    Plant mom
    Ti R.

It's funny that I come here at least once a week to get random things for the house. I'm a plant mom. So I love the customer service in the gardening department. There is always someone to help. Recently I've had a problem with birds on my balcony. And I was recommended bird spikes to keep them off of my balcony. And it worked. This location is on FM 518 across from Randall's. The area doesn't have any other major hardware stores. So this is my go to.

High humidity climate, top shelf seems like a great place to keep dehumidifiers.

While I love having a home improvement store nearby... I am not in love with this store. I'm shocked that I haven't reviewed this place yet but felt compelled after my most recent visit yesterday. I came in with my 3 kids in tow... never fun to go in with 3 kids but we needed a dehumidifier. Being as we live in a high humidity climate, I didn't think that this was an odd item. The gentleman at the door greeted us and asked what we needed. I said a dehumidifier and he looked baffled and initially said that they most likely don't have any of those. I said that online it stated there were 2 in stock and he said that the online info isn't always right but said if they did have them, they'd be in appliances in the back. We head to the back and wander around not seeing any nor any workers to help us. We then search around on our own and finally find another worker and ask him. He tells us that if they did have them, they'd be in the front of the store near the portable AC units. So we head up to the front of the store and look around the portable AC unit display only to NOT find the dehumidifiers yet again. Ugh. I was quite frustrated at this point. I make one last attempt and ask a WOMAN worker and she tells me aisle 31... AND THEN WALKS OVER THERE WITH US. Sure enough, the dehumidifiers are in aisle 31... except they're on the TOP SHELF. Again, I find this extremely odd that in a high humidity climate, you'd stick DEHUMIDIFIERS on the top shelf. So she calls for assistance over the loud speaker. And then we wait. And wait and wait and wait some more. No one was coming to help so I hunted down another worker and he re calls someone to help. The guy that comes is probably 6'4" but I tell him that he'll need a ladder. He replies that he was told we needed a faucet. Nope... no. Faucets, I could reach. Dehumidifiers on the top shelf, I can not. So he says he needs to go find "a machine." What? There was a ladder down the adjacent aisle. Regardless, he gets the machine and finally gets the dehumidifier down for us. Ultimately, lesson learned... go to a WOMAN worker first. They'll know where shit is. Second lesson learned... I really wish Lowes was closer. Ugh.

The reviews on here are correct. I thought... I'll plan out what I want I looked up the aisles online and go directly to get what I need. I did that. First stop: two workers talking in the aisle and walk right by me trying to pick up a box bigger than myself. Nothing. They were working hard to not pay attention to me and succeeded. I go to self check out. I have a store credit which I would have avoided even coming in if they let you use store credit online (you cannot). The store credit is linked to my dads ID. He cannot come to the store. I cannot use the card. There is nothing they can do, the end. I do not like Home Depot. They make it as difficult as possible to use store credit. 2 stars instead of 1because when everyone and their grandma fondled my phone and couldn't get my $5 coupon to work they gave me $5 off my $100 purchase anyway.

The correct order. Avoid curbside if you can. It's pointless.

As a DIY carpenter I really love stores like Home Depot. Unfortunately, this is my least favorite location. It seem so unorganized and the curbside service is super slow. I checked in TWICE & no one came. I waited 15-20 mins before calling the store. After calling, someone finally came out with the wrong order. This is the 3rd time! The first time I had to go in the store and it still took them awhile to get my order. I've never had this issue with other locations.

I was waiting for at least 15 min. This guy was on his phone the entire time didn't even ask me if I needed help or anything.

Home Depot is one of my favorite places to shop! lol I know it's a little sad but it's reality. I enjoy gardening and I can always find what I need for taking care of my plants and oftentimes finding myself buying new plants when that was not the reason I was there to begin with.

    Home Depot lies!

