The staff is so rude here. This was my first and will be my last time at this store. Nobody acknowledged me and there was two workers just talking at the desk. when I spoke up to get some help the man at the desk by the refrigerators said it wasn't his area and completely ignored me again. Then a rude worker who happened to pass by said it was there area and kept walking and did not bother to try to help. Not a great experience. Long long lines. "Ronnie" decides to help check people out, however , starts at the end of the line taking people to check out. There's no substitute, it's a little hard to find help but anyone I've gotten to makes a respectable effort to help me find things. The only minor complaints are they don't have anything like budget drills for occasional users like me, only fifty dollar and up things for professionals, but I just have to go to Walmart or Harbor freight if I'm really on a budget. There's cheap lumber for small home projects like book shelves 1x3x8' low quality is only less than two dollars. Some fun tips: Musicians, get moving blankets for deadening recording rooms, if you need a VERY cheap divider get painters drop cloths, nice tan color , and the rolled vinyl floor protector if you're renting an apartment and don't want to pay the landlord for a new one. read more

They have an insurance company named Sedgwick handle and deny all of their claims, so if you get injured as a customer in a Home Depot store, you will have to hire a private personal injury lawyer to get any compensation. Sedgwick has the worst reputation imaginable for handling customer insurance claims for a lot of companies including Public Storage and AT&T, denying every single claim they receive. We couldn't find a single review that had more then a single star. This has made Home Depot employees brazen if you get hurt. My wife was innocently walking past another customer at this store that was picking out rebar, which fell and hit her on her hand holding her shopping cart. breaking a finger, putting her in a cast with a lot of pain and damage. The way the rebar was displayed made it likely that someone could get hurt by negligence. They would not release the security camera video of the event. They refused to show us their claim. Robin, an assistant store manager, even called the cops on her for complaining about their rude treatment and lack of cooperation in apprehending the other customer for identification. She did nothing about the other customer that had injured her. Then Sedgwick denied her injury claim for strict liability. She plays guitar and this has disabled her right hand. We are hiring an attorney to sue them. They don't give a damn about us. It's unusual to see any company where every single review without a single exception is one star, that wished he could have given them negative stars, but here it is. read more

If you need something that you can't get at a more local store or need it after hours, I get it. Otherwise, I'd steer clear. In particular, be VERY careful if you have to rent a tool from them. Unlike United or one of the outfits that are clear about what the total cost will be, I was told the wrong prices and not told about the mandatory insurance until I returned the tool and my $100 rental wound up at $150! Places like Country-Wide may not have the hours and variety but they know their business and can really help you out. read more

No help. Lazy , scared , and confused once you find help. Last few years I have been buying most of my tools for my construction business from Amazon. Today I needed about 1500$ worth of tools , nobody to help. Once I figured it out myself , no product. I know I don't matter , but these stores are loosing business to Amazon. , it not price. I will pay more not to deal with the worthless people working in the stores. So frustrating. Use to love this store. What a waste of my time. I feel for home depot. Sales associates are dead inside, unfriendly and no help whatsoever. Just to summarize our experience, we planned to walk in and walk out because we already knew what we wanted. The product we wanted needed to be handled by an associate so we asked one of the ladies up front by the self checkout if she could send someone over. She said she would but ended up having a 5 minute conversation with another employee -- seems like she instantly forgot what she needed to do and decided it would be better to slack off. After about 15 minutes of asking multiple workers who could help us, a male sales associate finally ended up calling a manager who reluctantly solved our issue. On more than one occasion they've had items displayed with a lower cost than what rang up and one of those times they would not give me the tag price. Worst customer service! Employees will stare, but not help and will actually walk away if a customer approaches the employee. There are a few exceptions but too little, too late. In January, I couldn't find anyone to help me in the store with custom blinds. When I called, not one answer. I purchased from a different company. I thought I would try again recently, with a different department. Argh..exact same experience. Go to the store, not one employee would help me in flooring. I just got off the line the guy in electrical picked up the line but was still having a conversation with someone else. Why do I always go back? I swear it took me longer to find a salesperson to help me than it did to finish my project. I can't stress enough how really bad their service is. I go to Osh (Orchard Supply) when I need help with my projects and ONLY go to HD when I need more choices. Giving this a one star rating due to customer service. I don't normally visit this one but I had a online store pickup order. I walked over to the order pick up counter. Someone had just walked away from being helped and I thought nice I won't have a wait. The girl at the counter was fooling around with the phone, would dial and hang up and dial and hang up, she didn't acknowledge me for about a minute or two. She could have said I'll be right with you or hold on but nope she just acted like she didn't see me. Finally another lady started walking up and that's when she asked if I needed help with something. Ummm yeah, I'm in the pickup order line! Any how, got my order and continued on my way. My BF ended up finding something so since it was a small item we went to self checkout. The card reader didn't read my card and I kept getting an error, finally the "attendant notice" came on. Mind you the clerk was standing there just chatting it up not moving from her register. So after a few seconds BF asked her for help and she responded with "on the third error it will ask you to swipe" and turned back around. Wtf! If they knew this ahead of time inform the damn customer. It had plenty of other signs that said cash only, does not give change, etc. but nothing to say the card reader has issues! It's self check out which means one usually wants to get out quicker. I would have probably had better success at a regular register. This Clovis location is newer and cleaner than the Fresno location. Its the same store, just arranged different!!! The service clerk was nice, but didnt go out of her way to help us. We had to wait for 10 minutes only for her to come tell us that they didnt have what we were looking for. Had to go to the other chain store to find what we were looking for!!!! read more

