An amazing bed and breakfast run by an amazing lady, this was my first 'home' in Boston when I came…read moreover for a few nights for my interview. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs somewhere to stay in Boston whilst on business or visiting a friend. Highly praised in Time Out's guide to Boston, this Fenway brownstone house did not disappoint at all. The interior is lovingly kept in original 19 century decor and Florence has an amazing collection of dolls as well as a whole room for her shoes and hats. At 80 dollars a night it was a bargain for a truly special room that could well have been in a museum. The bathroom was hip with a great toilet, and it was conveniently close to several T stops. The real gem though was Ms Frances, who was truly charming and had quite amazing stories. She has flags for every guest to show their nationality, and of the 50 or so flags she owns she's been to pretty much every country - including Iran. An introduction to her hat collection is quite a treat too. What a life she has led! She even had a free guest pass for me for the Museum of Fine Arts.

Mrs Frances is a perfect host and she can be at the same time discrete and full of attentions for her guests. There is a small but lovely Coffe House (Tatte) with free WiFi very close to it. I was very unsure which area to stay in, but I'm so happy I chose CCB because the location is absolutely perfect. Back Bay is very nice and safe. You even have a wonderful park just outside the doorstep to walk around, and the lovely Boston Commons only two blocks away. Check-in/out was one of the most seamless experiences I've had with hotels/airbnbs. I didn't have to check in with anyone, and I received the door code a few days before. They have a lovely dining room for guests with homemade cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I'm sure it's great too. CCB is really the perfect mix of a hotel and bed/breakfast. I was unsure about doing the solo room with a shared bathroom, but other than having to wait for the other guest to finish his shower so I could take an urgent bio break, it was no issue at all and I would hands down do it again. I'm pretty sure the other floors have a bathroom if you absolutely need it though. For the location, price, comfort, and amenities, College Club of Boston is a no brainer. I got the please to quickly meet the GM on my way out, and she is super sweet. I even left my airpods in the room, and without hesitation they are shipping them back to me. 5 starts forsure.

The venue itself was breathtakingly beautiful, clean, and presentable. We requested a charcuterie board, champagne, and fruit platter, and it was stunningly displayed and high quality. We were on our way out to Fenway, so the friendly gentleman at the front desk was kind enough to give us walking directions after he showed us around the guest spaces and our room. Location: 5 : an easy 10 minute walk to Fenway, a 12 minute walk to the Commons. A wealth of eating options, safe secure and walkable in every direction. Room: 5 Our room was impeccable with impressive personal touches and attention to detail. Little things like Fiji water, fresh soft towels (and a black towel for makeup), full array of toiletries, and a welcoming comfortable firm bed. Despite having alllll the things to do in Boston, I was excited to get back to that room and that bed, and I slept like a log. I like a good bed when I'm traveling and I would never stay at another place if I had the option. My favorite aspect was having a separate bedroom and living area (with pull out couch). All things comparable, I've stayed in a thousand hotels, I've traveled Boston thoroughly. This will be my go-to forever. Whether traveling single, as a couple, or with my kids, I will look at 284 first and foremost. Kid-friendly: yes! I would definitely stay here with my kids (ages 9, 11, 13). Safe, fun, welcoming, and wallet-friendly. Special bonus and wow impression: each room is themed after a different artist. I love love love this concept and intrigued me a thousand times over. I ave a personal goal to stay in every room now.

I was in the room the whole time though. I stayed about a week in Nov. It's like a 5-10 min walk from the convention center. There is pastries and bagels and milk for breakfast and other items. There's a fridge you can use. There's like a rule to put your name on your stuff if you use the fridge. I didn't follow the rule. I just bought a beer and put it in there and drank it the next day. No big problem. I think my favorite part was that on the day I was checking out they let me leave my carry on bag and backpack and I could come back for it later. I would definitely stay here again. I got the chance to explore the backbay area of Boston. This places isn't a five star hotel but I think it's five star for the type of place that it is. Back to my favorite part, on the day when I checked out I was able to check out and go out for a huge walk and come back and pick up my stuff.

