Exterior is nasty

The food was inedible, the pizza tasted like spoiled cheese and old pepperoni. I believe the wings were frozen wings put in a microwave. We ate half a slice of pizza each and left the rest. The staff were missing in action the entire time. Soda tasted like they hadn't cleaned the well guns at the bar in weeks. There was no manager, so I charged it to my room figuring I would take it up with the hotel. The hotel said it wasn't their problem, different owners but same building. We ended up checking out of the hotel, separate review, after finding a blood stain on the sheets. This hotel should be shutdown and I'm shocked that the restaurant is still in business. Avoid at all costs or enjoy the free food poisoning.

Located inside the Four Points by Sheraton hotel, restaurant and a bar is pretty average looking sports bar with somewhat slower service. Server Anita was polite but had too many things going on. Food is typical heavy bar food. Not bad, but nothing special to brag about either. Simply average restaurant/bar

I really wasn't impressed with the food at Mirage. On my first visit, I opted to eat from the breakfast buffet, which is $10.95 and includes juice and fruit, and toast. The eggs had a weird sour taste, which was unappetizing. The pancakes were also rock hard. They must have been sitting there for a while. On my second visit, I ordered the Americana omelette, which was huge. Enough for two people. The service was much slower on the second day. I don't really expect much from hotel restaurants, so I can't say I was really disappointed.

The time reflects eastern time...I was in Chicago. The timer was set after sitting there for about 6 minutes.

It took 18:29 seconds for anyone to recognize I was in the bar. So after 5 minutes, I ordered through Grubhub. That seemed to work. Would have had a couple, or more, drinks...but neither waiter or bartender seemed to aware of my need. As a known passive aggressive person, I did not raise a stink as I sat there. I simply watched the Lakers get a beat down by Memphis until my food was ready. If you are not a regular, you are invisible.

This restaurant was connected to the hotel I stayed at. Excellent tasting food! We had dinner and breakfast here. The prices are good too. The only complaint I have is that it was hard to get any coffee or water refills. The kids menu was pretty decent too. Definitely would come back to this restaurant.

I came into The Mirage on random chance and it was the best experience. The lounge is comfortable and relaxed. I sat in front of their large fireplace and was greeted warmly by Joe the mixologist. Their menu is impressive and their drinks are even better. Joe knows what he's doing. Being attached to a hotel I was skeptical, but I'll definitely be back.

My sister and I came here due to a flight delay and I got offered an overnight package which included a $12 meal voucher here. The server, Joe Kelly, was super sweet and attentive. We ordered an appetizer and an entree to share, I didn't even have to tell him that we're sharing food, he immediately noticed and offered to split the pasta into two plates. We've never been to Chicago before but Joe really made a wonderful impression of the city with his warm welcoming attitude, will definitely want to visit this city one day!

Welcoming, comfortable, and the kind of place that makes you want to become a regular. Everything we've tried has been excellent. Our go-to order has been the wings and the chicken Caesar salad, which are both consistently delicious. But today we tried the Shia LaBuffalo Bowl, and WOW it was absolutely incredible. And honestly, the name alone deserves bonus points. So clever! We cannot wait to try the rest of their menu, EVERYTHING sounds delicious. We have to give a huge shoutout to Katie behind the bar. She makes us feel at home every single time we visit. She's warm, friendly, funny, and an exceptional bartender. I'm pretty particular about an Aperol Spritz, and Katie makes my favorite spritz in the city. She also makes an amazing mango margarita and a fantastic spicy watermelon marg. Great food, amazing drinks, and the kind of hospitality that keeps you coming back. We absolutely love this place and highly recommend checking it out. You won't be disappointed!

