We arrived after a rain storm so patio was free. Our server, Luke, was fabulous. He was really slammed because his earlier tables moved inside cuz of rain. He didn't miss a beat, just ran around handling it all. BTW, the food was great, fish + chips and Reubens were great. Would go back in a heartbeat but we were just traveling thru the area. read more

Passing through Cranbrook and was looking for a fun, local restaurant with a menu with local flair. We found it! Service was great, nice menu and drink options. Definitely recommend going with the beef teriyaki soup as a side with your meal, it was outstanding. My wife had the cod tacos and they were awesome! Definitely would come back next time I am in Cranbrook! read more

Happy to find this craft brew pub! Excellent food & great bear!! Thanks for the recommendations Jordan @fisherpeakbrewingco. read more

The Heid Out - Cheers! - American Near Me - Cranbrook, British Columbia

Overall good pub food but not quite deserving five stars. The service was good and dining room quirky, but clean. I ordered the schnitzel and husband had Cuban Ruben, both average, both large portions. Good place to visit while traveling from the states, through BC, on our way to Banff. read more

Went to go for a few drinks and the waiter wouldn't serve me because apparently the law is you need your BIRTHDATE on TWO pieces of ID... That is not the law, the second piece is your name and signerature or photo. Check the government websites you idiots. When I asked to speak to the manager the server refused and said "that's the law" So essentially if you want alcohol make sure you have your two pieces of ID that have your birthdate on them because the Hideout is above government standards http://www.servingitright.com/beverage_service_learn_9.html read more

We asked at the front desk of our hotel where would be a good place to eat dinner and the Heid Out was suggested. Delicious food, great service and nice atmosphere! We will definitely visit again when in Cranbrook! The Reuben Sandwich was great as well as the Steak sandwich (minus the bun as one of us is Gluten-free). Their cider was superb! read more

The Heid Out - Great place for food and wonderful service - Cranbrook AB - American Near Me - Cranbrook, British Columbia

A fantastic place to hang out, and the brew their own beer. The ambiance is that of an upscale bistro, the beer and food are excellent. The price can climb quickly depending on menu choices but the quality of the food and drink is worth it. Ive gone in for multiple occasions with multiple crouds/friends and the place was suitable for all of them. The service is usually excellent and the staff will do their best to accomodate ypur needs. The decoration as a hint of history and gives a good overview of some events that happened about a hundred years ago in the city of Cranbrook. I will return to this location for years to come. read more

Excellent food, nice pop looking restaurant with friendly staff. Prices are reasonable for what you get. I had a grilled salmon that was awesome. I give them 4 stars only because they were a bit too slow to give the service read more

Super happy this place exists in Cranbrook because there is literally nothing else with a decent atmosphere and healthy food. Pleasantly surprised with the good service and yummy food. Definitely a great spot to stop for lunch or dinner read more

If you need gluten free in Cranbrook go to the Heidout!!!!! The most choice for those who need gluten free.

Oh we love this beautiful place! Fantastic food, unique and also some older standbys but never boring! Cooked to perfection, served by the best servers, and you can have a beautiful in house brew along with your meal. Servings are generous so you don't leave hungry the deserts are incredible too! Don't miss out on One of Cranbrook's finest, I have never ever had a bad meal here. read more

Spending the night in Cranbrook and was looking for a vegan place. They have a vegan menu as well as the regular one. Had the masala and it was fantastic! And a very filling meal. Wish I had room To try a dessert! read more

Good beer & service really friendly staff, we had lunch here and it was a little underwhelming so decided to come back for drinks before dinner elsewhere. read more

We were always just okay with this place. I vet the 3 years I lived in Cranbrook, we came here a few times. The blonde beer is excellent. The menu changed a few times but nothing really stands out as spectacular-but expensive. read more

Food was great, service was fantastic! We all agreed it was one of the best burgers we've ever had!! read more