Home Depot's mantra of "From our store to your door, arriving when convenient for you" is false & should not be used in their advertising. We will make sure to tell all of our family, friends & neighbors that Home Depot fails their customers. If anyone wants a better purchase experience then they seriously need to consider Home Depot's competitors. Go to Lowe's instead. Complaint In Detail The order is for an over the range microwave purchased in store at the Home Depot (Silverlake) store# 6567. Microwave was purchased 11/6/20. Our delivery was scheduled for Thursday, 11/12/20. I received an e-mail on 11/11/20 stating our delivery time would be 10:00am-2:00pm on 11/11/20. At 12:30pm on 11/12, a guy named Thomas called & said the following. He said that he could deliver the microwave but he was not going to install it. He said that the guy who installs the microwaves had not come in today & that he could only drop it off. I immediately said no. He then said he would reschedule us & call back in 30 minutes. He called us from cell# 346-816-8932. We tried texting several times but he never returned our calls or texts. At 2:42pm I called 1-800-455-3869 which is Home Depot's number for assistance with deliveries. I gave all our information to the rep that answered the phone. Told her the situation & she put me on hold to call the delivery people. Twenty two minutes later, she came back & said that she called them & that they had not spoken to the customer. I corrected her because she was rather confused & inept. When I corrected her, she then said that "Thomas" the delivery guy would call us to set up a time to deliver today. I simply didn't understand why all of a sudden they were going to deliver & install after being told that the microwave guy was not available. I did not believe her. So I called again at 3:10pm to Home Depot customer care 1-800-466-3337. I spoke to Jason who got our information. I asked Jason to look at the notes he had concerning our delivery. Specifically my previous call. The Home Depot lady at 1-800-455-3869 that I spoke to lied to me. Jason said there were no notes from my previous call. What kind of employees does Home Depot hire? Jason said he would transfer me to Connie in the resolution department. Connie then called the delivery people. She said they could not deliver till 11/14/20. We had no other choice but to take that date. I asked Connie who I could complain to but she said there was no e-mail or person for my complaint. She did however say that she would note it & to talk to the store manager. She stated that he was responsible for deliveries. I called Home Depot at Silverlake & asked for the store manager. A young lady answered who said she didn't know who the manager was. I asked her to find out & she put me on hold. Or she thought she put me on hold. I could hear her ask a man. Turns out that man was Darren Hayes, a store manager. Mr. Hayes told the young lady to tell me that the store managers are Chelsea & Esk Storm. The young lady then told me that a store manager was not available. I just checked my delivery tracker & Home Depot had the nerve to post at 7:41pm "Attempted, sorry we missed you". I'm the one who is truly sorry. Home Depot employees have done the following today: 1. Thomas with Home Depot delivery called to tell us he could deliver but not install a microwave. Microwave guy that installed microwaves didn't come in today. He never called us back to reschedule. 2. Home Depot rep at 1-800-455-3869, blatantly lied to me about contacting delivery for scheduling delivery. She didn't bother putting it in the purchase notes. 3. Connie with the Home Depot resolutions department stated that there was no recourse for customer complaints. However, I could call the store manager. 4. Home Depot Silverlake #6567 has no store manager available to talk to customers when they call to make a complaint. Derren Hayes was available but told the young lady that answered the phone to tell me that Chelsea or Esk Storm are store managers but they were not available. My husband had to take a day of work for a delivery that never happened. Now we have to change our travel plans, so that Home Depot can deliver on Saturday 11/14/20. We are truly disappointed in Home Depot & in it's inept employees.

Our neighbors got a 1/2 pallet of sod from Houston Grass and gave us some of the extra pieces they didn't need. We filled in the worst of the dead spots and it looked AMAZING. We went to Houston Grass ourselves and bought some more pieces to complete the front yard and it looks SO GOOD! Totally transformed the front yard! As of 9/7/22, at Houston Grass we paid $2.05 per piece. Home Depot is charging $3.49 per piece. We threw a tarp down in our vehicle and self loaded the sod. It wasn't bad and actually wasn't terribly messy. The guy working was super helpful and friendly. As we were driving home I said, "That guy was really nice." My husband responded, "I was thinking the same thing!" We were told that 9 out of 10 customers underestimate the amount they needed. We bought 35 pieces and it was perfect... only, we love it so much, we are nit picking the rest of the yard and might go back to get some more pieces to just perfect our yard, front and back!
