My husband and I had two other rings resized here and both were routine - however, the more intricate and pricey repairs to my other rings did not go smoothly.. and i definitely say it was over priced.. However, the sales people are very nice and they have beautiful jewelry- they even have a good array of Pandora. They've since then done a few appraisals for me on other pieces and those experiences were okay. Overall, a nice store with lovely staff but I should've taken the larger repair elsewhere.. as it was, I had to get the rings resized at a separate jeweler..

The customer service was excellent, they even offered gift wrap. Other than Alex and Ani, they also had a huge line of Pandora (which my wife loves), including some "last chance clearance" items, plus a nice array of Tacori. I usually use Kay Jewelers for most jewelry purchases, but this Medawar impressed me. They also do on site jewelry and watch repair. I might bring my vintage Longines watch here for repairs. I would like to get that watch repaired locally, as opposed to taking it to a store that I don't shop in regularly. I'm glad to see Medawar can do it here.

However, the way that the others treat customers? That's a different story. I'm not sure that this is the business for you. When you disrespect the people that come into your store and bring you business? 100 percent unacceptable. My husband and I have been doing business with this place for over 8 years together. Myself personally, more like 15. Case in point, my husband bought a watch, that wasnt cheap mind you. When we received it the product looked as though it had been worn. It was beyond scratched up. They were good about the initial exchange. But my husband works out of town, so finally I went up to make the exchange as well as have other services done to my own watch and wedding rings. Although the exchange was made, apparently there was an issue. The claim was made in my direction that my husband had been wearing the watch. I politely told the extremely arrogant gentleman that no he had not and in fact the watch doesn't even fit him bc it was never sized. After some polite on my part, not so much theirs, exchange of words, I left extremely upset and unsatisfied. Unfortunately my husband will be going back there and informing them that we will never purchase from them again. This location is small but is newly renovated and in a much better area - in the Oak Brook Square shopping center near TJ Maxx, Sally's, Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, Buffalo Wild Wings, Plato's Closet and Five Below, etc. They have the same product line and as much variety as before, and terrific customer service, per usual- (actually, I think the service has slightly improved, so it's even better than ever). They had some great deals and sales for their grand opening. We picked up some Christmas gifts to put away for family and a few items for ourselves. Great location, product line, prices, and pretty great customer service.. definitely going to stop in again.. and again.. and again.

Get it home (wasn't in the truck when I bought it) and try to put it in - doesn't fit. NP, I'll take it back, mount brackets, receipt, & keys inside the box - close the box only to find out I had relocked the latches. Oopsy. Talked to the manager - no problem - he looked up my receipt since I have a rewards card w/ them. Gave me credit for the box and the two bracket kits. (I would have paid for a spare key since it was my fault after all but certainly glad I didn't have to.) He loaned me a tape to measure the box - 62" wide. We checked other toolboxes and they were all 62" or less so I got a slightly different one. Then we measured the one I brought back - 62-3/8" wide - no wonder it didn't fit. I'm a happy customer.
