Flushing's Home Depot is hands down the best one in NYC. It is way less busy than the others, and the wood is always high quality. The best part, though, is Andy in the wood department. We come here almost every Friday night, and it is always a great experience because of him. It is clear that he really cares about his work. He takes the time to make sure each cut is perfect, and I mean perfect every single time. No mistakes, no rushed jobs, just precision and care. Home Depot should absolutely promote him, but honestly, I would be sad not to see him in the wood department anymore. The store salesperson was fine, but their delivery service is a nightmare!! We bought a washer/ Dryer combo from this Home Depot on Oct. 9th, 2025, we paid for the delivery. Since we live in an apartment building, our building management required Certificate of Insurance (COI) from Home Depot for the delivery. The salesman gave us two phone numbers to call for the COI. Starting Oct.10th through Oct. 21st, for 11 days, we had called 6 times, spoke to 6 different people who answered the phone. Everyone said he or she will submit our request to the insurance company, but no one actually did!! on the 11th day, the rep told us, he saw no record of any insurance request under our order!! The delivery was scheduled within two days. They can deliver to our building without the COI. We called the delivery team, told them the situation. With their help, we finally reached the insurance person and started the process. It took another 5 days to complete the paperwork. It took us 16 days to get the COI. We though the nightmare was over, but no, on the night before the delivery, I received a robot call from Home Depot, told me the delivery is tomorrow but no time window. I called the delivery service for the time window. The rep told me it is between 7:30am to 11:30am. I got upset. When we signed the sales contract, we specifically have the salesperson wrote down a note to deliver after 9am, because our building loading dock do not open until 9 am. One week before the delivery, we again called the delivery team, asked them to put down a note- schedule it after 9 am!! They still scheduled us between 7:30 am - 11am!! I asked the rep.to adjust the schedule, she said there is nothing she could do. She said the scheduling is done by computer, they go by zip codes. Computer takes no requests! She said if the drive got there and could not get in, he would move on. I will have to reschedule for another day. I asked what if same thing happen again? She said you just have to keep trying until you get the right time! I could not believe, I paid for the service, I have to hit the lottery to get my delivery?! It's been 21 days; I still have to try my luck to get the wash/dryer I bought from Home Depot be sent to my home! Is this America? The next morning, sure enough, the driver called me and said he will be in my building around 8:45am. I bet him to come 15 minutes later, he said he can't guarantee it, if he can't get in, he will leave. Good thing he got there at 9am, we finally end this delivery nightmare. Funny thing, right after the delivery, Home depot sent me a survey, asked me how likely I would do business with them again? On January 15th, 2024，around 2:10 PM, I spent over $600 on products at the Home depot store in Flushing Queens NY.. When I was making the payment, a cashier, a 30-40-year-old dark-skinned woman, was very rude and scolded me harshly. She lacked patience and showed particular disrespect towards Asian Americans, all because I forgot to scrush off the store credit pin # and failed to present my driver's license. Many of my friends often complain about their rude attitudes, as if they were immigration officers returning from the Middle East, demanding strict scrutiny! The manager on site just stood by and didn't care, never prioritizing customer respect, only assisting their employees. My dad and I stopped by here today to get a bunch of stuff for our house. I took some pictures so I can show it to the sales associate. Wow, thank god for Mohammed because he provided excellent customer service to us. He guided us through the aisles and recommended us which products were better. Also, thanks to Tom for showing us how to use the Caulk Gun. We really do appreciate both of them. There was only one register opened as everything was self-checkout. I like to interact with a human being. When it was our turn, sales associate Susan asked about signing up for Home Depot's Pre-Approved credit card to get $50 off the purchase. Hey, that was such a great promo because I love to save money. Woohoo, I was Pre-Approved for Home Depot's credit card #score I also had a $3.38 balance on a Home Depot gift card then paid the difference with my new Home Depot credit card! This Home Depot has horrible customer service. They will not have tiles you are looking for. Come here, expect disinformation and horrible customer service. I came here looking for particular type of tile. The tiles are mislabeled. So you find a tile you like on the wall, and then look for the shelf for the same number and letter. Is it there? Nope. You ask someone with a Home Depot apron. They inform you that they do not work in that section. They point you to the desk. I go to the desk and the Home Depot worker is helping another family. Ok, sure. Can she direct you to someone that help? She points to her coworker. The coworker sits and talks to his friend who doesn't work there while you wait. After a while, one Home Depot employee gets up, looks for the tile. He tells you that the other Home Depot location (Woodhaven) had 40 square feet of the tile that you are looking for. He tells me that they were just not interested in helping me. Oh great, that doesn't help at all. Then the same Home Depot employee scoots down the aisle, pretending to look at the tiles. He disappears. Who taught anyone how to communicate at this location? No wonder all the contractors warned me about buying from Home Depot. Come here and expect Home Depot to waste your time. The curbside pick up is really slow (30+ minute wait) and it is better to just park and get the items yourself. They have a decent plant selection with roses, herbs, vegetables, planters, and succulents. The seeds are a bit pricey but soil sometimes goes on sale. Picked a Christmas tree from here! They had a large selection to choose from. Literally there was still a shelf full of mini trees that were still wrapped in plastic. I opted for a mini tree since I live in a small apartment. BEST DEAL EVER! Astoria skimpy tree $40 vs. Home Depot full tree $23. Umm, sign me up for two! (just kidding, I don't have room for 2). I literally drove to 3 different florists in the Flushing area and none of them had small trees. #Disappointed Anyway, the reason for the 3 stars is because the staff doesn't seem to know their stuff. I asked the cashier lady outside how much these trees were. She told me to look for a tag with a price. Do you think I didn't look before I asked you? SMH. When I told her there was no price listed, she ended up coming out of her stall and looking around the shelves (Yea lady, I know... no price tag...). She ended up asking someone and told me it was $23, I even confirmed that the price came with the base. After picking my tree, I went to wait in line to pay for it. Same stall as the previous lady was in but now a guy was there. Of course, now we're back to square one. The guy didn't know the price. Then he found out the price. Then he said the base doesn't come with the price. Umm, the tree is INSIDE the base why would it not be included? The larger trees when you buy them, are not in bases so you know you have to pay for them separately. Then it was more waiting around, just for him to say the base was included in the price. Then I asked him how to water it. Why did I bother? Ended up asking the guys that were wrapping the larger trees. My point is, if you're going to place cashiers/staff in the outdoor garden area. They should know about the products that they're selling. Each area of Home Depot (garden, lighting, bath, etc) should have staff that are "experts" of those areas. Typically, they do but I guess since Christmas trees are a seasonal item, they just kinda threw whoever they had out there to fend for themselves. read more

