This location is okay. The store itself is clean, well-lit, and generally organized. The staff is friendly -- you'll never have trouble finding someone to help, and most do so with a smile. But where this location falls short for me is consistency and convenience. There have been multiple times I've come here for basic items -- things you'd expect any Home Depot to have in stock -- only to find out they're not available. Then I'll drive to another nearby Home Depot, and boom, it's sitting right there on the shelf. It's frustrating, because it makes you question how inventory is managed at this location. Now, let's talk about the rental department. I rented a lawnmower here once and the process was quick and simple -- no issues at all. So naturally, when I needed a truck about a year later, I came back expecting the same experience. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. The lady working the counter seemed completely uninterested in helping. Instead of walking me through options or giving me an estimate, she told me I could just walk around the counter and look at her screen myself. That's not what I call customer service -- I was hoping for a cost breakdown or even basic insight to compare with other truck rental companies. In the end, I just went elsewhere because I couldn't get the help I needed. And finally, the traffic here is awful. The store sits off a busy road with awkward entry and exit points, and there have been more than a few times I've almost been clipped by people trying to turn in or out. Between the tough access and inconsistent service, this store has some work to do to reach the level of other Home Depot locations nearby, but the reality is it is convenient for met, so nothing listed here is going to prevent me from coming back again here in the future. read more

As recent homeowners I feel like Home Depot has become our home away from home. It seems like we come here every day for something or the other! I find the store to be reasonably well organized, easy to do returns (multiple receipts can be processed in the same transaction and you can return pretty much anything even if it's open/used as long as you have the packaging) and it's usually pretty easy to flag someone down to help. I would not however recommend buying carpet for installation here if you want it done in any reasonable amount of time. Also on a recent trip we learned that they do not cut metal. The self checkouts usually move very fast and the tool/equipment rentals are pretty well stocked too. read more

Great location on Lawrenceville highway and N Decatur. Ample of parking spots but a narrow entrance from the tool rentals lot. The store is always neat, organized and stocked. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have made countless trips here for my apt and house and the staff has always made it easy to locate the right item and find any promotions if any. There are a wide variety of hardware, paint, appliance, garden supply and cleaning supplies. It is on a pricier end for some products but they always have great promotions for memorial and Labor Day. I came into the store tonight to buy some trim pieces for a closet and a couple of door knobs to finish a project. I had already purchased the bi-fold doors and need these two things to complete the job. I asked the first employee if they could send someone to isle to cut the trim for me. (I waited for a couple of minutes to get him to stop playing on his phone. Then I waited for a few minutes more and finally asked a different employee for assistance. He showed me where the employee was in the store that could help me. When I approached him to ask him if he could help me, he sad "Weren't you standing by the saw and measuring tape?" He looked at me as if I had multiple heads and was shocked that I asked for assistance. I stated that I wanted to ensure that it was done correctly and he again, told me that I could cut it myself. I cut the trim myself and wondered to myself, what would happen if I cut my hand really bad because no one knows if I am capable of doing this on my own. I asked for the manager on duty and he listened to what I had to say . He agreed with me and since was sorry and would talk to the employee. I still cannot believe that I was told to cut my own trim instead of an employee doing it for me as paying customer. I hope the store manger sees this review and contacts me with a response. This review is for the Lindbergh - Piedmont road location in Buckhead Atlanta. Mark and I decided to stop here and purchase replacement bulbs for our landscape lighting as well as stocking up on Duraflame logs for our wood burning fireplace in preparation for any potential power outages or storms similar to the disaster in Texas. We stopped to shop here around 8pm in the evening and it was quite dark. My issues with this location are the following: The parking lot was dark and needed better lighting. As soon as we opened the car doors we had homeless people in our faces aggressively begging. When we finished shopping we encountered more aggressive homelessness people begging for money while trying to load our heavy purchases into our SUV. It was unnerving and we felt vulnerable while our hands were full. The parking lot had multiple vehicles with random people sitting in them with no apparent purpose to their presence in the lot or intent to shop. We were scared that we would be returning to smashed windows on our vehicle as this has happened to us before. Other vehicles were randomly circling the lot repeatedly with occupants just staring at us. We did not feel safe shopping during evening hours at this location. What we liked was the great selection of products and our ability to find everything we needed at a fair price. Service from all employees was friendly and we were greeted and offered help during our shopping. The parking lot needs visible and engaged security to protect patrons. Lighting needs to be drastically improved. I recommend this location only for daytime shopping. read more

