This Home Depot is the closest home improvement store to my house. To be honest, I'm a loyal LOWES customer, but if I need something quick, this is my store. For the most part I can generally find what I want/need. The first time I visited I was taken aback by the amount of 'day workers' hanging around the store. I assume they're looking for work. I purchased a few rolls of sod on one occasion and they were sitting on the rolls outside. I had to ask them to move to get my rolls, which was a bit uncomfortable. That's my main negative view of this Home Depot as that area is covered with litter. Anyway, that's not the actual store, but I can see that keeping customers away. I've found help when needed/asked, but for the most part I'm in and out. I usually know what I want, know where to find it, and I'm out the door. I was looking for plant stands on my most recent trip. They did have a few nice ones, but they did not match my decor. I did find a nice pot to replant my snake plant. read more

Also it's a bummer they don't take Apple Pay. The sings are pretty small in the self checkout area so I waisted a trip. had good experiences recently in-store, but today has really made me rethink ever shopping with Home Depot again. Purchased a dishwasher and paid extra for install and removal. waited a week for delivery, was supposed to get a call day before, no call. email arrived with a window of 7:30am-11am. no show. Finally called about 12:45, said they would be 10 min, map showed them 1 block from my house. 40 min later, they arrived. refused to install the unit because 'the floor was uneven and we could damage your house'. the floor under the counter is not uneven. The 1/2 in hardwood floor just stops at the opening. This seems excessively nitpicky, and was not made clear during purchase or before delivery. The delivery team refused to take the old one and leave the new. Now a week later I'm left hanging. Thanks HD, never again. Go elsewhere for your appliances, shop local, you'll get better service. read more

Came in. Demanded the water be shut off and the front door removed. We shut off water and while we were unscrewing the hinges off the front door, they advised they would be out front.  Presumably to get our new fridge and water line.   It took a few minutes to get the door off and while waiting for them they left. No word no nothing just left.  I tried to call the number from the text and left messages.  I texted and nothing.  We sat at our front of our home with no door attached and called home depot at 800-455-3869.  We were disconnected 3 times and was on hold with Alicia for 1.47 minutes.  All to learn that even though it was 537pm and we had a window of 3pm to 7pm they would not be returning.   So we still have no refridgerator.  No return delivery and JB Hunt truck service number Alicia gave me was for some guy who works for BGE.   443-943- 5420.  What is your plan to make this right? We plan to contact BBB. we also have wasted no time telling anyone who will listen about this unacceptable debacle.   We were planning on having hard wood floors installed by HD and have 2 bathrooms redone as well.  However, by this debacle of just trying to get a newly purchased refridgerator, you can be certain we will no longer be using HD for anything.   I will await a response as well as how this is going to be rectified.  Andrea and Michael Merchant read more

I kinda agree with most of the negative reviews here. This location has a problem with customer service. No one even greets you when you walk in which is weird because other Home Depot's do. You barely can find a helpful employee in the store. The few I did find were almost no help at all. The hardware guy working in the tool section didn't even know what a "Shopfan" is. Really???? Most of the stuff rang up different prices at the register which means the employees are slacking on updating the price stickers. Had to escalate to the asst manager just to get the correct price. The store is fully stocked but the employees are something else. Also a lot of the aisles were blocked with stuff to which you can get a shopping cart down. Also the customer base here is nowhere near middle class. 20% of the people are walking around with there pants hanging down like they're in the ghetto or something. Lastly. Be very careful parking and backing up here. While I was exiting the store. I literally seen a guy go out of his way to get behind a car while a old lady was backing up. She seen him and slammed on the brakes. But people around just said WoW. Overall this is a last resort Home Depot vs the others. read more

I was greeted without a smile & my business seemed to be an inconvenience by "Renee" at the customer service desk. A male representative whose first name starts with a "T" sent me on a wild goose chase throughout the store, which was exactly what I didn't need after a week worth of moving out. When I ran into "T" again, he still didn't know where to find the item I was looking for & referred me to my phone (I thought I was he customer & he was paid to help customers...I'll look for MY check in the mail.). Rich, the Manager loudly proclaimed he was overwhelmed with 5 other customers. (Not a representative text book example of customer service for someone in a leadership role.) Thank goodness for Nichole & Susie who exhibited the ability to remain calm under pressure, diffuse customer's who have had a less than stellar customer service experience, as well being a textbook example of going above & beyond! We all know customer service has significantly deteriorated in the #postCOVIDworld, it's great to see shining stars like Nicole and Susie & perhaps their ability to remain cool under pressure & recognize without customer service there are no customers, thus no revenue, would make them more fitting managers and revamp the negative Rich has created & allowed to continue throughout the store. This review is for the Nursery at Home Depot. This spring, I decided to finally start a balcony garden in my Baltimore apartment. I did a lot of googling but was still a little lost on how to start a balcony garden (especially since my balcony doesn't get much sun). At Home Depot, two of the workers (Baltimore Bill and Kevin) were absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful! They were very generous with their time in helping my pick out the proper plants, pots, and soil to start the garden. They were incredibly friendly and made this a very fun experience. Bill has a great sense of humor. I'll definitely be coming back as I tend to and grow my garden! read more