My best place to eat in town and has been for quite some time now! Other than Carona and other types of beer available, the Heid-Out also has flights of four beers you can try of the craft beer made on site. Or purchase anything from a glass up to a refillable growler of one of the craft beers. Some of the craft beers can also be purchased in 6-pack cans already cooled and taken home. Wine of various varieties can also be purchased here for your consumption with your meal. The appetizers and entrees are delicious and, in some cases, require a take home box as there's too much to eat in one sitting. Desserts have to be looked at as well as there's some very good items on this menu. Make sure you come with empty stomach, eat slow, enjoy the food, drink, your company, and the ambiance of this great place! read more

The beer is real good. I had a burger burger real good. My spouse had the schnitzel it is in a tomato sauce instead if a cream sauce so it is different and not in a good way. The service in this place is horrible. We were not even there during a peak time. read more

Great dinner, great service. The chief (Rusty) even stopped by to chat. Food was quick and good ... beer was wonderful. Even picked up a six pack to go. Highly recommend. read more

We arrived in Cranbrook around 8:30 Saturday night and were a bit discouraged with our timing since almost all the restaurants closed at 9. But we happened to find this absolute gem, open until 10 as of mid-September. The beer was cold and delicious, the server was friendly, and the schnitzel hit the exact spot. The Covid precautions were also reassuring. We'd absolutely recommend and will go back. read more

Tried the IPA was and then tried the Dark & Stormy, both awesome, great flavour. I had the Masala, hot, it was great as well. The whole group (7 of us) all enjoyed our meals. Great service, thanks Laurenn. Fun evening and a really nice, casual place to be. read more

Absolutely amazing! Everything was incredibly delicious! The flavours have incredible depth and complexity. Came here on a whim and loved it!! Come hungry, the portions are huge!! read more

Fantastic restaurant that really deserves some attention from yelp! We were looking for a place to eat before heading down to Montana, so we stopped by Cranbrook from a quick bite. Heid Out popped up on our yelp search, so we headed over. Yes, this is a brewery and have fantastic microbrews, but you really need to come here for the food, especially the CHAI MILKSHAKE. I have no idea how they do it but it is so decadent, creamy, not overwhelming chai flavored and well balanced that my husband and I had a hard time sharing the milkshake. We both really wanted it to ourselves! read more

We've eaten twice here now, both times on our birthdays . There's a fair choice of their brewed beer, including a sample four glasses at a good price. The menu has been refreshed and yet still includes some old favourites from the old restaurant menu. Both nights' meals were delicious and although the place was extremely busy the first night, the meals arrived very quickly and were just the right amount. The dessert menu is certainly worth a view. Each item is full of flavour and is worth saving space for. The staff serving and cleaning (always cleaning) have been very friendly and helpful, especially in explaining the different beers . The servers always check to see if you need something right up to when you leave your seat, which could be some time after drinking your coffee. This is not a pricy place - the dollar signs should show somewhere between the second and third signs. There are two areas to the Heid Out as suggested by the name. One is a restaurant which allows children and the other area is the lounge which allows no children, has four TVs to watch sports, news, or whatever the whim of the holder of the remotes. The Lounge area has the garage-type doors that fully open overhead, one facing Baker Street and the other facing 9th Avenue (that will now probably stay closed from now until early spring due to winter's arrival). It is in the Lounge you can see behind a sheet of glass, two vats used for making their various blends of beer, pipes going every which-way, a work table, and various other gadgets. Heidi has definitely turned her old one into another great restaurant to cater to Cranbrook and the surrounding area. It's a place we'll enjoy returning. read more

