It's Tuesday and I'm back already. YAHIR offered great customer service ya hear me?! I got a Venus flytrap and another tomato cage. This location has a plethora of pots for gardening. All sizes. It's also the only location I've been able to find large cages for my tomatoes. Their Gardening Center seemed immaculate. I didn't find dust anywhere that I visited. I even picked up two little cute yellow cactuses. Never thought I'd own a cactus, but I bought two! The store is large, so I'm sure you'll find what you need. And the staff is great. I can't remember his name but on Monday night he was the only one working the gardening section. I want to say his name is Neal or something close to that. He was very helpful!! read more

Make use of their curbside pickup if you can. Like most homeowners, we have been to Home Depot many, many times, sometimes to pick up a specific item, but other times to just browse for inspiration. As I've gotten older, it has become less interesting to me (mainly as I've found that I'm just not as good as contractors who can do it faster and with a far greater professional finish). But as we start on a reno for our bathrooms, we've made great use of their website and mobile app to browse, choose, and pay for bathroom fixtures. For the things that are located further away and could be transported without a truck, we have been picking them via our car. One of those things is a medicine cabinet with lighted mirror, which my wife ordered through the mobile app. It showed that the closest one for quickest pickup was in Orange, which is why we drove down here on a Friday afternoon. Just like a Chili's, there are numerically marked parking spots near the handicapped spots in the parking lot. My wife had let this Depot know that we were coming, and once we arrived, we typed in the parking spot number that were at. Sure enough, in under 5 minutes, Nathan showed up with the packaged mirror and helped me put it in our hatchback. My wife showed him her ID, and that was it. We were on our way. Urgent: Unprofessional Treatment by Supervisor Marisol - Orange, CA (Katella Street Location) Dear Home Depot Customer Service, I am writing to report an extremely unprofessional and frustrating experience I had at your Orange, California location on Katella Street, involving Supervisor Marisol. I came to the store to return a vacuum cleaner I purchased using Apple Pay. I had my receipt, but when we tried to process the return back to Apple Pay, the system repeatedly displayed "canceled," which was odd. I then told Marisol that since the purchase was made with a debit card, she should simply give me cash back. Instead, she told me, "We can't do that." I asked her what I was supposed to do then, since I no longer needed the vacuum--I had already purchased a larger shop vac to replace it. Marisol flat-out said there was "nothing she could do," which is incorrect. If an item is purchased with a debit card, the refund should be issued as cash. What would happen if I lost my debit card and had to cancel it? In that situation, the only option would be cash, but she still refused. Her dismissive and unprofessional attitude was unacceptable. As a licensed general contractor who spends thousands of dollars at Home Depot, I expect to be treated with basic respect and to receive accurate information regarding your return policy. Instead, I was made to feel as if my business didn't matter. Because of this experience, I will never shop at this location again unless this situation is addressed. Was looking to purchase flowers for my garden and the person insisted that I needed to pay for the flowers right then even though I told him there was still stuff I needed to purchase inside. I do not understand the rudeness to a customer. I'm 55 years old, I don't need to steal $8 flowers when I was going to buy 8 of them. I'm a fan of this Home Depot location. I always find everything I need, and the staff is usually pretty friendly as well. I recently ordered some items online, and found out I could pick them up curbside at this location. Since both items were too large for me to pick up, I'm so glad I could have them brought to my car. When both items were ready, they emailed me a message. I guess great minds think alike because this store was so crowded when I got here. I pulled up to a curbside spot and texted the store. Within minutes, someone brought the packages directly out to me. Although the salespeople aren't always as helpful inside, the gentleman who helped me load both boxes was friendly and helpful. They sent me in my Mary way rather than getting an additional associate (younger Hispanic lady standing there appearing ti be doing nothing) to personal assist, on my way I asked Christian where chainsaws were. I was in the paint section today. Picking up primer cause I had some other things i needed. Normally I go to paint stores for paint. Since it was primer it was negotiable. We all know everything has gone up in pricing. But somethings like "primer" has not changed. There is no new formula, or fancy can. It has one purpose, to make sure my new finish adheres. I asked for a manager of that dept to see if I could get a discount on it since it was 60.00 a gallon (normally 19.00-26.00) a gallon. Well I politely asked if there was a dept head of paint that I could speak too. A young guy answered by saying what do I need. Well I would like a discount in this material since I know I can get elsewhere for less. This young buck said, then go there. Then he continues to say, we are in a crisis man. And I asked, what kind of crisis are you taking about? He responded with an adult use and said, a midlife crisis. All the while with his phone in his hands. I don't know about Home Depot's Management. But if one of my subs told A customer to go elsewhere, he would be going elsewhere. I told the kid, I would never talk to a customer like that. Shook my head and walked away. The orange Home Depot in my experience has too many people standing around and not doing a job. I'm hoping management sees this and goes through checking on peeps that are standing around. I've seen it many times. Went down the street to Dunn-Edwards got a 9.00 per gallon discount and spent $535.00. Unbelievable to lose that kind of money because of an attitude. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, my husband and I wanted to celebrate the holiday season early, so we got our tree the day after Thanksgiving. I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised with the tree selection at this location! We ended up getting the second one we picked, and we absolutely love it. I made several visits at the 435 W Katella Ave location over a few days. Every interaction was fantastic. Curbside delivery was the fastest I've ever experienced at any curbside pickup business. And he was pleasant and the items were packed nicely. I had an issue with a Rug Doctor rental with it being dirty at pick up, and the customer service agent was so apologetic and tried to clean it herself. I highly recommend this Home Depot location and will definitely return when back in the area. read more

Today we spent $150 on potting soil and decorative pebbles I basically have a big problem with Kevin, the clerk who checked us out as we wheeled our cart up NOT AWORD!!!! We thanked him and he did say you're welcome and then I looked at him and he looked at me like something was wrong with me. So I came here to find good lights for my outdoor wedding. I came in to just browse potential options. After I entered the lighting department I was impressed with how quickly a person came to assist me. He could tell that I needed help and I was very lost with what I wanted to do. What I loved is how the man asked me what my "vision" is. He then walked me around the store to show me the proper extension cords, hooks, posts, etc that I would need for this dream to become a reality. Then he went over to the string lights and compared ALL the options. Gave me pros and cons with every kind and I greatly appreciated it! I initially walked in without the intention to buy anything until I get a better plan. With his help I was able to buy some lights and the extension cord today. So the staff is usually really nice and chill here but tonight the guy cutting chain added a couple of extra inches even tho I was specific about about what I wanted then I told the kid at self check out how much was there and he was determined to measure it anyway. Then he put the exact amount of feet and inches (the inches I didn't ask for) and I told him that the guy added it. He gave me a horrid judgmental look and typed the exact amount in and walked away without a word while I was speaking to him. It was really a bad feeling. He gave me a look like I was a criminal or a liar or something. For service, this place is trash. Been waiting on the call for nearly 10 minutes to then be ignored when all I needed to know if they had partitions. I called twice within that time frame, and I'm on crunch time for a film project. Yes or no would have sufficed. The biggest problem I have was that I was bounced between two associates that were disgruntled about helping me about a question that could've been easily addressed.
