It's literally so close to the airport (for perfect transportation) but it's not too loud. We were never disturbed. The kids thought it was really cool to see the big planes. The lobby was stunning. I loved seeing the live plants. This hotel felt more of like an experience. We loved the pond in the courtyard with the koi fish. Cons: Our room didn't have a microwave. The sheets were crisp and clean but reminded us of wax paper. They made a ton of noise with every twist and turn. The pool had a lot of algae so we didn't swim. So that's a bummer. Breakfast wasn't included only if you wanted to pay more.

I was blown away by the new lobby area and it's modern and inviting setup. The layout of the hotel can be like a very big maze since there is enough space to host multiple events or one very large one. My overnight room was in the mansion section which I appreciated being so close to the front desk. The room was well setup and the bed was probably one of the most comfortable I've slept on recently in a hotel. The one item that did hit a snag was the ice machines didn't seem to be working the first night. We tried several. From a conference planner side/. I found the staff to be very easy to work with and any changes were quickly accommodated. The food was good and they were very careful with the meals for our celiac/gluten free folks. I hope to be hosting other events here in the very near future.

I've used similar extended stay hotels in the past & always had a good to great experience. Same with the Staybridge. Overall, it was a very good experience. The front desk staff were nice enough, for the most part, up until our last eve & check out morning, did we encounter a new front desk gal who was extremely upbeat & helpful. We asked for a picture together as the waitress at the Ruths' Chris steakhouse pretty much gave us the brush off when we asked if she could snap a photo before we left. The gal gladly obliged & seemed excited to learn that we were newly discovered siblings who found each other a few years ago & this was our first time away together to do some bonding... Here's the rundown of some of my thumbs up/thumbs down/meh... *I was told there would be coffee waiting if either party arrived before check-in. Unfortunately my sibling said the coffee wasn't hot & it was apparent that it was sitting out for awhile. That's a thumbs down! *About the bathroom in the suite - Floor seemed kind of sticky, I found some dust build up on the TP holder & the tub floor had no kind of slip prevention. It almost appeared there was a long time ago & maybe it wore off or was removed? There are marks on the tub floor but that was all. I recently had a knee injury & I was trying to step very carefully while holding onto the 2 small shower racks on the wall which you can place your soap on or whatever. I felt this was an accident waiting to happen & should be taken care of asap before someone takes a slip in that tub. And also, they could do better with their TP. I drove to the hotel & brought some softer varieties from home. But seriously, c'mon! Extended stays should splurge a bit for something like that imo. *We had the breakfast on Sat & Sun morning. Meh... The coffee was ok the first morn (Sat) but not so great on Sun or Mon morn. There's a decent variety of stuff but nothing to write home about. It's definitely a money & time saver to have the option for the complimentary breakfast though so it mostly should hit the spot. It worked for us. *The room overall was nice & cozy. There was a coffeemaker in the room (didn't use it) but I was disappointed there was no Keurig. I guess because they provide coffee but a lot of people like their Keurig's these days & can easily bring their favorite coffee along which I did. Oh well... *The bed was pretty damn comfortable. The room was quiet for the most part but then I was woken up several times during the nite to some weird noises that seemed to be coming from the hall. I have no clue & could not say what was going on. Could have been just a neighboring guest coming in or out because the doors close super hard with a big loud bang (EEK)! *Upon check out we had to do a split bill which I was hoping would not cause any confusion but we had the help of the nice gal from the nite before & a super nice manager who jumped in to make the check out an easy one & didn't mind taking the extra steps to help. Big thumbs up! *Parking was no issue, there's a big lot there. I know it seems I'm focusing a lot on the 'thumbs down' most of all but I write this to point out some stuff in hopes that management will see it & take stuff into consideration & also so people know in advance what to possibly expect. There's always room for improvement but with all that I would definitely consider using a Staybridge again if needed. This hotel was better than a lot of places I've stayed in the past so that says a lot... Overall, a thumbs up experience!

