I was very unsure which area to stay in, but I'm so happy I chose CCB because the location is absolutely perfect. Back Bay is very nice and safe. You even have a wonderful park just outside the doorstep to walk around, and the lovely Boston Commons only two blocks away. Check-in/out was one of the most seamless experiences I've had with hotels/airbnbs. I didn't have to check in with anyone, and I received the door code a few days before. They have a lovely dining room for guests with homemade cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I'm sure it's great too. CCB is really the perfect mix of a hotel and bed/breakfast. I was unsure about doing the solo room with a shared bathroom, but other than having to wait for the other guest to finish his shower so I could take an urgent bio break, it was no issue at all and I would hands down do it again. I'm pretty sure the other floors have a bathroom if you absolutely need it though. For the location, price, comfort, and amenities, College Club of Boston is a no brainer. I got the please to quickly meet the GM on my way out, and she is super sweet. I even left my airpods in the room, and without hesitation they are shipping them back to me. 5 starts forsure.

The venue itself was breathtakingly beautiful, clean, and presentable. We requested a charcuterie board, champagne, and fruit platter, and it was stunningly displayed and high quality. As we arrived two hours early, we called them to let them know we parked our car in the back and went off to our big adventure in Boston. They were so understanding. They just stated stay out and have fun. See you when you get here. Who does that now? Big thanks to their magnificent hearts. Onto the room. We secured the one downstairs closest to the kitchen. It was absolutely charming. James showed us how to work the tv. The room was cozy and they even supplied facial soap, body gel and shampoo and conditioner. No need to bring a hairdryer. It comes with the room. Breakfast was amazing. Dympna is a wonderful cook. She had quiches, granola, yogurt, tea/coffee, crepes, scones, muffins and fruit. I ate at a barrage of b&b. This is on the top three of my list. She offers you a goodie bag so you can continue nibbling as you sight see. You want to get away, make sure it's to this b&b. It's a great place to stay. Just know minimum stay is two nights. We will be back.

Our room was very spacious and clean. But the best part of staying here was by far the delicious breakfasts Dympna prepared every morning. I loved waking up to the smell of scones or muffins baking away downstairs. I'm usually not a breakfast person but I just had to try everything she prepared and everything was was so good. It was very enjoyable to to talk to Dympna and James over breakfasts to hear how they found this house and turned it into a B&B. After the first morning, they felt like old friends. They also provided great advice on what to see/do and how to get around. James and Dympna and very gracious hosts and made our trip the relaxing get-away it was meant to be. I will stay here every time I return to Boston!

I'd recommend it to anyone who needs somewhere to stay in Boston whilst on business or visiting a friend. Highly praised in Time Out's guide to Boston, this Fenway brownstone house did not disappoint at all. The interior is lovingly kept in original 19 century decor and Florence has an amazing collection of dolls as well as a whole room for her shoes and hats. At 80 dollars a night it was a bargain for a truly special room that could well have been in a museum. The bathroom was hip with a great toilet, and it was conveniently close to several T stops. The real gem though was Ms Frances, who was truly charming and had quite amazing stories. She has flags for every guest to show their nationality, and of the 50 or so flags she owns she's been to pretty much every country - including Iran. An introduction to her hat collection is quite a treat too. What a life she has led! She even had a free guest pass for me for the Museum of Fine Arts.

The B&B is just large enough for about three couples: with three rooms and three parking spaces. Each room is on a different floor of the three story house, so you feel as though you have a quiet area all to yourself, but still get to meet interesting people and socialize with the proprietor at breakfast. The room we stayed in (M&M) was very homey, clean, and comfortable. It was quiet at night despite being off a busy street. I can't say enough good things about Josephine's: it was an easy location to find, right near the beach/bay and wonderful hiking at World's End. One of the only minor things was that mini shampoos were not provided (only aromatherapy body scrub), not that I expected any, so that doesn't take away any stars in my mind. Highly recommend!

It's in a scenic area with easy access to the ferry (if you're headed to Boston or the airport) and other pretty areas to explore. Annmarie generously shared recommendations of her favorite restaurants, printed out directions for our destinations, and was also eager to investigate special areas of interest to us. We look forward to returning!

No one batted an eye at my partner's Looney Tunes t-shirt and shorts. I was better dressed (...definitely the Odd Couple), and we were both made to feel welcome. The cocktails were made well, and the table service was at a good pace--not rushed, but not dragged-on unnecessarily. The food was also quite good. The portions were right-sized, which was appreciated since our B&B did not have a refrigerator in the room. Though I no longer remember what we had (...probably lamb for me and Bolognese for my partner), I do remember that it was a good representation of the advertised dish--not some high concept, deconstructed bullsh*t. The desert martinis were more memorable than whatever cake we chose, but--again--I can't remember the desert being bad, just forgettable. The price was comparable to restaurants in the surrounding area, and the staff were 'easy on the eyes', so we'll be back the next time we're up that way.
