I decided to give halal guys a try after hearing so much hype about this place.
I opted for the combo platter, which is dry, tasteless, unappealing pieces of discoloured chicken. Dried out, disgusting pieces of unseasoned beef. Poor quality white rice that was turned orange by whatever they use to turn it that colour. A massive portion of lettuce - the only decent thing on the platter, a tiny scattering of something that resembled tomatoes and four pieces of stale pitta bread.
Their "World famous" white sauce is offensively bland.
As someone who loves hot spicy food, I also tried their hot sauce. Another one of their "World famous" offerings. Hot sauce is not that hot and has no hint of any flavour.
When I went to the till to pay for this c r a p, I was presented with a grotesquely ugly, fat, orange haired, insecure, weak, incompetent manager with a vomit inducing narcissistic personality disorder.
Due to his inability to communicate effectively in English, I was unable to understand the gibberish nonsense pouring from his revolting gob. A member of staff intervened and communicated effectively on his behalf, which going by his body language left him feeling deeply humiliated.
After all the unnecessary confusion, instead of him conducting himself in a professional manner he rudely chucked my change on the counter.
I am absolutely disgusted that an employee especially a manager could behave in such an appalling way especially when this shop has recently opened.
Halal guys is desperately trying hard to be different but failing on every level.
The three old greedy owners and those on a management level are crazy to think the halal guys is not a kebab shop when in fact it is nothing but a glorified kebab shop.
This shambolic, pompous kebab shop is over-hyped beyond words and overpriced.
The halal guys have zilch to offer in quality, taste, experience and value. read more