I placed an order online for pickup but was not able to make it by the pickup date window. The email I got from HD says to call the store directly to extend the time I have. I spent an hour on hold only to be hung up on. I called back, spent 15 minutes on hold, and was hung up on again. HD as a chain consistently hangs up when calling, at least in NYC. I called corporate directly, and they were able to get in touch with the store for me and extend my pickup window (corporate themselves had to spend another 20 mins on the phone). When I finally picked up the item it was missing pieces which made it unusable. While we all need to be more flexible during COVID, these problems were present before. Home Depot does not appear able to provide customer service on the phone when it comes to individual locations. read more

Hi Friends! Thanks for stopping by. I Love coming to the Flushing Home Depot. I am currently redecorating my apartment. As my apartment redecorated itself ..(large hole where kitchen used to be).. a few months ago with unexpected steam pipe rupture. The Flushing Home Depot has been just wonderful! It's such a convenient place with FREE parking, I can shop and purchase the many items we'll need to re-make our home. I needed to purchase the sealant called "GREAT STUFF" they have a type which is rodent retardant and seals all those small cracks and crevices where the critters can come through. I was really happy to find a large display of the products, however the product labeling had changed and also later I found out the stuff didn't dispense as easily as before. It still did the job however. The Home Depot was easy to shop in. Following the review of my Yelp friend Swatee, we easily located the large lighting section here, it was was wonderfully well-stocked ..as my yelper friend had reported. We have some lamps and lightning fixtures that need replacement. I could also get some inexpensive decorative rugs. Let's stick to the cheap ones in case the apartment decides to explode again in the future. There was a wide variety of of small items needed to make our house a home again and little by little with the help of Home Depot we're getting there. I wanted to shout out to the wonderful sales representatives that kindly assisted us . Oh and by the way don't forget to stop by the little Food Shack for Breakfast or yummy Cheese Steak lunch. The little Eatery is embedded right into the front of this Home Depot.. so you can't miss it. Really nice folks and they use fresh ingredients.. and it's really surprisingly good! So there's no need to shop Hungry. .. and wife says thank you for the nice clean bathroom...And did I mention the parking here is FREE. This Home Depot is not my favorite. The parking lot is not big enough for all the traffic during the day time. It is very crowded on the weekends. It is also very popular with the local contractors so it is busy! This location was 24-hrs. but not anymore! So for emergencies I am out of luck! read more

