This is the most "DISCRIMINATED Home Deport" I have ever seen. They treat Non-Chinese customers very very well, but not for Chinese customers. Especially for Mandarin-spoken Chinese, they will try their best to give HARD TIME. Unfortunately, all those staff have been doing Discrimination on Chinese are Chinese staff who can speak Cantonese & English. The real example which has actually happened on us. It was a summer morning, I and my female co-work went to this Home Deport to buy 25 items for our office. At the moment we went into the Lane to the "right section ", a Chinese Male staff with half white-grey hair was trying to use Temporary Fence to SEPARATE me and my female co-work. He shut the Lane with the fence ， I opened the fence and entered the Lane. This Chinese Half-white-haired guy shut the fence after I entered the Lane and SHOUTED to us that, " You pissed me off !!" . Then walked away. During the mean time on the scene spot, there was a Chinese Female Staff wearing half-white-grey long hair. She was using a cell phone to FILM on our faces.... The Most Crazy Action these morning-shifted Chinese staff have done on that moment is To Drive a Huge Scissors Lift into that LANE where I & my female co-work had been Locked up. Clean and uncluttered aisles. Product can be found exactly where the website stated it would be. Staff was friendly, easy to locate and know their products. Products are priced fairly and in good quantities. Only blemish is the washroom. It had the unmistakable stink. read more

On June 4, 2024, my husband and I (both seniors), were at the HD 3155 Hwy 7 to buy the Sherwood/Hampton Gazebo. The staff were extremely helpful in locating the gazebo box and using a lift to bring it onto the buggy & into our car. I was especially impressed with the cahier, ASHISH, who took care of my sale with patience (despite that the cash computer was not cooperating). He didn't stop there, he helped JAVIER & ADEBAYO in dismantling the box so that it could fit into the car. Was not an easy task, but all 3 did it with a smile & cooperation. Finally, my husband tried to tip each one of them and all 3 declined, saying its company policy not to accept tips. I enjoyed my experience yesterday & the value which was on sale. Not a single employee was helpful. No one would actually take the time to come and actually walk us to an aisle and show us where the item we were looking for would be. Every time one of the employees directed us to an aisle it was the wrong one. When we were finally in the right aisle we asked another employee where the exact item would be located and he did not look pleased and just pointed behind him. We are not handymen so we were just trying to follow the google pics of the item to find it. From what would've been 5 minutes shopping to grab the item and go turned into a 30 minute one. Going through each aisle after being frustrated with the employees giving us false directions. Even when we went to cash out at the self check-out station the woman that was supposed to make sure everything is going okay had left her spot and went to talk to another co worker about other things non-related to work. I was standing there in front of her waiting for her to finish and she ignored me. I will not go back to this location anymore. read more

I went to two Home Depots in one day to shop for a light fixture. The one that I went to on the west side did not have selections that suited what I was looking for. Then I went to this Home Depot and interestingly enough, the light fixtures are different depending on store location. I guess because the west side and east side of the GTA has such a diverse demographic that it calls for the stores to carry different light fixtures to fit these unique tastes. Perhaps because this Home Depot is on my area, which is why I found the perfect light fixture for my room! Unfortunately, when I had some questions about it, I found it difficult to locate a sale associate and when I finally did, this associate was sort of reluctant to help. Kind of a bummer! Regardless, finding the perfect light fixture is hard to come by so even with this associates's poor customer service skills, I still wanted to get it. I went for the self check-out area and the lady that assisted the check-out process was super friendly. I suppose she makes up for her associate's lack of enthusiasm. Overall, my takeaway from this whole shopping experience is this: if you first don't succeed in finding what you're looking for at a Home Depot, try and try another one. read more

This is my go-to Home Depot for all things home-like. Haha. I find that the layout and size of this one is basically the same as all the others. I generally always take a look at their plants section, as I find they are quite good in terms of price and quality. Tropical plants are like $3!!! They lack in the succulent department, but when they open their gardening centre, you'll be amazed at all the extra room and products that is opened up. Staff at this location is very helpful. Sometimes it takes a while for them to call different associates to certain places, but for the most part, my needs are taken care of and they like to help. Tip: They do price matching and will beat the price, and for plants I believe they have a 1 year warranty. 4/5. Good on ya' Home Depot. read more

This is your local Home Depot for those who live west of McCowan. It's located across from First Markham Place, and let's be honest...it barely has half the passenger traffic there. I found the service in this store to be very good. I was looking for a shower hose, and managed to find someone and he not only directed me to the section, but explained which sizes are available and the reason for the cost differentials. Considering some of the other major stores I go to, I was quite impressed with the knowledge of this employee. The self-checkout counter was a neat addition and the instructions were simple. Mind you I didn't go during peak time, but the whole process from entering the store to exiting only in 5 minutes. Solid 3 stars for the fact service is good, but nothing really stood out. read more