The items are fine. Customer service okay. But there's literally no reason why I should have to wait 30 minutes in line to walk out with an item that I've already purchased online. There should be a quick checkout option for something larger than a locker can fit in. Why is there only ONE line for anything customer service related? I'm upping my review....manager in appliance section took care of the delivery issue. After a lack of effort to deliver to my house last week, I did receive my washer & dryer combo this week. Horrible service. Return desk has a horrible setup, confusing no one wants to work. There's 4 employees at the return/customer service desk and only one person is accepting customers despite the line. They ignore you when you ask questions. There's no clear understating on where to stand for order pickup, the signs are confusing so I asked one of the employees just standing there not working and he didn't know. Yes that's correct he didn't know where to stand in line for customer service. The contractors checkout line is always extremely long to the pint where you can't even walk by. Find a way to make checkout more efficient. Have an employee walk and check out out those using a Credit card. Who manages this place? There is a disregard for customer service . This is the biggest Home Depot I know of in the area and the one I like to hit up the most. Really never have any issues parking since the lot is huge and as big as the store is I feel like every time I walk in someone is asking me how they can help and direct me to any of the like 3 billion aisles in the store. Last time I was in there a bunch of stuff needed to be restocked in the moving section (Aisle 32 I think?) but for all I know they were working on it or it was the day new shipments come in. At checkout the staff was really good about helping my buddy and I split our orders up and get stuff to the car. read more

I work in a hospital laboratory. Over the weekend, our bleach was removed from the laboratory. Upon lab machine failure, I was prompted to start a bleach rinse of the machine. This is when I realized someone took lab's bleach, not knowing it's vital laboratory purpose. I figured there's NO way anyone is going to have bleach during COVID. Home Depot did, I called and asked. I got there and there was a line around the building. I really need this bleach get my CBC machine functional. I asked the guys at the door if I could sneak in. Understandably they said I'd have to wait in line. I couldn't sadly, I was using my lunch break to get the bleach. So I thanked the guys and went to my car. I thought I'd call the store and explain my situation. A very nice lady promptly met me outside and escorted me to the bleach. I'm about to start fixing the CBC machines now so the lab can be fully functional. Just taking a breather during a 13 hour shift. I had to write this review tho. The worst Home Depot I've ever visited! I stopped in today for some chain. I recently had surgery so I am on crutches. I assumed an employee would assist a little..I was wrong. I found the chain I needed and an employee cut it to the length I needed. I then asked if he could carry it to the register for me because it was heavier than I anticipated. You would have thought I asked him to murder someone. He reluctantly did it and then left. I paid for it and then asked the employee at the register if there was someone who could carry it to my truck. She said no one was available. She then proceeded to get me a cart and put the chain in the cart. She then watched as I pushed the cart a few feet and then caught up with it on my crutches, shoved it a few more feet and chased it. You get the picture. I repeated this process out the door and about 50 yards across the parking lot. Finally, another customer offered to assist and pushed the cart the remaining distance to my truck. Not once did any employee offer to assist. Disgusting! I will never patron this location again. I will stick with my regular Golden RIng store. read more

I'm not sure why this location has such horrible reviews. Every time I go in the store at least 4 people ask me if I need help finding something. I've stopped multiple employees who have walked me to the item I needed and helped me figure out how to use it. They usually have what I need in stock and multiple options depending on what I'm looking for. Since I'm a new home owner I spend a good amount of time in big box hardware stores and I've been pretty impressed with this one. They have even been pretty helpful when it comes to returns when I buy things just to see if it will work out. read more

She treated me like a thief and said they needed to look at the security cameras in order to give it to me even though we had the receipt. This was one of the nicest hardware stores that I've been to in a while. After spending half an hour at Lowe's looking at their selection of drywall anchors, screws, and bolts, we gave up and came here. Glad we did. I was able to find the 8x40mm bolts in black to mount our TV plus plenty of drywall anchors with screws that matched. There was also more helpful employees and the prices were lower. As a bonus, it's much closer to Fell's Point and there's a nice Polish store a few blocks away. I only took away a star because they don't take mobile payment. No Android Pay/Apple pay. In 2018, it's embarrassing for a company this size not to take mobile payment. read more

