Beautiful presentation but lacking flavor. The burrata dish with veggies was delicious though!

Scrambled eggs plate

We walked in to this restaurant and it has a modern, clean, almost boho vibe. Looks very nice. Got a table quickly, as well. There is an area before the indoor area that is kind of like a sunroom, but we ate inside because it was less humid. The server was quite friendly and attentive - he seemed to be in a good mood. Prices here are average for a brunch in Spain, though the portions were a little small for me and my friend. We ordered the house made chai latte, lavender lemonade, mushrooms plate, and scrambled eggs plate. My friend loved her chai latte and it also came with a small churro ball, which she enjoyed. My lavender lemonade was more tart than expected, but was pretty refreshing. I wish it had more lavender taste. The mushrooms plate had savory mushrooms in a rich sauce over a piece of toast with two eggs. My scrambled eggs came on top of a super flakey sheets and included some salad and some type of tomato sauce. The crispy bacon on top was the best part. This had a good flavor but honestly wasn't really filling. Food was as expected but don't go out of your way for this restaurant. Definitely can make something similar at home.

Fried brioche

Forced to come here because my guy is a foodie. But EVERYTHING was delicious. Chefs kiss. we had the baked egg deux and the fried brioche. I had the boozy hot chocolate and he had a mocha. Everything was very tasty. Great presentation. It started to warm up, we were sitting in the entranceway. Revo was kind and pleasant. Great place to eat. And we were filled up for most of the day.

The food presentation was great and loved the colored plates. Tiger Prawn Benedict- Delicious shrimp, bun noir had a fragrant taste and the eggs were perfect. The combination was heavenly amazing. Highly recommend the Tiger Prawn Benedict. The Pork Belly & Fried Eggs- Pork belly was tender and fatty. Had to forgo the crispy skin. The potato roesti was really delicious. The fried eggs and toast were okay. The Fried Brioche- Fulfilling and sweet. The giant macaron was delicious. Cappuccinoooo

Croquettes madams

Did a quick search for where to get good lunch and this place popped up. Great menu of veg and vegan options. I had croquettes madams and loved every bite. The dollop of grainy mustard was extra spicy! I also had the house made iced tea and it was superb -- wish I could replicate this at home. It was the perfect mix of sweet and tart. My husband enjoyed his baked eggs with mushrooms, especially the pea puree. Bonus points for the free wifi which we travelers appreciated!

"Perfectly acceptable" seems to be the norm for most of the restaurants I go to in BCN, with this being no exception. It's a cute little eatery right in the heart of city center. Got the smoked salmon which I enjoyed, especially the potato cake. If you're looking for brunch this is a good choice

Mushroom eggs (love!)

Wow, loved this meal. First, the vibe is just entirely there. Everything from the music to the green lights, this place is beautiful. Second, service was excellent, very kind, spoke English, and no rush. Third, they have wifi, which makes it great to work from (provided there is no wait for tables, which was fine when I was there on a Sunday noon). Fourth and above all, the food was delicious. I had the mushroom toast which came with scrambled eggs and a harissa-like sauce that was the perfect combination. Also had a latte which was nice and strong, perfect for the jetlag upon landing in Barcelona. Can't wait to come back here on my next trip!

This was our first time visiting Barcelona and this restaurant with our friends for dinner. We passed by and liked the posted menu in English. The place was packed with patrons for dinner, therefore we assumed this was a good local place for us to stop for dinner. Despite that the place was packed with customers we scored a table for four in the rear of the restaurant. I started with and enjoyed my portal (blanco Joven), which is a dry garnacha blanca 90% sauvignon Blanc and Viognier for 4 Euros. I enjoyed my patatas pulled pork bravas potatoes with carnitas, poutine sauce and chilli sour cream for 12 Euros. My friend also enjoyed his patatas pulled pork bravas potatoes. We all enjoyed our tapas. I also ended my dinner with a Cerv Jarra cervezas draft beer for 4.90 Euros. My friend also enjoyed the same cervezas draft beer. My total bill for the four of us was 81.30 Euros or USA $94.44 based on the current exchange rate. Our server Contado, who also spoke English, served us very well. After we visited I found one other nearby Alsur Cafes, which may or may not be affiliated with this Alsur Cafe restaurant. We agreed we will return here again. More to come regarding tomorrow's tour of the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell.

Our server, Amaya, was funny, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. He took great care of us, and every single recommendation he made was delicious. I wish I knew all the Spanish names of the dishes because everything was amazing. The highlights for us were the Bacalao -- so tender and full of flavor -- and honestly the best octopus I've ever had in my life. We also loved the soft steak with duck liver served on a slice of French baguette, the shrimp skewers, patatas, and the Spanish ham with tomato toasts. Every dish was unforgettable. On top of the incredible food, the restaurant itself has such an elegant atmosphere with beautiful décor that made the whole dining experience even more special. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Barcelona!

I came here for lunch, and thankfully I didn't have to wait too long before I got seated inside. The interior is a bit on the smaller side, but it's quite bright with a lot of natural sunlight inside. For the food, I decided to get squid, codfish with honey allioli, and iberian ham montaditos. While all of the food was great, for me the codfish was hands-down the star of the show and probably one of the best dishes that I ate on the trip. The flavor of the sauce combined with the texture of the fish actually blew me away, and I can see why my server highly recommended this to me. If you just get one things when coming here, definitely make sure not to miss this dish. Highly recommend checking this place out for Spanish tapas, they represent the cuisine well!

Caravelle is quaint and modern, and the service is definitely on the more lax side. Note: smaller parties may be seated at the communal table, and this place stays busy! Be prepared for a bit of a wait. I started with a café con leche, and although I'm not usually a sweets-for-breakfast kinda person, the croffle looked too enticing online to pass up. Being a huge egg aficionado, I also ordered a side of eggs à la carte. My coffee arrived quickly, but after waiting 30 minutes, I noticed that guests who had arrived after me were already enjoying their meals... When I checked in with the waiter, it turned out my order hadn't gone through at all. I had to reorder, and while waiting, I asked for another café con leche since I was long overdue for a refill. Unfortunately, that second coffee never came--but on the bright side, my meal eventually did. The croffle was freaking divine. Crispy/flakey on the outside, and soft inside. The cream was sweet, but not overpowering, and the tart of the berries balanced out the meal. As I was getting ready to check out, the waiter asked if I had ever received my second café con leche. Embarrassed for them, I admitted that I hadn't... Realizing they'd made ANOTHER mistake, he apologized profusely and quickly asked the barista to make me one to go. To compensate for my time and patience, he generously comped my entire meal, leaving me to pay only for the initial coffee (2.50 euros). Despite the service hiccups, the food was incredible--truly one of my favorite breakfasts in Spain.