I am pro contractor account with Home Depot, every time I have tried to place an order over the phone no on answers the phone, they pick up the phone after 20 min and hang up. these guys are the most useless people i have ever encountered at the pot desk. I call lowes and baby phone answers and prosit delivered the next day. Home Depots proc customer service responded to place your order online. that is a moron answer, we are working on site and require to order materials for delivery and know I have to go online with my phone to place the order. so mr brilliant one. what is the purpose of the Pro desk!!! read more

Went there to do some quick shopping for a Philips #00 screwdriver to open up my laptop. I recently heard that their service had improved in order to beat Lowe's. I have to admit, service was SIGNIFICANTLY better than when I went there last. Sales people were very knowledgeable and helpful and I got the product I want very quickly. However, it is still no match for Lowe's. Lowe's still has that "help button" which I never used, I didn't see any of the sort in Home Depot. I still get the please go to XX Aisle for what you want. In Lowe's the sales person walks with me to the section and helps me find what I needed. However, Home Depot was closer to where I was so that was the other reason why I went. read more

My go to place for everything I need to keep the home in good repair. Always someone able to help you find what you need. The staff are knowledgeable and professional. We use their delayed payment feature for big purchases where you don't pay for 18 months. We have also used their in store installation service when having new doors installed. Compare to Richmond Hill HD, this Hwy 7 store across from 1st Markham Place is so terrible especially at customer service counter. On many instances, I notice staff does not enough training to work their computer system. Anything other than a simple return, some of them can't handle it. They are not customer focused, they are more employee focused. When one of their own people walked into customer service, they would start chit chat, joking. Some of them pretend they don't see you and walk away. LG is having appliance promotion from Aug 11-31, 2016. Buy 2 LG get $100 off, buy 3 LG get $300 off. But the guys in appliance section and appliance manager were not aware of this. Staff from Richmond store told me and I saw this promotion on paper, and yet Hwy 7 store staff said they never heard about it. read more

Came here for a one hr seminar as well as some basic stuff for painting that we'd forgotten last time. Again, the staff at this location was very helpful. We learned how to laminate floors. It also helps to review clips on YouTube. But def. got some helpful tips to help us get started. Things were all very easy to find. It's not that busy at this location (went on Saturday). Purchased a stackable washer/dryer to be delivered and installed. Had arranged for the unstacking of old units with Home Depot. 2 weeks later and 5 scheduled delivery attempts they cancelled, showed up with the wrong product or didn't show up at all at all! Customer service is a disaster. There is a disassembled washer and dryer sitting in the kitchen of the condo for 5 days now. Don't purchase appliances here where you will need a delivery. Customer service cannot answer delivery details and I have spent hours on the phone just trying to get an answer. Would rate no stars for Home Depot. read more

We hired Home Depot to install replacement windows at the back of our home a few years ago. We were pleased with both the windows and installation, so we returned to Home Depot intending to purchase the same brand of windows for the front of the house. Home Depot sells windows from two manufacturers. What we were not told at the store was that Home Depot no longer offers installation for their windows. The store sales representative told us that he would have a representative call us to make an appointment to measure the windows. This was the same procedure when we previously ordered the windows so nothing seemed amiss. When the representative for the installer came, he tried to sell us a different product at four times the price quoted at the store. Needless to say, we declined. Some time later, we received a follow up call from the Home Depot store and I explained what had happened. The Home Depot caller told me that what I had told him was disturbing and that he would like me to repeat the story to the store manager. The manager, however, told me that this was store procedure. Home Depot apparently has agreements with installers and provides leads to them. Home Depot does not care that the installers do not try to sell the Home Depot products. If we had been told this from the outset, we would not have wasted our time meeting with the installer's representative. We wanted the brand of windows sold in the Home Depot store not another brand. We felt like we had been victims of the old bait and switch. Not very ethical, Home Depot. read more

After today's experience, I got an answer; really satisfied customers. My experience was amazing. I was looking for some replacement parts and machine screws for my electric vinyl tiles stripper. Tom and MJ were so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. They found a solution for my problems. MJ went even further by helping me find the right screws for my machine. I had a lady come to the house to help me with kitchen blinds. According to her card she is supposed to be a designer. Her name is Jamie Kwan. She came in and altho I did tell the girl at the home depot what I wanted, I needed to see some samples and her samples consisted of about 5 pieces of slats on a chain. No Books or other samples. Well she came in and was quite arrogant. My contractor was here finishing up and was talking to her and she was so rude to him. She was literally no help at ll and as a result. I ordered the blinds elsewhere and there was a totally different approach. I did call home depot and spoke to the mangers re this woman and she said she would look after it. As much as I love the home depot and assured the manager, I would still shop there, I will not use or recommend this woman to anyone. read more