The food is great, the beer is delicious, the atmosphere is fun and our server was fantastic! They have the brewery in the actual building, you can ask to get a tour and they will bring you into the basement to see the whole process from start to finish! We came here last year at the end of the year, the food service was a little slow but it was busy in there and our server let us know that the printer machine was broken or something.. anyway, she apologized a lot but it wasn't a big deal, as the food came out hot and sooo good. We had some spicy pickles to start, then for dinner I had the margherita pizza and my friend had the Big foot burger with yam fries- that thing is HUGE! We sampled the beers in a Flight (you choose 4 brews, you can even try their dry cider on tap) which was a cool and interesting way to try them.. our server explained to us the proper way to drink them to get the best experience, which was neat!! Finally for dessert we had a delicious no-bake lemon cheesecake which totally hit the spot. There is cool heritage art on the walls, tvs to distract you if you want to be distracted, a cozy fireplace, clean bathrooms and even a dining room section so kids can come with families. The only negative thing was when we walked in it seemed like no one noticed us so we just sat down even though a sign said to wait to be seated.. but our server was over right away with menus so I guess was probably just an oversight on their part. Overall I was pretty impressed with what they did to revamp the place from the old Heidis restaurant and would certainly go back to try some of the other beers on the list. read more

Super tasty food! When I was there they had live music going on and the place was bumpin. Fast service for a fancy-ish restaurant! Food was a bit more expensive, but worth it. Highly recommend their poutine and the triple A Alberta beef melt. read more

Great place to have a beer and to have some food. The place looks like a modern saloon with great food. They brew their own beers which taste great! Definitely going back when visiting Cranbrook. read more

Good food and friendly staff. The menu offers a good variety. My only gripe was the price. Over $40C for two sandwiches and sodas. Nonetheless, I would still recommend it. read more

Came for a late night bite and it did not disappoint! We went for the heid out burger with onion rings and arugula salad with beets and goat cheese. Burger was tasty, juicy fresh patty with a spin which was some ham on the burger. They use a ciabatta like bread which I wasn't a huge fan of as a prefer a softer brioche. Onion rings were amazing, perfectly crispy without being oily at all. Arugula salad was very fresh and had the perfect amount of figs, beets and goat cheese. I found the mustard dressing slightly too acidic for my taste but not a big deal since I had it on the side. Service was prompt, ambience was nice. Topped everything off with a couple grapefruit radlers and it made it worth the 30 min drive from Kimberley! read more

The roasted salad with arugula was unique and tasty. The boy had a burger to satisfy his road trip urge. We were there for lunch on our way to Banff and there were several locals having lunch, sipping the suds. Easily a good stop when passing through. read more

We were spending a few days near Cranbrook and looked for brewpubs. This had good recommendations, so we tried it. We ended up eating there twice. The food was great, the beer was good, and the service was excellent! My husband has the schnitzel both times since he liked it so much. I had the pasta carbonara once and the Indian chicken masala the other time. Both were wonderful. You definitely should try it if you are in the area! read more

Nice decor and good, fresh food with flair. Staff is decent but food can take a while when it is busy so relax and enjoy another brew while you wait. Whenevr possible, they use fresh local ingredients. Great selection of beer too! read more

Second time eating here. Love the Fisher Peak brewing beers they serve (and brew in the basement). The food is always good. They had a salmon goat cheese pizza for special today that was perfect. Service is always good. Beware there is metered parking in downtown Cranbrook and very few free parking lots. read more

Excellent evening. Fantastic service. Great beer. We had a large group and were very well taken care of by the service staff and met the owners who were also gracious and helpful! Nice local craft brewery. Very reasonable prices. Great selection of menu items. Open late. Try it!

The HeidOut is a great place with an in-house brewery that has at least 6 excellent beers on tap at all times. I highly recommend the IPA, Scottish Ale and the Porter. The menu seems to be updated and refreshed with some great new items every so often which is great but. Burgers, sandwiches are great and the special usually is a winner! Pickle Sticks for an appy and Quinoa Chocolate cake for desert makes your meal complete. Kids menu available too! Enjoy! read more

We had the schnitzel, roast beef Yorkies, pear and blue cheese salad and fresh in house beer. So impressed! Nice service