I was waiting on line while my mother went to her to ask a simple question that only needed a yes or no and she barked back saying she was wrong and trying to cut the line. I'm giving this Home Depot a 5 star rating primarily for one person, though at this location, I've definitely had a good share of really helpful people who go above and beyond. When I went to go pick up two items ordered online this week, I had the good fortune of being helped by Meaghan. When she saw I had my baby strapped to me, she immediately took charge and wouldn't let me lift a finger. She wouldn't even let me go to the locker to retrieve my item, near the front door, because she was trying to keep me and my baby warm, from the cold draft outside. When she returned, she brought me a bottle of water and a Reese's peanut butter cup while I waited for her to get my second item from customer service. Can you imagine? What service! In this day in age, in New York no less, AND at a Home Depot, to be treated with such care is astounding! It should also be noted that when I've been in before, when I was pregnant, I was lucky to be helped by one of the greeters. He'd seen that I was pregnant and was quick to offer a helping hand. Turns out he was a former EMT and before I knew it, we got to talking about labor and delivery for almost 20 minutes. It was such a wonderful conversation, I walked away feeling really uplifted about delivery. To me, that seems to be the exact outcome you'd want in a greeter, someone who is that personable and warm that you find yourself lost in great conversation feeling better than when you walked in. Wow this place is bad in terms of customer service. I asked Vonrick in hardware if they carried a particular screw that I was looking for and where would it be located if they had it? Vonrick looked at the screw and muttered, "Your best bet is to look in the aisle?". Are you serious??? I come here to get a refund for 2 items, I have the receipt for both items and debit card I used and this racist Indian guy come telling me I need a ID to do a return. I've returned stuff before at various locations whenever needed and I've never needed a ID. I prefer small local hardware stores with personal customer service but when shopping as a team compromise is inevitable. In scanning through aisles and aisles from flooring, paint, hardware, garden, plastering, gutter, bathroom, kitchen, ahh the joys and triumphs of home ownership. Most staffs are willing to answer question but some don't know where things are and just tell you something random and you get lost. Self check out is my go and they always check your receipt before you leave. Lots of different brands and items, usually well stock for the most part. While Home Depot seems to have a monopoly on discount hardware/home & garden stores, I wish they would have better service. This one here is messy, disorganized, and the customer service is almost non-existent. Employees here seems stressed, fatigued, and annoyed most of the time and will take it out on you if you provoke them, accident or not. If you by chance need something, get it yourself and use the self-checkout. Any contact with an employee will render your visit an awful experience. If you really need help, go to the Jamaica branch. This place has its own parking lot and accommodates for many cars. The lot is never full and the supplies in the store plenty. Home depot has a really lenient return policy that allows you to return something for almost any reason. Having a receipt will definitely help. I wouldn't abuse their system. But having their return policy is a nice insurance policy on something you might want to buy. Just be aware that certain items are restricted from their return policy. When at the store, the customer representatives with the orange home depot aprons are so helpful and willing to assist your needs. Occasionally they have deals online that might require a store pick up. This is where I deducted the one star. They are not consistently fast and one time I had to wait 20 minutes before being helped, there was only 1 person in front of me. It wasn't because of the other customers requests, but it was because of the incompetence of the employee not knowing how to use the system. read more

This is the second time I've purchased a refrigerator from home depot within the last 4 years, first refrigerator was broke down after 3 years of short use. And second is even worst experience I'm getting, so I'll make sure this is the last time I'll ever purchase any compliance in Home Depot. My refrigerator door was never installed properly and crooked, however I passed the 48 hours policy, I'm not a compliances expert, the doors looks fine from the front, but after experiencing months of issues where there is a so much water on the ceiling of the refrigerator, I realized there might be a problem with the cooling, after getting someone to look at it and he told me the door was not installed properly, and from the top, I can literally put my fingers in. Imagine how many months of extra electricity I been paying, after trying to contact them all day both phone and online just to realize they can't do anything about it, since the sales person at flushing went with the short cut and didn't even put in my phone number with the order to begin with! What Home Depot really need is to put the wall scanner to do some price checking because it can be pretty annoying when you really need to check the prices on certain item & none of the employee can help you. Went to Home Depot yesterday to buy some seeds, only to find out that you can't go in and have to wait to get your order taken. There were at least 8 workers there but only 1 taking order. Unfortunately, the person who was taking the order was inept and full of attitude. He walked out on the customer he was helping. His words were "I don't have to help you, you know." After which he stormed off. So again we waited for another employee to help us. After waiting for 30-40 minutes we find out we can't even buy the seeds because you can't add it to their virtual basket. The only saving grace to this whole situation was "Vincent." We explained our situation and how much time we have wasted. He tried to do the transaction for us but was unable to because the seeds can't be added on to the basket. So he said that he will make it right by giving us the seeds the following day since he was already on his way home. He gave us his name and number and told us to text him for the time we want to pick up the seeds. Today, we went there and as promised Vincent delivered! Long story short: this location has been changed to curbside ONLINE pick up ONLY. The location near the DMV is a walk-in. Curbside is poo. Park closer to the front of the store for immediate assistance. I waited over an hour for a freakin cement trowel. Since they changed the place to curbside pickup because of the virus, the service has been poop. If you drive into their parking lot, you'll be stopped by two people who will ask you if you're picking up. If you are then you drive into the pick up lot with other waiting cars. If you are not picking up you'll be turned away. Once you get to the curbside pick up lot, there are employees directing you to the parking spots and then if you're lucky, someone will come to your car and ask you for your order number. You are not allowed to step outside your vehicle to flag someone which is stupid because half the time they don't know who came first or not. So note: NOT A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. Just park your ass at the very first spot closest to the door where the employees are if you want attention ASAP. Once an employee comes to get your order number you'll wait in your car for idk how long. Point of the matter is, don't wait outside the parking lot for an astronomical time even if you don't get the notification that your order is ready. Once you place your online order just wait 10 mins and check in. The process will hopefully be faster but if you have time to kill then yeah you can wait it out. read more

I purchased windows from them with a lifetime warranty. years later I went back to them due to a window crank broke and I was want replacement under the lifetime warrant. They told me they would not help and called the vendor who said that due to the crank was no longer available, we voided the warrant. after this Home Depot was no help. also called there corporate office which also no solution.