Like pretty much all the other reviews here it boils down to the staff. Most of them do not know much about the department they are working for. I came here and was in a rush, so I asked the guy at the door saying hello to everyone where the the faucet valves were / what aisle is plumbing.... he said "I dont know... what is a faucet valve... I am not sure we carry those." Are you kidding me dude? GTFO here Done expect great customer service or helpful advice. I'm pretty sure the people working here are just to restock and organize the shelves. So know what you want before you go in. Although this Home Depot is no different from others in many ways (see my review of the one in Parkville), this particular location has been our one-stop place for Christmas trees for several years in a row. Selection has been pleasing whether you come early or late in the tree-purchasing season and, if you ask, they'll even help you strap down the purchase (presumably, being a girl helps but they have done it for dudes with families, too). The employees are really responsive so when I had a door lock problem, my issue was solved pronto and I was able to return victoriously within an hour with a re-keyed lock. My only 'but' about this store is that, on occasion, they unexpectedly close early. Granted, this was probably a once in a blue moon situation but give them a quick ring to confirm hours especially on weekends. read more

I'm only knocking off a star due to the fact that once the outdoor blinds are gone, they're gone, and my family and I don't always have the time to go to Rosedale and get blinds. I do enjoy the plant sections, but they tend to overwater the plants (another reason for the 4 stars). I recommend the plants inside more than the ones outside, because bugs tend to eat the plants and the heat gets to some of them too, causing them to die quicker. Their indoor plants are pretty good, I normally get my cacti from here as well. read more

My husband and I went in tonight to get a 2x4 cut down. After 25 minutes, 8 calls to customer service (which they stopped answering after 5 minutes) and stopping about a dozen employees, someone finally showed to cut the board. Then came the real fun: the cashier wanted to charge us twice for the board and my husband had to repeatedly explain to her it was a board that had been cut down. What we thought was going to be a 10 minute shopping trip turned into 40 minutes of incompetency and rudeness. We won't be back. read more

The customer service in this store is non-existent and so bad that it is almost humorous. I have shopped at this location frequently and over the past several months service went from bad to worse. I have been sent to the wrong isles many times, given bad information, overcharged and more. The disrespect and lack of helpfulness of the staff is incredible. When I asked where an accessory to an item they sold was, I was told they did not know what was compatible and I "get what they have". The manager was not any more helpful. Lowes... With the exception of Ms. Linda in appliances department, I was flabbergasted by the lackluster customer service and timing. The delivery men, although nice, left pieces and garbage on the floor, it was not fully/properly installed, did not show me how to turn on/start my washer & dryer, a factory first wash was run which I noticed after the dryer was carried downstairs but my warranty and manual were inside! The dryer vent foil was not long enough they just left it, I went back to home depot afterwards and had to buy another, did I not pay for this why is it not exchangeable?! I ordered the wrong fridge, my mistake however, I was nonchalantly told of the MAJOR delayed in refund and the subsequent delivery delay; with all this and the lackluster customer service afterwards, I actually went to loews to buy my fridge and was beyond ecstatic-- great service, similar price, and delivered it to me the following day! Outside of a quick shopping trip for generic items, I won't be returning here for large purchases **corporate office is beyond helpful and helped solve my issues/assure my concerns. read more

Awful customer service. I ordered a washer and dryer and a stove. On delivery day there was a problem with our outlet for the dryer. We had taken photos when we purchased the products and were reassured that everything was fine. However on delivery day the delivery service said we needed an electrician. I was so confused and upset. Home Depot would not answer the phone. The delivery people reloaded everything. Would not even leave my stove, which was fine to go in. I had to drive back and forth ti Home Depot several times to figure out what was going on. So we had a 50 amp outlet instead of a 30. We had it changed Sunday since the manager said he call the delivery person and have everything sent back. Nope! They canceled everything! They have 3,000 dollars of our money and our products! I am out 200 dollars for the electrical work and will have to pay him again to have it changed back until they fix all the issues. They can not give our money back until my husband is back from Florida with his dad. And that could be weeks. This is a huge fail! read more

It's my local Home Depot, they have all your home repair/improvement needs. seems like they have stepped up their customer service lately, lots of " can I help you with anything" like it used to be years ago. I like that they have opened up the power tooling area and in general making it easier to shop. Despite my inane questioning the flooring guy was especially helpful yesterday. Came into the store on 11/4 and they can't tell me where the order is. Maybe it's on one of the two backed up trucks, maybe they sold it to another customer.