The…read moreserver herself was nice at first, but would stay focused on the bar and disappear from us for 15-20 minutes at a time. We would ask her questions about the menu and she looked like she didn't want to answer them. It also seemed as though she was rushing us through our order. My friend wasn't done telling her the specifics about her order when she turned to me and asked me for mine. I had to redirect her back to my friend so she could finish taking her order. The food was okay-ish. The noodles I got were hard to chew and the grilled chicken add on ($8 extra btw) was hard and grilled too crispy. We paid our bill in full and left no tip because the service left something to be desired and the attitude of the servers were more focused on other people. As soon as we go downstairs...another patron comes downstairs with OUR bill (that had our signatures on it bc it was a split bill) to harass us about not tipping the waitress. She mentioned that she used to work there and that she was given the bill and followed us downstairs. We were ordering our ride and she sat downstairs to wait for us to leave and said she wasn't leaving until we got our ride. We begin to go back and forth so that she can leave us alone, when one of my friends goes upstairs to find a manager (who wasn't there). A couple of minutes later, one of the bartenders comes downstairs (She has blonde ends and lip filler) and instead of trying to apologize for her friend's rude behavior just looks at her and says "It's fine" and tries to get her to go back upstairs. No apology was given nor did she try to make us feel like she was sorry it happened. I don't know what kind of establishment gives the bill of customers to other patrons, but I did not appreciate being harassed for something that wasn't her business in the first place. Overall, the lack of remorse and apologies has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be returning.

Having stayed there once, I've selected the nearby Courtyard for my next stay, however. Let's start with the good. The rooms are pretty nice. They've been refurbished, so they have lots of outlets, nice fixtures, and the mattress is comfy. The temperature control worked. No real complaints about the room itself. I also appreciated the airport shuttle, which was on command and speedy both times I used it and even took me to a nearby restaurant one night. The bad: Other than the rooms themselves (which are the most important part), the rest of the hotel is incredibly dated and old. It feels run down. The website also advertises multiple restaurants, but it's really just one for dinner and one for breakfast. And even though I booked my room with breakfast included, no one seemed to know what I was talking about and only after my work travel agent called did they give me a single breakfast coupon, despite having booked five nights. When I used my breakfast coupon, they ended up burning what I ordered (French toast) and did not have enough time to make me a replacement, so I wasted it on a cup of oatmeal. I asked if I could pay extra to get upgraded to the concierge lounge, but they were unhelpful and said they did not take reservations or adjust reservations in person. After my first night, I let the front desk know that none of the streaming services seemed to work and if they could send an engineer up to my room while I was out for the day. When I returned back they still didn't work, so I asked the front desk and they said it was down for the whole hotel. The front desk staff in general were not super helpful, though at least one just seemed new.

The building itself is impressive, although maybe not quite as impressive as the castle-looking building next door. Our party of seven settled in at the bar as there otherwise did not seem to be a large enough table for all of us to gather around in either the main lounge area or a small room off to the side. The dark wood paneled walls, large fireplace, assortment of easy chairs, couches, and high desktop table gave off a feeling of warmth and welcoming. The friendly bartender introduced herself (sorry I've forgotten her name) and informed us that spirit-wise, the bar was capable of preparing the standard, traditional drinks like Manhattans, martinis, etc. All beers were poured from cans, and at my request, she recited the names of about six that were available. I don't believe anyone in our party inquired about the wines that were available. The building simply calls out for an explanation of its history. Upon our request, the bartender offered to provide either the "brief" or "full" option. We requested the full history. She was obviously well up to the task. You would be amazed at the variety of things you could learn here. Just to touch on a few key topics that were mentioned, consider Alexander Hamilton's wife, puffed rice, Bab-o cleanser (cue up the jingle), Bishop Gibbons, and an orthopedic surgeon. I don't know what the normal food arrangements are in the Lounge. I'm guessing that our out-of-town hosts requested some snacks for us as a few bowls appeared with mixed nuts, crackers and cheese, fresh grapes, humus, and warm pretzel/croissant rolls, and a plate of prosciutto wrapped cream cheese. Overall, the atmosphere here is simply friendly and inviting. I think it will become an occasional gathering place for our local friends when looking for a place that is quiet and relaxing.
