Jokes aside, this store is solid every single time I come in. I always find exactly what I'm looking for, which is saying a lot for a hardware store when you're mid-project and already annoyed. The layout makes sense, it's well stocked, and I'm rarely wandering around aimlessly. What really seals the deal here is the staff. The employees are consistently friendly and genuinely helpful. Special shout-out to Otis, who helped me resolve a dryer issue in a matter of minutes. No upselling, no confusion -- just quick problem-solving that saved me time and frustration. This is one of those neighborhood Ace locations that actually lives up to the reputation: knowledgeable staff, dependable inventory, and a little personality to go with it.

At the other location I was not asked about it at all. Great customer service from the employees here. Pull up and check them out for yourself. Definitely worth the trip not a disappointment.

I walked in looking for sand paper like a rookie and picked one that goes like a belt on the tool however I was looking to use it by hand. The checkout process was a breeze and they helped me learn and signup for their rewards program. I'm glad this is my neighborhood Ace Hardware. There is ample of parking besides the store. It can be seen from regular traffic. They offer plastic free packaging. Shopping is a pleasure here, kudos to staff and a management.

I usually dress in a suit; that's how I was brought up to always look your best. As I am being rung out at the register, the cashier, a middle-aged Caucasian male, looks at me and says, "Your address awfully nice for going out tagging." Then he chuckled. I found this to be highly offensive when I called him out on it. He responded well: " I don't see anything wrong with it. I was just making a joke." I informed him that words hurt, and if I were a Caucasian male, he would not have made that statement. Due to my experience, I will never go back to this or any Ace Hardware's

I had just did a trade-in a couple days earlier at Lowes and used the tank about 30 minutes on low while I sat out back to enjoy a cigar and a glass of bourbon. So since I would do the same on New Years, I wanted to simply top off the tank. The tank was still at least 3/4 full. I carried the tank to the front and the guy told me to leave the tank up front and they would take it back to be filled. While I waited 3 other people came in to fill their tanks. Now, I am used to how the East Point Hardware operates as they allow you to see them fill the tank and then they write down the amount of propane filled and you simply take it to the register and pay and then pull your car up to grab the tank as they do not allow tanks in the store due to it being a fire hazard. When (she) manager brough my tank and receipt it read full price for a full refill. I knew this was impossible as the tank was barely used. I asked her to show me the amount placed in the tank and she simply said it was a full refill. When I told her this was impossible, she stated all of the tanks she received were full refills. I asked again, how could a tank that was 3/4 full need a full refill (price)? She could not even look me in the face when she said this as I knew she was not telling the truth even after questioning this a few times with her. Unfortunately, I bet this has happened to a lot of customers that did not pay attention to their receipt as it looks like this location will charge you for a full refill no matter how much propane is in the tank at the time of receiving for refill. This is truly an unscrupulous way to do business. Not everyone waits until their tanks are completely empty before getting refills. I am not sure if this is the manager's business practice or if she was trained to do it this way. Either way, it's not good!! Overcharging for propane refills I guess is an easy way to additionally get additional profit from customers. I am all for making sure a business makes their profit margins on their products, services etc, but do it ETHICALLY! By the way, the 2 young high school looking guys at the front of the store were very friendly.

While most other stores have been pillaged this time of year by the incoming GT student throng, you'll be able to find exotic necessary items like shower curtain rings and plungers on the cheap. Save some time as well without having to drive OTP for a non-empty shelf. The only delay for us was picking from the mildly vast choices for each item. Should it be the plastic rings in one of three colors, or metal? Which of the five plunger types? We could stay for hours, but let's not get carried away. Near the register we noticed the array of fun non-hardware type items for sale. We'll have to hit that section up next time when not running to setup a college student's bathroom on the fly. Friendly speedy checkout experience--nearly surpass the Big Green Egg aroma outside the front door, almost. We'll drop these items off with the college peeps and head back to the burbs until next round.

BUYERS BEWARE! Terrible customer service after their own employee damaged our car…read more We bought patio furniture here yesterday and were told to bring around our own vehicle for loading, delivery was never mentioned as an option. When the employee loaded the furniture, he shoved it in with zero care, gave no warning it wouldn't fit, and never offered padding or delivery. This tore our car's roof trim and left a visible hole (see photo). We called the moment we noticed and were told to come in the next day to "figure something out." Instead, we got the opposite of customer service. The owner was condescending, dismissive, and outright rude from the first minute. He told us the damage was OUR fault, flatly refused to discuss any way to make it right, and made snide, patronizing remarks questioning whether we even understood how insurance works, as if we were too dim to grasp our own claim. When we pointed out that no employee had ever mentioned delivery, he smugly said it "should have been obvious," as though we were supposed to read minds instead of being told. This wasn't an owner trying to find a fair solution and coming up short, this was someone who wasn't interested in a solution at all, and who used condescension as a strategy to make us feel too stupid or intimidated to push back. Zero acknowledgment. Zero apology. Zero attempt to de-escalate or even hear us out respectfully. Damage happens, I understand accidents. What's unacceptable is how a company treats you after their own staff causes that damage. If this is how the person running the business handles a legitimate problem, I'd think twice about trusting them with anything else. I would strongly advise shopping elsewhere.