I've known about Shwings for about four years now. Back when I worked nearby, it was one of my…read moreregular lunch stops whenever a craving for wings kicked in. I'd grab an order, enjoy my lunch, and get back to my day. Once I stopped working in the area, those visits naturally came to an end, especially with the restaurant being about 40 minutes from where I live. Recently, I finally made the drive back. I wondered whether it would be as good as I remembered, but the moment the food arrived, I had a familiar feeling. The wings looked crispy, with plenty of sauce coating them. It was the kind of first impression that makes you eager to dig in. I remember having that same reaction years ago, and it was nice to see that some things hadn't changed. This time I ordered two BBQ tenders and five Buffalo wings. I came back with the wings in mind, but decided to try the tenders first. And wow, I'm glad I did. The chicken was incredibly juicy, flavorful, and so tender it almost melted in my mouth. The outside had a light crisp, just enough to give each bite some texture without getting in the way of the chicken itself. I don't think a thick, heavy coating would have improved them. The BBQ sauce was sweet and savory, adding another layer of flavor while allowing the chicken to stand on its own. Everything complemented each other nicely, from the tenderness of the meat to the sweetness of the sauce. I expected to enjoy the tenders, but I didn't expect them to make me question which part of my order I'd like more. Then I moved on to the wings, and they were just as good as I remembered. They were medium-sized, with a light, satisfying crisp on the outside and juicy chicken underneath. I've had wings where the crunch takes over or the sauce has to do all the work, but these had a nice balance. The Buffalo sauce was mild, with subtle hints of butter that gave it a little richness. It still tasted unmistakably like Buffalo, though, and that's what I appreciated most. It didn't try to overwhelm you with heat or hide the flavor of the chicken. It was familiar, straightforward, and done well. Sometimes restaurants try to do too much with their Buffalo sauce, when all I really want is that recognizable flavor executed properly. Shwings understands that. Every wing was consistently cooked, too. I never found myself reaching for one that was noticeably better than the others. The crispiness, tenderness, and sauce worked together in every bite, making the entire order enjoyable from beginning to end. What surprised me most was how hard it was to choose between the tenders and the wings. I'd take a bite of a BBQ tender, go back to a Buffalo wing, then find myself reaching for the tender again. The BBQ brought that sweetness and savory depth, while the Buffalo wings offered the classic flavor and texture I remembered from my old lunch visits. Neither felt like a side attraction. I went in thinking I knew exactly what I was coming back for, and left with two things I'd happily order again. It's not every day that tenders manage to compete with wings for my attention, especially when wings were the whole reason I made the trip. If anything, this visit made me appreciate that Shwings has more to offer than what originally brought me through its doors. Returning to a restaurant after a few years can be a gamble. Sometimes you realize you've been remembering the experience more fondly than the food deserves. I've tried plenty of wings since I first discovered Shwings, so I was curious whether my opinion would change. It didn't. I enjoyed this visit every bit as much as those lunches years ago, and I appreciate that the quality still feels familiar. I'm already thinking about bringing my cousins next time so they can try it for themselves. The 40-minute drive might keep Shwings from being a casual lunch stop these days, but it certainly won't keep me away. I'm glad I finally returned, and this time I won't be waiting another few years before making my way back.

When I asked our server about it, they weren't sure and called the manager. I calmly explained my concern, but the manager responded angrily, raised his voice, and insisted that this was how the dish was supposed to look. I felt intimidated and ended up eating it rather than continuing the conversation. A simple question about my order should never have been handled that way. As a Korean customer, the way I was treated left me wondering whether my race or nationality played a role. I cannot know the manager's intentions, but the interaction made me feel discriminated against and unwelcome. I also emailed Hooters customer service about this experience, but I have received no response. Being treated this way in the restaurant and then receiving no acknowledgment afterward has made the experience even more disappointing. Customers deserve basic respect and a reasonable response when they raise a concern. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location.

We got bone-in wings: honey bbq & the cajun dry rub. The size of the wings are pretty decently sized. Texture was good and tasted fresh. Not super salty. For sides we got the onion rings and fries. During ordering I learned the deal is only for bone in wings- but they would take 20 minutes. Boneless are always cooked up and ready. There were 2 people who already ordered when I entered. The staff must have had lots of online orders because many people came in after that. I waited 35 minutes for my wings and mac and cheese. The kitchen seemed to have one full time worker, then my cashier was also assisting in the kitchen. The poor woman didn't seem like she could keep up. I feel the delay is likely due to lack of staffing, they both did not seem to slow down, but nonetheless this was extremely frustrating and disappointing when I specifically paid more for the boneless to save time. For the food- these wings are fine. Nothing special, not bad either. I got the awesome sauce and sweet chili. I appreciated the chicken was real, not mashed up and formed. They were cooked well, and the sauces were good. The Mac and Cheese was very disappointing. I expected at worst overcooked diner type of Mac and cheese and hoped for something better. Instead the cheese was so watery it fell off the noodles and had no flavor. For $23 you can get a much better meal somewhere else, I likely won't be back.
