Granted, there was take home food at the end, but I would have loved a slightly lower price point. Setting - the restaurant exterior (and some interior) is covered with vibrant plants - bright bougainvillea, vines, and flowers almost make you feel that you are in a garden. It's right down the street from the British Museum, super convenient as far as location goes if you're on a museum visit. I started with warm hummus with pastrami and Anatolia sausage. I love hummus and this was quite good and the meat was a nice touch. What really stood out, though, was a mixed kabob combo. Three large kabobs, two primarily chicken, one lamb. The chicken was tender and tasty, the lamb perfect. Finished with fresh peppermint tea, something I really miss from the mid-East. Not cheap but it is Leicester Square, worth it.

Service was very fast and the lady serving us was lovely as were the line of chefs we passed by on our way in and out. When you peep through he window, it looks like a tiny kebab place, but they have really comfortable seating at the back. Some of the other places we wanted to eat at in Camden on a Friday night were completely full, so we entered this place on a whim, but left completely dated and satisfied.

The pide looked huge but I inhaled it. Perfectly spiced, right amount of sauce without being soggy, crust was crisp to the last bite, everything about it was delicious and quite affordable. We had an incredible halloumi appetizer (which had a fantastic grilled flavor) as well as a tangy platlican (eggplant) ezme. For mains, the wife had a grilled meat casserole, and I devoured a vegetable kebab platter, which came with a hefty portion of pilaf and a savory sauce. Yum. The service was attentive without being smothering, and the manager checked in from time to time to make sure all was well. It was one of the best meals I've ever had, so it goes without saying that it was also the BEST Turkish cuisine I've ever tasted. The service was impeccable and the male host that evening gave us more bread (for FREE) when he saw we had a lot of dips left and no more mile high flat bread. I loved every minute I was there stuffing my face and enjoying the colorful, eccentrically light ambiance. A MUST try even if you need to take the tube for a couple of stops and change lines!!
