We had such a great time traveling from CT to the last weekend of the sunflower festival yesterday here! We had no idea all of the activities this venue offers includes with your admission. This is a child's dream come true! We LOVED that their was live music, farm animals, and food options. Huge plus they take cards! My husband had a cowboy burger which had pulled pork in it and I had the crispy chicken sandwich. We also had fried dough and the fresh lemonade. All were yummy especially that lemonade! The red golden retriever who makes his way around to greet everyone is a gem! The staff were all very friendly and we are looking forward to bringing our daughter back here once she's born! Sunflower fields were cool as there were many varieties of sunflowers in the fields (you can pick but whatever you want - they supply clippers), and you get a flower of your choice with your admission. Many cool props in the fields for photo ops as well. Posting all the pictures I have and will explain what each thing is in captions! The country store is awesome too - cider donuts, kettle corn, fresh salsas/sauces, and I bought the most perfect farm wine glass!

This place appeals to all age groups and has a variety of activities for the fall season. Tickets are $15 each for adult entry which gives access to the entire farm, including the corn maze. This is also an excellent place to bring children for a day out as they have swings and playgrounds and several animals to pet. The cider donuts ($6 for 1/2 dozen) are delicious. You can literally taste the apple cinnamon flavor with every bite. The also have a wide selection of other food and beverages. Bathrooms are readily accessible throughout the farm and parking is also free.

Worst place I have ever been to. Avoid at all costs. Rude and disrespectful staff. Do not come here.

If you're looking for a luxury hotel and are afraid of the smell of horses, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for a quiet escape with beautiful nature, lots of animals (both farm animals and dogs/cats), a wonderful selection of activities in the area, and kind hospitality, then this is the place for you. The guesthouse was larger than anticipated, truly a private space with wonderful views. This is a working farm where you can learn about the trade, and some woodworking if you're interested. The family was friendly but never overbearing. We were even able to borrow the family four wheel drive car to go to dinner when our car just couldn't make it up the hill. This would be a wonderful place to stay in all seasons!

There was so much going on at the farm between the horses (even a mini horse!), chickens, ducks, and the family's 3 beagles. Our puppy played with the other dogs almost the whole time as they have an expansive fenced in backyard. The Inn is set back from Rt 2, but you can walk to quite a few places: Dunkin Donuts, Wild Oats Market, and Moonlight Diner. When we left for dinner our last night, we were planning on having our pup stay in our room until we got back, but the Inn keeper, Carolyn, generously offered let our puppy play with her beagles until we got back. The whole experience was so fun, we can't wait to go back!

We ate the whole bag in the parking lot. I had to go back and get more to bring home. We went there for apple picking and I have to say their per person bag requirement kind of caught me off guard. I've been to other places where you can buy a bag or as many bags as you want to go pick apples but this one requires every single person to purchase a bag. A peck of apples is $14. So you can imagine if you have a bunch of kids over their age requirement and have to buy a bag for each kid, it's very expensive and you get more apples than you could possibly eat. We go for the experience and usually fill a bushel bag or two. I did not like that. It was the reason why we did not go to Bowman's. They got us anyway. The store was filled with fresh vegetables and apples and all kinds of things you could purchase. Breads, maple syrup, soup mixes. I would come here just to shop! There was a live music, which really set the tone for a beautiful fall day. We bought some cute bucket hats from a vendor out front. The staff was super friendly too!

The farm market is amazing, with excellent produce and local products you'd expect at a market such as jellies, and of course some excellent cider donuts. They work hard to make visiting here a destination, particularly on weekends, with live music for adults and other events, and of course apple picking, mazes and other fun kid-friendly activities. The apple picking itself is a bit hit-and-miss--a lot of spots can be sparse--perhaps a victim of their own success. Not always the best yield here, but then you mostly go for the experience, right?

The alpacas and all the other animals (peacocks, turkeys, doggos) are all loved and well taken care of. Elaine is kind, patient and interested in the folks that visit her. I am so glad to get the experience of meeting lots of these beautiful animals in these farm. Woodland meadow farm is a working farm. The owners breed alpacas for business. They started with only 3 alpacas and now after 11 years of operation, they have 73 total of different mixed breeds. It is a huge farm that can accommodate all the animals daily activities. Alpacas are adorable, charming and friendly. As per understanding, alpacas are raised basically for their luxurious and expensive fibers. It is being sell per pound to turn into hats, scarves, blankets , sweaters etc. If at once you received an item made of alpacas fiber, it is said to be a precious possession that lasts years time. They are scheduled to be sheered once a year. During our visit, the owner let me dip my finger how much deep one alpaca fiber has , about 4 inches deep. Cool! We witnessed the love of the owners to these creatures , an inspiration to reckon with. Being said , who knows, I maybe farming these wonderful creatures in the future or may get one as pet. We learned a lot about alpacas from the owners during this visit. The farm is worth visiting if you have the love for these animals. Come visit the farm and get to experience a unique enchantment.