Person at checkout line just on phone not paying attention. Go in knowing what you need or you might have to search around for a helpful employee. Every visit is a pleasant one. These associates are so helpful and kind. If you need help, just be respectful and they will be more than happy to help. I called the Home Depot on Lawrenceville highway in Decatur to ask whether they rent floor scrapers. Giving the staff the benefit of the doubt, the answering machine hung up on me twice before I reached someone on the 3rd call. I was told a floor scraper was available. When I got to the store, the blade on the rental scraper was worn out. The rental department didn't sell replacement blades. Walking the store, I had trouble finding an employee to help me find replacement blades. The employee I finally located was as stumped as I was as to why there were none in stock. He suggested I double check in the rental area. The employee in the rental area could not have cared less about my wasted trip & time. All that person had to say was "Well, we certainly don't have them back here." A floor scraper without a blade is not a floor scraper. It's an exceedingly impractical paperweight. read more

Terrible operation. They sell you expensive big ticket items and do not give you decent service after the sale. We bought an expensive Samsung refrigerator with an extended warranty from the Daphne, Alabamastore. First the ice maker stopped working then it started leaking water which damaged our floor. Home Depot and Samsung are refusing to fix our floors. Caveat emptor--if you plan to buy appliances here. Bought a washer here recently. Damaged washer was delivered, and crew left without getting my approval signature. Later, in the tracking and "proof of delivery", I found they had forged my signature. "Customer Service" did not care. Apparently little or no real customer service training is done here, and there seems to be no accountability for deception and fraud. read more

Home Depot on Wages Dr./Lawrenceville Highway I visited the garden section of this Home Depot today and purchased 3 bales of pine straw only to find that there were none in the outside trailer (no employee there but I climbed up and looked inside the trailer myself). At the Customer Service desk while trying to get a simple refund for the items, I was ignored while the customer service employees called two people ahead of me who walked up while I was standing in the line (just me in the line). Although this store is very close to my home and I've been shopping there for years, I've never had anything but ridiculously bad service there so don't plan to go back. Thanks for bringing a broken dishwasher to my house, 2 hours after their time frame of delivery, unplugging my Google home to charge your phone, then leaving a dishwasher sized hole in my kitchen without telling me that the sink would be leaking and my hot water would be non-existent. Willie F. Fitz was absolutely terrible to work with!!!! I was trying to do a return on June 17, 2022 around 11:30am. I was doing returns from three different cards and two of the cards were no longer in use and each time he would ask if I had the card and he would get frustrated and smack on the counter in frustration. And then he wouldn't even put the effort into helping me find one of the items I online ordered through my account that I spend 100k+++ on a year as a contractor and had to sit in line again to get a sweet girl to help me out. It pains me to write this, as I know many cool people who work for HD. And let me first say that the Retired Marine who helped me out gets five stars. He was a very gentle person, quickly giving me the right advice and putting some required parts in my hand. That fellow is the shining star in this store. The problem: I needed some parts to complete a job. That is--the job was 80% done, and I just needed one or two small things to finish everything up. So I went in and hovered around the aisle where I thought the things I needed would be. I found nothing. So I waited for help. I saw none. I went to ask for help, and none came. Over the 15 minutes I waited for help, I counted more than 9 associates who walked past, some of whom walked past as I was sprawled out across the aisle (tired of standing), and didn't give me a second glance. Not a single one of them even said "hello" never mind "can I help you?" I guess seeing a customer lying sprawled halfway across an aisle in HD is just all in a day's work for those guys. read more

I purchased a "MP Doors 36 in. x 80 in. Andaman Medium Oak Left-Hand Inswing 3/4 Oval Lite Decorative Fiberglass Prehung Front Door" for my mother's home through the Home Depot App. It was a home delivery order. The expected delivery date was 4/17. It is 4/19 and the door has still NOT been delivered and no one can seem to tell me where the door is even though the carrier has confirmed that the door was delivered to the Lawrenceville Hwy store on 4/11. My mother went up to the store to retrieve it and no one knows where it is. Mind you, I have a copy of the proof of delivery of the door to the store . Home Depot was paid to deliver it to the residential address on file but did not. I have used their customer service chat and spoke to people on the phone and still no resolution! They have my money but I have no product. I suggest that you try Lowe's or any other home improvement store before wasting your money with the Home Depot because they suck! read more

I love the Home Depot. For the past 4 months I've been wanting to upgrade to a front load washer and dryer. The draw back you ask?! They're expensive as hell!! I try Sears but wasn't impressed and really annoyed by the constant up sale by the rep. I tried the Sears Outlet but again I wanted something that was 'cute' (of course) but would also lower my water bill (FYI, the front loader weighs your clothes and use only enough water to cleanse what you put in it, there isn't a set amount of water like other washers)...and a little more info for the curious, the spin cycle is so intense that the clothes are almost dry afterwards, they also have a steam setting so you no longer need to use the dry cleaners (WELL, I'll still take the peacoat to the cleaners but not my dress pants, etc.) Doing a little on line shopping at homedepot.com and I see that the w/d are on sale, you also get 10% off of that, delivery is free and like other stores they don't charge you to install it!!! I'm sold!!! I jump in my ride and head to The HD. I was very pleased with the service I received. No pressure to upgrade to a washer that I could probably fit in, my sales rep was full of conversation, and to add icing to the cake...once the check out guy invited himself over to watch his shirt wash in my washer, my sales rep explained to me the necessary steps to take if he shows up, dirty shirt in hand (Call 9-1-1) =)~ Besides their prices are better than lets say Lowes as well as the customer service!! read more