Terriblel Service! Went looking for a Sump Pump, it took me going trough about 6 employees to get some help. Nobody knows anything at this store. Also bought a bunch of stuff and wanted to return the unused supplies and hardware like knobs, locks, handles, etc. and a pressure washer, about $500 worth of stuff I didn't need but since I didn't have the receipt, the cashier only allowed me to return $40 in store credit. I had gone trough this once before and even though Home Depot is near my house, I would just drive all the way to Lowe's jus to avoid headaches. One time I bougth a porcelain refinishing kit, never used it, paid close to $40 for it, went back weeks later to return it and they told me I had not bought this at this store, unfortunately I didn't have the receipt but the item was new, never used.....TERRIBLE TERRIBLE STORE...GO TO LOWE'S, ORCHARD OR ANY OTHER PLACE. read more

I usually go to Lowe's instead of this Home Depot. Lowe's typically has better selection for the types of items that I need for work and home. They also have much friendlier and knowledgeable employees. I do find myself going to Home Depot on occasion, and each time I find myself reminded of why I prefer going to Lowe's. My last trip to this Home Depot was because I was in search of melamine to build some shelving in my closet in December 2016. Lowe's didn't have any with shelf holes pre-drilled into it so I made the trip to Home Depot. I found the product at the store without too much searching. However, it was too long. "No worry," I thought, as they have the panel saw to cut material like this. I waited several minutes near the saw, waiting for an employee to come near. No one came so I went in search myself. I finally found a man who was walking toward the lumber and asked if he would help. He responded in such a way as to let me know that he really didn't feel like helping me. As soon as I showed him my cart he said something along the lines of "Oh yeah. Yeah I can't cut this. We aren't allowed to because it will uh.. it will dull the blade. You're going to have to do it yourself." I thanked him anyway and took the material home and cut it myself. For anyone unaware, melamine is basically particle board with a white coating. If a saw can't cut through that then it's an awful saw. I have a hard time believing that he himself was so uninformed that he didn't know what the material was and am more inclined to believe he was just lazy and thought I was too stupid to know any better. If it really is Home Depot's position not to cut melamine, I suggest the company find more durable blades for their saws as my cheap skilsaw cut through it like butter. It glides as smoothly as anything I've ever cut on a table saw, as well. As I mentioned, this was only the most recent reminder of the terrible service I've received here. Employees often seem to have an entire lack of concern for what the customers need. It's possible that management here doesn't properly staff the facility and the employees are under a lot of stress. Either way, the service here isn't very good. I did give two stars because I've received decent help in the appliance department here before. They also have a decent selection of hardwoods, especially compared to Lowe's, which really only seems to stock red oak, pine, and poplar for the most part. I also think Ridgid makes solid tools and Home Depot is the only place to find them. That being said, if I can find anything I need at a location other than this Home Depot, I will certainly pick it up there instead. read more

However this home depot is a little messy, especially the back isle, with stuff blocking the aisle, pretty dangerous in my opinion. In addition the only check out lanes open are the self check out ones. Need more service lanes to checkout these huge things. Not one of the better Home Depot experiences, but it will do. It's easy to write a negative review of a Home Depot. Rarely would you have a great experience at one, mostly because you're on your own. But the times I've tracked someone down and asked for help I've been helped, sometimes with fairly technical advice. My main gripe is how they typically only have one checker lane open and try to steer you to those infernal self-checkout kiosks. That's so cheap, and definitely the worst thing about this store. The Home Depot located in Clovis has an amazing staff at the Pro Desk station. Nicole is one of the few people at the Pro Desk that actually knows what she is doing. I always go out of my way to drive to this HD, just to get my bulk order because of her. She's super fast in making the order and double checks her work. This location needs a dramatic face lift. When I go in I feel overwhelmed by so many different items. It feels like a second hand store nothing tells a story for what section I'm in. Half of there displayed product is out together half completed. The only good thing is the door greater but she needs to ask what someone is looking for and where to find it. Usually when I shop there I don't have any problems, unfortunately while shopping there today I had terrible service! I payed 700$ for a pallet of rapid set concrete then sat for 2 hours in the parking lot waiting to get loaded! I went inside and ask multiple times if they were going to load me, they said yeah in just a minute, only to go back out and wait long waits with still nothing. Finally being frustrated I decided to get a orange cart and did 3 trips into the store and hand loaded 50 bags on and off to my truck by myself while they watched, and never offered any help. Then to top it off I left the pallet there which i paid for! So I lost 2 hours of my time and 2 other guys time which were waiting on me at a job site!, And a 15$ pallet. Wouldn't recommend going to Home Depot and count on them to load you with anything or give you service, unless you have nothing better to do with your life but sit in the parking lot all day. read more

I bought a dishwasher on the 4th of October paid for dishwasher, installation kit, delivery, installation, warranty, and take away. The soonest delivery was today the 22nd. I got a robo call telling me the delivery install would be between 2 and 6 pm. I had to take off work and make arrangements to have someone pick up my child at school. I'm ok with that what I am not OK with is at 4:00 pm I get a phone call from the driver that they have my dishwasher but no install kit, Do I want it delivered and reschedule installation, or reschedule delivery and installation both. They could have given me that option in the morning so I did not have to take off work. I asked him when it could be installed he said Saturday or Monday. I told him I cant afford to take off work if they could do Saturday I would appreciate it. I get a phone call from a Bitch who tells me she has a opening on the 29th, do I want it or not? I will never do business with HOME DEPOT EVER AGAIN or their contracted delivery installers RICHIE TRUCKING CO. I have never been treated so horribly in my life by someone whom I actually paid to do a service. I will make sure I tell every friend, every business associate, every veteran association, every Union association, PTA, and Community association I am affiliated with that Home Depot does not appreciate the business of hard working Americans, they do not value their customers, don't shop there and definitely don't have anything delivered or installed. read more