The management was not…read morehelpful, my concerns were not handled professionally, and the customer service was far below my expectations. When I arrived, the reservationist was 30 minutes late. I was waiting at the door, and when another guest arrived, I was able to enter the property, but the reservationist still had not arrived. After waiting for 30 minutes, I called him, and when he finally came, he spoke to me in a very rude tone and said that this delay was "normal." After sleeping in my room for about two hours, I realized that the room was extremely cold. My entire body was shaking because of the low temperature. I contacted the reception to ask for assistance, but instead of helping me, the staff spoke to me disrespectfully, insulted me, and made fun of my situation. I was polite throughout the conversation, but the receptionist responded with a rude attitude and laughed at my concerns. Because the situation became unacceptable, I called the police for assistance. After the police arrived, the hostel staff forced me to leave the property and refused to refund my money. They also behaved aggressively toward me and attempted to intimidate me. I have videos documenting the entire incident. I also contacted Booking.com regarding this issue, but they have not provided any effective solution so far. I strongly do not recommend this hostel. The property is not a safe or comfortable place to stay. The cleanliness was poor, the treatment of guests was disrespectful, and the management failed to handle a simple customer complaint professionally. Some other reviews mention that guests were not respectful toward the staff. However, when a room is so cold that a guest is physically shaking, is it reasonable to consider that temperature comfortable? Not everyone has the same tolerance for cold, and guests should not have to pay for a room without proper heating or a suitable solution. I was treated unfairly despite trying to communicate politely. The hostel told me that I had to pay a cancellation fee, they were the ones who removed me from the property. Until this time I didn't receive any money due to the problem that happen for me. The hotel on 14 didn't answer my phone and booking and it is not profesional. This place is not suitable for anyone looking for a safe, clean, and comfortable place to rest. All videos and evidence of this incident are available.

I knew parking would be tough & expensive ($36 a night) must reserve in advance. We ended up parking on the street, the Inn provided a Pass so no issues other than covered in dust from construction going on. We were able to move to a designated spot in the alley the next day. Very tight so leave the big SUV, monster trucks at home. We had a medium size SUV, live in DC area and expect it. Check-in was fairly smooth. Our request for a bottom floor was honored (thankfully) as carrying suitcases up that staircase would have been difficult. So if any physical problems/difficulties with stairs or tight places you may want to look elsewhere. Our room was spacious, with two huge comfortable beds and an enormous TV mounted on wall. The room was clean and the temp was cool even with it being over a 100 outside our whole visit. The bathroom was adequate, with a single sink, not a big fan of the tub/shower as I felt like I was taking a shower in a sandwich bag, but water was hot & cold when needed. We slept well and did not hear much noise from outside or from within as we were in the back of the house. Breakfast was as describe - Grab & go, as there is not much space. Coffee/fruit/and muffins/croissants were out everyday. The Staff was super friendly & helpful, had several conversations with the housekeeper. She was awesome. The best part was location. We walked to Fenway (about 15 mins) also it is located right on the train line (2 min walk) which we used to get around. Boston is an expensive city and parking is limited so $$$ if thinking of driving everywhere. There are several restaurants within walking distance and a H-Mart which made the wife happy. Best price for location and in a Boston neighborhood so you get the full experience, just be prepared for an older building with older building issues. We would stay again if we return to Boston to see what we missed in this amazing city.

With Boston hotels and…read moremotels, so expensive, to find something that's truly in the heart of the city, in (relative) walking distance to Fenway Park and the Boston Garden, I cannot believe how nice the units were. But more than anything else were the owners - they are unbelievable people, and acted like long-term friends, whenever any request of mine came up. By the end of my stay, all I could think about was how nice it would be to live in an apartment like that with neighbors like that on the street like that. Just incredibly charming, peaceful, and yet with all the comfort amenities, like great TV, air conditioning, kitchen, parking, just everything.... I really couldn't recommend enough, especially if you are a working professional in Boston for an extended stay, or a family needing to be in the area for the local hospitals, which are again only about a 20min *walk* away. I think one thing that says it all is that a few nights into my stay, I found a deck of cards in the drawer next to the bed. I opened it up to play a game, and then saw that people for the past decade or so had been writing their names, and the place they traveled from on the cards. I thought this was a beautiful gesture, that the Inn owners actually had no idea about, but that I hope continues in the years to come. It's clear this place meant a lot to all those people, it meant a lot to me, and I'm sure it will mean a lot to you if you get a chance to stay in the wonderful, one-of-a-kind, Fort Hill Inn.