I am a professional with Home Depot and spend thousands with them on projects. To start this off. This location wouldn't honor price matching, and the store is poorly managed. I spent over 2 hours in the store which should have only taken 30min. I amazed how poorly the selves are stocked and the employees trained. I lost time and money as I pay my employees daily. Do not use this location even our metal we bought was outside not even stocked on selves. As a professional this store lacks quality and trained employees that will honor the price matching. My daughter moved to Atlanta and bought a house in Decatur GA. I normally don't go to Home Depot because after you load all your items in the cart you have to check yourself out. (In Columbia S.C. Where I live) And those stupid machine never work. But she only lives about 2 miles from this HD I went here THIS Home Depot however had someone to check you out and each time I went there the check out person were very friendly. What a nice surprise. So I'm back home thought since the Home Depot was better in GA Maybe the ones here were better. Awe nope their still the same. This 1-star review pertains to TOOL RENTAL and specifically, an employee named CHERRY. I have rented a mower from this location close to a dozen times. Each time I've been rented a mower with a full tank of gas. This last time I completed about five minutes of mowing before the mower quit. I checked the fuel---it was empty. I called TOOL RENTAL to find out what the deal was and spoke with Cherry. I'm not sure which was more ridiculous: her attitude or the nonsense she was spouting. According to Cherry, the fuel is *my* responsibility. She then asked me if I'd even checked it before I left the store--not sure how that would matter, but she would not let me answer anyway. I'll assume by her brash rudeness, Cherry has not been taught the basics of customer service. I understand how shitty people like this can find their way to position at a big corporation. How they keep that position is a mystery. I can only assume Cherry causes more problems than she is worth. I wait tables and earn my living in tips. If she were my co-worker, she would surely go hungry. I doubt this will find its way to the desk of "someone that matters." But in case it does, this was my LAST visit to this Home Depot location. I've lived about a mile from this location for seven years. Because of its close proximity, it's been my go-to for all things home-related. For future purchases, it'll be easier to drive a little further to the nearest Lowe's. read more

If you are thinking about a cabinet refacing done by Home Depot, stop right now. I beg you, do not do it. Don't be enticed by zero percent financing. It's not worth it. Unless you have the time and stamina to deal with scheduling snafus and delays, incorrect measurements, waiting months for installation only to find out half of your materials were never ordered, repeated phone calls and emails that are never returned, just average workmanship relative to what you pay, and the general stress of a project that drags on for months. We ordered refacing in February and here it is mid-July, we're closing on the sale of our house in ten days, and the last materials (a replacement for a pair of cabinet doors that were measured wrong) won't be in until after we close and move. The correct measurements were taken on May 19! It's ONE pair of kitchen cabinet doors yet it's 2+ months for them to be made and be shipped to the warehouse! Search on Houzz for some other accounts of HD cabinet refacing nightmares, or the reviews on the HD cabinet refacing page. This has been such a stressful, expensive experience I won't buy so much as a pack of yard bags from Home Depot ever again. I'm posting this for the Wages Drive store because that's the one closest to me, and because I think the salesman works out of this store. read more

This is a great Home Depot location. Yes, sometimes they are a little understaffed, but who isn't? Yes, sometimes you have to wait a few minutes for help, but just be patient and wait your turn. The managers are wonderful and very hardworking, and will do everything in their power to help customers as quickly as possible. So before you go yelling at a rep in customer service because you need help in cabinets, chill TF out and remember they're people too, BE KIND, and it's not their fault! Multiple associates standing around talking (place was very busy) and another 3 associate s standing behind the customer service area who had no clue on how to do a return.2 customers standing in line just gave up and left. Buyer beware with countertops from Stone Systems of Atlanta. Had absolutely no problem until install. Had a 12-4 window today and as I type this, it's 7:15 p.m. still no countertops. I cannot describe my disappointment in this day. Up until install, everything had been on the money. I called the countertop company, Stone Systems and was told my installer, 1099 subcontractor, had a install in Newman, then mine In Decatur. When he called me, he said he was near Lake Hartwell. Lake Hartwell is 150 miles from Newman and 121 miles from me. Explain that to me, 2jobs in the metro area and he goes over 100 miles out of his away? It 7:21p.m., 3 and almost 1/2 hours from the 4 O'clock deadline. I lost an entire day over this and no one cares. What ever happened to freaking being on time and being proud of your product.?
