Little place of paradise!…read more Last week I had the privilege of being the guest of Wellesley Bed& Breakfast and meet the lovely Ms. Margot. The inn is a small place of paradise situated in the heart of Wellesley. The location is prefect not only from a practical point of view: lots of restaurants, shops, 1 min walking distance from the commuter train to Boston, but also for aesthetics reasons. If you want a place that is quiet, surrounded by beautiful scenery, that's the place to go, especially given the fact that the prices are very small and the quality of the place is far superior then the price charged. I stayed in the Royalty Room, which was perfectly and tastefully decorated with all the extras you may think you need; fully deserving of its name. And the breakfast ...you have to try that waffle.....talking about melting in your mouth, out of this world waffle! I have to mention Ms. Margot as well. Given that was my first visit to US I didn't know what to expect, but I met Ms. Margot. She is truly amazing. I felt that I was visiting a dear friend, even if we never met before. The room we stayed in (M&M) was very homey, clean, and comfortable. It was quiet at night despite being off a busy street. I can't say enough good things about Josephine's: it was an easy location to find, right near the beach/bay and wonderful hiking at World's End. One of the only minor things was that mini shampoos were not provided (only aromatherapy body scrub), not that I expected any, so that doesn't take away any stars in my mind. Highly recommend!

It's run by about one person with a couple staff for help, but he is the only person who books people and gets payment. You have to catch him at just the right time as there is not really an office or a front desk to this place and her takes all the calls to his personal phone it seems. Upon arrival, check in is quite simple. The door to the building (a renovated house) has a keypad on it, so you can only get in with a code which is great. The room is unlocked when you get there and the keys are left on a counter for you to then use as you may. They have several rooms depending on the duration of your stay and if you want a private bath, but I stayed in Room 3. It was quite nice!! It had a whole living room to myself with a little closet, a TV, a small kitchenette with a sink, microwave, and a mini fridge. They give you dish soap and provide some bowls, plates, cups, and even some wine glasses. The bedroom was spacious, had a nice bedside table deal with plenty of outlets nearby, and an expansive cabinet for you clothes and a nice desk. The bathroom is small, but fits everything you really need. All the rooms were quite clean upon arrival. It was a clean facility and a super good location, right next to Coolidge Corner and the T line, IN walking distance of a Trader Joe's, a pharmacy store, and some other fun shops, For the affordable price, I definitely would recommend this place!!!

I came to stay in Boston for 4 weeks for work purposes and we thought that the Marion Inn seemed like a nice place to stay long term. My first impression was that it was a little run down, but I am honestly not picky. As long as a place is clean and relatively quiet, I don't really care about much else. Upon further inspection there was a mildewy plastic mat in the shower, the window a/c unit was so old, loud and obnoxious that I barely slept that night and everything was just very dingy-looking. I was relatively ok until the next morning when I woke up to shreds of my unopened chip bag completely ripped open by mice.... there was no denying the evidence. During my panic is when I discovered the droppings on the kitchen table..... please don't stay here. Unless you don't mind fuzzy visitors. My work was generous enough to get me out of there immediately and put me in a beautiful B&B a couple blocks away (the Bertram Inn - DEFINITELY stay here, huge improvement from Marion Inn). We were booked through a third party who refunded the rest of the stay and were apologetic, but I also found another review on this place that found rodents in their room and the inn keeper didn't even sound phased. I would wholeheartedly not recommend staying here until they take care of their rodent issue. They also are not inexpensive, so nothing really adds up.

It had all the essentials including linens and a fully stocked kitchen. To my surprise, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, and trash bags were available to my use as well. An added bonus when staying somewhere for that long. Laundry facilities were available to my use as well as street parking. Terry the host was beyond helpful and accommodating. If something was broken, he was quick to fix. Also quick to respond on texts/phone calls. There is a T stop on the orange line within walking distance as well as restaurants and a grocery store. The two complaints I have of this location is that the walls/floors are very thin. You're able to hear any sort of movement in the apartment upstairs. And second, the doors are all keyless entry which makes things a lot easier, however, I think the codes should be changed frequently for a security measure. I am not sure if they are chanted currently. I definitely recommend this location and would stay here again if I return to the Boston area.

But more than anything else were the owners - they are unbelievable people, and acted like long-term friends, whenever any request of mine came up. By the end of my stay, all I could think about was how nice it would be to live in an apartment like that with neighbors like that on the street like that. Just incredibly charming, peaceful, and yet with all the comfort amenities, like great TV, air conditioning, kitchen, parking, just everything.... I really couldn't recommend enough, especially if you are a working professional in Boston for an extended stay, or a family needing to be in the area for the local hospitals, which are again only about a 20min *walk* away. I think one thing that says it all is that a few nights into my stay, I found a deck of cards in the drawer next to the bed. I opened it up to play a game, and then saw that people for the past decade or so had been writing their names, and the place they traveled from on the cards. I thought this was a beautiful gesture, that the Inn owners actually had no idea about, but that I hope continues in the years to come. It's clear this place meant a lot to all those people, it meant a lot to me, and I'm sure it will mean a lot to you if you get a chance to stay in the wonderful, one-of-a-kind, Fort Hill Inn.

The house is beautiful and sits right on the beach. There is a huge wrap around porch with a hammock available to sit on and stare at the ocean all day. The house itself is beautifully furnished and well-kept. There is a huge sun porch with a television that faces the ocean; a dining room area; living room area; and three full baths. There's plenty of sleeping space and a variety of single beds for lots of kids. There's two bedrooms in the attic; two on the second floor and plenty of space on the first floor. The second floor also has a deck to sit out on facing the ocean. The house is literally on the beach and close walking distance to the main street of Hull. Come to Hull, stay here.

The check-in procedure was clearly explained before we arrived via email, and the directions were all easy to follow. The houseboat we had (Lyra was the name) easily accommodated our party of four and could have held another person. There were plenty of towels and extra blankets, the kitchen was stocked with basic dishes and some simple food items, the heat worked nicely during the cooler weather we had, and there was a two-story deck outside for sunbathing. There were only a few things I would have changed to make our stay even better. The first would be better lighting and some sort of extension cord for the loft sleeping area. I was unable to sleep near my charging phone and had to keep plugging it in during the day, an annoyance for anyone using their phone for an alarm. I would also have put a dish towel in the kitchen (since you're supposed to wash and dry any dishes you use during your stay) and supplied enough toilet paper for the amount of people planning on staying. Other than that staying on the Lyra was a lot of fun, and I'd gladly do it again if the opportunity ever arises.

But, time between buses is too long. (for this reason, we wouldn't stay again) Sofa bed mattress is very uncomfortable A/C couldn't keep up
