Kitchen is open and visibly clean. I ordered the chicken pita appetizer - super fresh ingredients, though the veg (chunks of cucumber, onion, and yellow bell pepper) was raw so extra crunchy. Light on the taziki sauce, which I like but some wouldn't, but lots of meat (yum, but kinda bland). Definitely a chill local hangout. A child just ran up and took the stool from next to me to take to his table, so I guess the bartop isn't the popular seat! Tourist tip: it is in the middle of the center, so you have to park around the edge (there is plenty) and walk down and in.

Our servers were Jorrie the manager and Michelle. On both occasions that we dined there our servers were working on their own, the restaurant was at full capacity and yet they were both so pleasant, efficient and saw to our needs. They talked to us when they had a bit of a lull and both of the ladies made us feel very welcome. The food was also very good. The first night I had the steak sandwich special. It was very good value at $14.95. The steak was perfectly cooked and the French fries that I had as my side were crispy, hot and oh so good. My husband had the spareribs that were tender, melt in your mouth good and had a terrific carrot ginger soup as his side. He shared his soup with me and it was so good - nice and creamy with a hint of ginger to give it some zip. We shared an order of salt and pepper chicken wings to start and they were nice and moist. For dessert we shared a cheesecake. It was a very generous portion We made reservations the 2nd night since it was July 1st. It was a good thing that we did have reservations since we got the last table. The food was like the previous occasion. We shared salt and pepper spareribs for an appetizer. They were a bit dry and overcooked. I had the Maple hamburger and my husband had lasagna. For dessert we shared the mud pie. When we mentioned that the spareribs were a bit dry Michelle said that she made an adjustment to our bill to compensate for the spareribs even although we ate most of the dish. If you're staying at the Prestige Inn and do not want to go out or even if you're just travelling through town this is a great stop for good food, great service and reasonable prices.

The interior has that vibe with the roll up doors. Our server Paul was excellent, being a fellow traveller we had plenty in common despite the 35 year age difference. The food was outstanding in our mind! One small quibble would be that the bread on the beef dip was a bit wide and made it tough to get the bread into the dip. Other than that an easy five star experience that we will be sure to try again while in town!

I did not get a chance to try the food, I guess the kitchen is small and it doesn't handle large crowds or late night very well. I saw people eat things that looked great, they have this giant sausage in a pita thing that seemed to be a hit. Great On Tap beer selection, above average mix drinks, just stay away from the one that's a mix of Cherry Rum and Cider...spoiler alert: it tastes like cough syrup! Anyway, the bar staff are wicked fun and CAN handle larger groups with relative speed. The first night I was there I was with a 20+ person bachelor party and somehow it worked out: getting separate bills, waitress dodging some scuzzy dude comments from rando-bro's and just with overall great attitude. Well done! The second night I was there, a band was playing and it was mayhem! Someone the staff managed to hold it all together. The service was one of the best ones I have had in a bit but not too special and all the staff were very friendly and nice. We sat inside but they have an outside area too, they have high tops and booths inside and they have big areas for big families and that stuff like that, the whole look at it is pretty bra look which I like but one bad thing about this is the male bathrooms I don't know about the women's but the boys one is pretty bad the urinals are small and there's no dividers and is not very private at all and one of the sinks didn't work there too. But over all it was good and will come back next time I'm in Fernie.

We opted for the fries as a side. Great tasting burger!! Fries were okay, onthe limp side but hot. If I had known, I would have asked for a second quick dunk in the oil. The beer was great, they had a red that was a limited release, so no cans that we could take with us. I love reds, and this one hit all the buttons. I did try the Scottish, really good and bought a sixpack. Our friends loved their food as well. Jackson and Jennifer were outstanding, as was the rest of the staff. What a find.
