However, that is a corporate decision and has nothing to do with this particular store. It seems like whenever they made the transition from having cashiers to automated self check out, the customer service here has gone downhill. I tried stopping in tonight on a quick run as I ran out of a particular tube of paint, and I nearly walked right into a door because they had both of the inner doors of the vestibule locked. I could walk in from the street, but the nearly face planted in a door that was supposed to open automatically. An employee came over and unlocked one of the doors, earbuds in her ears, apologizing while explaining she was on a phone call or something. She was immediately all too eager to let me know the store closes in than 20 minutes. Yeah, I could tell. It's a huge pet peeve of mine when stores try to shut down shop during their opening hours. Your store hours you close at 9:00p, not 8:37. There's a Michaels on the other side of town I've only been to a couple of times but even with the automated self check out there, people there I think are much friendlier it might be worth the drive next time.

He gave me another 2, free of charge on account of an employee error. I did not catch the man's name but he's a wonderful employee and i cannot stress how much i appreciated this small kindness, it really made my day.

They were efficient, nice, and polite and we were overjoyed to see another individual working there using a SD (Service Dog). As a SD user, to see a place of employment supporting their employee and for that pup to be in a safe working environment makes me overjoyed. SD users are often discriminated against in employment opportunities and not only is this an instance of helping to normalize SD for the public, but keeping the handler in the workforce. Also, my ring got cleaned!

I enjoy this stores selection of jewelry, and customer service…read more My biggest issue is what I guess I would call appearance discrimination? If I come here for a repair or just to shop and I'm in anything short of business clothing, or anything formal, I've gotten snide looks from employees. They act surprised when I actually want to spend money here. They only seem to help when they realize I'm willing to spend money.

Being a cartoonist, I went there for many many things. Majorly for finished art to be printed. In the beginning, they had a wonderful rep named Bernard who KNEW his stuff. He cared about his job and the people he served. About 2 years ago, I started to see Bernard less and less and the implementation of DIY printers that you are told to use. These are cumbersome to say the least, seldom loaded with the type of paper I need and the new staff just doesn't want to help you. Especially their "pissy" manager. I needed something on a Saturday for a gift to be printed. The full service print shop I now go to was closed, so I went to Office Max to get it done. It was just as bad as I remembered the experience to be but even worse. Literally, there were 4 customers in the store, including my wife and I. 2 employees were at the print registers. One was finishing a customer and the other was at the register. I stood and waited for him to address me. After a minute he asked "can I help you". I said YES! I am so glad to see you up here, I hate those machines, I need a thicker paper and could you print this ONE picture for me. He said "No. I am swamped, I can print it tomorrow. And you can pick it up." I said it's one picture? He said you will have to use the machines over there. He was the manager. The other employee heard I was looking for a longer sheet and ran to see it was loaded. Which I thanked him for. These DIY machines make you pay at least $5 with a credit card to Office Depot and then you can print. There is a myriad of options. I have often walked away without what I came for. I don't like them. I don't work there. All the manager had to do is: put in my usb. select pdf. press print. Less than 60 seconds. Instead I was told to come back. To drive back home, then come back the next day and go back home. Gas is atrocious. But truly, it's a very common attitude in this day and age. And also why there were 3 customers in the store on a beautiful Saturday. And Christmas. And back to school. It's the people running the place that make the difference. Bring back Bernard!!! Pay him what he wants. I wanted to complain to the manager.... but you know the story. What a shame.

There was no sneeze guard on any of the registers which puts you within two feet of an unmasked person. there was nothing to wipe carts with and no one was wiping them between employees. Apparently this is a popular place to go is you are not masked because customers were unmasked and several of them coughing . the store had many people in it and not many of them were social distancing and there was absolutely no advisement on the door or a sign that said to keep distance. Whole family with kids were in the store as well which is not necessary . I called the HQ and they told me they should be wearing masks or working register with a guard. but of course this is not true. Sad and disappointed that this store does not care about the heath of their customers to take full precautions.. They could not even take the smallest precaution of wearing masks. Oh and if you want to clean your hands in the store go to the chickens. apparently whatever disease you get from chickens is way more deadly since that is where thy chose to put hand sanitizer
