A few things I did notice, start in the far back and work forward. Do have them pull it out, plug it in, and throughly look over the appliance (refrigerator in my case). Do your homework before you go. Know how to check temp and bring your own equipment. Know what you want and your budget. Mostly- know the measurements of where the appliance will be placed & it's helpful to know measurements of previous appliance . I did seem to have trouble with fridge once I got it home. The walls of interior didn't match temp that fridge said it was. I immediately called and they let me know for to reboot. A day later, same story. The manager could've sent to manufacture warranty but instead handled matter directly allowing an exchange. This is something few businesses can/will do including those big guys. I know it can't happen every time but I truly appreciated it. Later, I realized in extreme heat it took 3 days (not opening door) for the unit to fully acclimatize. Now, I love my fridge. I'm not unexpectedly broke from surprise purchase. Delivery... They use a third party service called BDK. I will update damages caused during delivery are handled. Their drivers struck a garage door and left. So, be present throughout entire delivery. How to check temperature in a refrigerator: Place a few small cups of water in plastic cups inside and let set 24 hrs. Take a thermometer (laser or meat) and read the temp of the water. This is most accurate way to check it. Water needs to be between 30-40*. Even one degree over can cause spoilage & food poisoning. Freezer should be between 5*to -10*. Interior walls of refrigerator should be in the mid to high 40s if properly cooling. Back wall or around vents maybe colder. Doors always a bit warmer.

Take your business elsewhere! Do not waste your time even walking into the AC-less building…read more I was referred by a coworker that recently purchased here and she had a great experience. So I visited, found a mattress I liked (for a very affordable price) and purchased it same day. It was delivered less than 2 hours after purchasing. I thought it was a great experience (considering I found a mattress I liked for less than $500), even though there is absolutely no AC in there....like I was drenched in sweat when I left. The issue came about when the mattress I received was extremely firm....and I tried out a very plush mattress in-store. I know that some mattresses can take time to get comfortable, but this hardly felt like the floor model that I laid on. So long story short, I was told by my sales rep (David) that I could exchange it and he would work with me...but I needed to keep the plastic. I told him that the delivery guy ripped the plastic apart to take the mattress out as soon as he brought it in...so the plastic was thrown out since it was ripped up. He said that would be fine. I was also never told any of this while in store. Well all of that was definitely false. He contacted me yesterday to get an update (after 3 days of having it) and I told him that the mattress wasn't anymore comfortable now than the first day I received it and I wanted to exchange it. He told me to call someone named Jon and tell him what happened. Well Jon was rude, for starters, and told me they don't have a refund/exchange policy. Then he told me that they gave me the floor model that I tried out and I told him that was not the truth because it felt completely different and I never saw them take the floor model to the delivery truck (they grabbed it and put it on the truck before I left the store). So then he rushed me off the phone because he was "busy." I reached back out to David to let him know what happened. He called Jon...who I'm assuming is the supervisor or GM and David told me he said no. Well Jon called me back to tell me I couldn't exchange it before I even saw David's text. He said "well you should call David to ask him why he told you he could exchange it. He knows we don't do refunds or exchanges." I explained my story and he tried to throw the blame on me. He says "well my question is why did you call David to try and fix the issue and not call me first?" I had NO idea who Jon was (and still kind of don't) until David told me to give him a call. David was the ONLY person working in the store when I went last Saturday. Then Jon says "well if it was still in the plastic we could take it back, but it's not." Which basically led me to believe he was just feeding me crap to get me off the phone and is an even bigger liar than the sales rep. So after pointlessly going back and forth with Jon, I ended the call and let David know I was not happy. He asked me to call him later on in the day but I've already wasted enough time with this awful business. So basically, I'm stuck with this mattress and T E R R I B L E customer service from this place. They do not make you aware of this "no refund/exchange" policy and it's not printed on the receipt either. This place is shady. The saying goes "you get what you pay for" so please take your hard earned money to a place with a great reputation/reviews and a clear refund/exchange policy! Sometimes its better to pay more!

AMERICANA FURNITURE!…read more This little furniture store is located on Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker. My husband and I were in the area so we thought that we would stop by. When we pulled into the parking lot, we immediately noticed the word "outlet" on the building. This had escaped me initially as furniture outlets just aren't our thing because they typically don't offer the quality we are interested in seeing. We went into the store anyway to inquire about specific brands and check out their selection. Although the salesmen were nice and helpful, the store just didn't have a quality selection of furniture. They actually showed us one sofa that they described as leather but this was not our idea of leather. It just seemed like a shiny plastic instead of a rich top-grain leather that you could smell and experience before you actually see it. If you have a very small budget and are looking for something to simply fill a space, this store might be an option. However, if you are looking for better brands and furniture that will last a lifetime, you will want to keep looking. *** It was okay, just not what we wanted.

I came in here on Presidents' Day, hoping to score some deals since the mail provided lots of flyers were different deals from different furniture stores this so happen to be my first location and stop and I so happen to score a few deals. I was able to purchase a dining room table and a couch for a reasonable price. The deals were definitely dealing this day and I think I scored a decent deal. I wish they would've worked it down to a little bit less, but I settled and still took the furniture anyways. See below and attached for a few photos of the store and the deals that they had going on on Presidents' Day and to see what I copped.

I am sharing this experience as a matter of consumer safety and transparency for anyone considering…read morea significant investment at Georgia Furniture Mart. My current sofa has suffered a complete structural collapse where the main wooden load-bearing rail has detached from the frame, causing the furniture to sink to the floor and requiring a stack of magazines to prevent a total cave-in. This is not an isolated incident of wear and tear, but a recurring manufacturing defect; this specific unit was actually a 2021 replacement for a previous unit that failed due to the exact same frame issues documented in their own technician's notes. The most concerning aspect of this experience is the company's response to a loyal, multi-year customer facing a safety hazard. When I reached out to their service department, I did not ask for a free replacement or a handout; I explicitly requested to pay for a professional repair to be done by their team. Georgia Furniture Mart flatly refused to even send a technician for a fee, stating that because the item is out of its one-year labor window, they will not service it under any circumstances. It is a significant red flag when a retailer sells large-scale furniture that fails structurally in under five years and then refuses to provide any path toward a paid repair or maintenance. For potential shoppers, please be aware that Georgia Furniture Mart's commitment to your purchase appears to end exactly at the 12-month mark, regardless of the severity of the product's failure. While they market "life-improving" furniture, my experience has been one of repeated structural defects and a total lack of corporate accountability. If you expect your furniture to last a reasonable length of time or hope for a company that stands by its craftsmanship through paid service options, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. A sofa frame should not be propped up by books in less than five years, and a reputable business should not abandon its customers when their products fail.
