You really can't go into an airport bar expecting much, but this place actually surprised me, in a good way. The service was friendly and fast, and my chicken sandwich was way better than I expected. Sure, the prices were steep but that's annoyingly the airport tax we all accept to survive between flights. Compared to the Italian place nearby (can't even remember the name), this bar wins. At least they noticed I existed, which is more than I can say for the other spot. Also, $22 for a glass of Prosecco? Hard pass, so I walked over to Hampton Social. I really hate giving 4 stars to a place that's a bit overpriced, it feels like I'm part of the problem. But honestly, will my tiny act of rebellion in the form of a few less stars change anything? Doubt it. So fine, I'll rate it on the food and service alone. Both were solid. The chicken sandwich hit the spot, the staff was friendly, and everything ran smoothly. The prices? Typical airport extortion but I guess that's what we pay for the privilege of eating next to a boarding gate.

    Lobster Roll. $37.50.

Food was great! I had the infamous lobster roll, $37.50! I only did so because Delta gave me some meal vouchers for $24 for being 5 hours delayed. The lobster was tender and flavorful, the roll was buttery and a good balance of toasty and soft. I dinged the 3 stars because the bartender was a rude and had the personality of a doorknob. The asked if it was "for here or to go", and when I said "to go" he rolled his eyes. I came to realize that he was the only person on staff that knew how to redeem vouchers, so he was pressed to step away from the bar and run the food register. After that, the numbskull who didn't know how to use the register packed my order and seeing me sitting a mere 10 feet away, stayed still after calling my order and acted too annoyed or tired to hand it to me. I'm not lazy, but I was also trying to pull my luggage and get my backpack on before heading over. With all this, and the airport prices, I wouldn't come back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Hampton Social has a pleasant atmosphere overall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar area was large and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the salmon which had a honey sauce that was too sweet for my taste. (To be clear it was a honey sauce so I should have expected a sweetness). Service was quick and pleasant. I was surprised to find a 18% service charge added to the bill. I would prefer the restaurant just include the price in the food price and be more transparent. But if you prefer to have the tip included this may work well for you.

Usually airport food is way overpriced and low quality. I was very surprised by my meal here as the price was reasonable (by airport standards, not normal restaurant standards haha). The service was soo friendly and attentive. The burger itself was a little greasy but it was very very good, much better than what I was expecting. The fries were also very crispy and they gave a LOT. I ended up not even being able to completely finish my food!

This restaurant/bar bucks the trend of bad airport food. Easy top choice if I'm ever transiting in ORD terminal 5. Great friendly service from the bartender. Both the chicken sandwich and the burger were comparable to good restaurants not inside an airport. Chicken was crispy and well fried, burger patty was simultaneously charred, juicy, and tender.

Breakfast sandwich. Bun is a croissant. Unbelievable. HUGE fruit cup included.

Whenever I have enough time for a quick meal before a morning flight, I have enjoyed a breakfast sandwich from Hampton Social located in Terminal 5 (Delta Airlines). It is usually not busy in the morning, but have stopped by midday and as busy as it gets, the staff have maintain quick and effective service which is what everyone hopes for while at the airport. Looking forward to stopping by on my next travels

    Breakfast Sandwich with Double Whiskey

Newly open in Terminal 5. Hampton Social brings American fare to the airport. Food aims to please everyone. This location has breakfast, coffee and dinner options. Liquor options including Frose and bubbles options. Overall my husband was impressed with his breakfast sandwich and served with fresh fruit. Double whiskey was made with Bulleit. Nice place to unwind before a flight.

I'm SO GLAD to have actual sit down food options in terminal 5! The people here were so friendly, but I will say I was a little disappointed with the food. I got the smashburger and although it tasted good, it was extremely greasy and had a ton of sauce which made me feel kind of gross on the plane. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It also came with disposable dishes and utensils which downgraded the experience of such a cool atmosphere and seemed unnecessarily wasteful to me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall though, this is one of the better options in the terminal!

My friends and I came here the day after the grand opening for my friend's birthday. I really enjoyed the Chicago riverside location, so I was really excited to come here. We had reservations and were immediately seated once we made it to the host stand. There was a pretty long line just to get to the host. Also, there is no restaurant parking. You either have to valet, find street parking or park in a nearby garage. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were immediately impressed by the ambiance and aesthetic. It definitely give Hampton, Coastal vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server, Ade was great! Super friendly, accommodating, personable and helpful. She helped us enjoy our first visit. We all ordered Hampton Frosés and enjoyed. The birthday girl also got the pink reverie, the cocktail with bubbles on top, but she didn't enjoy stating that it tasted like artificial sweeteners. I also got the i like it a yacht cocktail with rum in it and enjoyed it. We split the bang bang chicken and roasted Brussels sprouts for an appetizer, and we all enjoyed and would order again. The birthday girl ordered the creamy spicy vodka pasta. She said it was okay, but would probably just stick with the apps next time. My other friend ordered the honey glazed salmon and enjoyed it. I, on the other hand, did not enjoy my meal. I got the lobster roll, and it was very dry and bland. I had to request a side of melted garlic butter to jous it up. I had also requested fries instead of chips, but it was not disclosed to me that there was an up charge for my request. Because I was not impressed with my meal, and was overcharged for it, I have to take away a star. My recommendations are to visit during non peak hours, avoid the lobster roll and ask if there are up charges with your request. I'd be willing to come back for the apps, vibes and cocktails.

The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

They also have a patio, and with the weather being nice, it was easy to just sit outside and relax for a while. I was honestly too hungry to spend much time deciding, so I just ordered one of the sourdough donut ball. It was exactly what I was hoping for. The outside had a light coating of sugar that gave it just the right amount of sweetness without being too much. Once I bit into it, the inside was soft, airy, and slightly chewy from the sourdough, which made it different from a regular donut. There was a subtle tang from the sourdough that balanced the sweetness really well, so it never felt overly sugary. It had a light crispness on the outside, then a warm, pillowy center that practically melted away with each bite. I finished it way faster than I expected. The only thing I forgot was ordering something to drink with it. Looking back, a good coffee would've made it even better. Still, I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm in the area.

Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot. It's an artists dream and sets a positive time for any gathering.

I bravely went for the latin-inspired latte flights, consisting of Mexican mocha, Coquito, horchata, and cafe de Olla. My favorite out of these four was the coquito because of the coconut pieces, which blended well with the latte. I know it sounded silly, but I enjoyed chewing these coconut flakes and they were good palate cleansers! The presentation was da bomb as well. The only reason that I couldn't give five stars to "Stockyard" was limited seating. The place was super cute, but there were only 3 tables and less than 4 high chair seating against the windows, plus some outdoor seating on the pedestrian walkway. The laptop users were respectfully directed to sit at the windows and outlets were available. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable. I asked the details of the latte flight and they explained the offerings. I thought there was only one type of latte flights, but I believe the one I selected was very much suited to my preferences. "Stockyard Coffeehouse" is accessible via routes CTA 44 (Racine/Wallace) and CTA 8 (Halsted) busses. It's great to have a reliable indie coffeeshop in the neighborhood like this, so keep up the good work!

The contrast between the crisp pastry, savory filling, and sauce made this one of my favorite parts of the meal. The Fruit French toast was also excellent. It was thick and fluffy with a beautifully soft center, topped with blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and a light cream. It was served over a sweet sauce that added just enough sweetness without making the dish feel overly sugary. The fruit and cream balanced it out really well.
