiple staff members asked me if I needed to find anything and I did. I do not usually shop in Home Depot, and by them asking me for help improved the experience and helped me find what I needed. I particularly like the woman in outdoor/flower department. Service at this HD paint department is awful. I waited over twenty minutes to get service. There is no way of knowing when your turn for service is. The sales clerk constantly goes to other clusters that walk up. I'm still waiting for my paint after waiting the 20 minutes to speak with a sales man. Service is AWFUL, read more
