But then, a google search while I was waiting at the laundromat revealed that Vance Outdoors had my model in stock! There was even a cursory guide to buying firearms via the Internet on the site itself, which was extremely helpful as I had never purchased a firearm before. Due to my general incompetence, I was still a bit confused. I called the Online Help number listed on the site. Usually when I call a store like this, I'm on hold for at least 10 minutes and there are about 5 "Let me transfer you"s. Not so with Vance Outdoor! They picked up on the second ring and got me to the right department within a minute. Having worked retail before, I am able to appreciate how insanely fast that is. Hot damn, Vance Outdoor! Greg from the internet team is phenomenal. He was able to answer all of my questions concerning the FFL transfer and give me some helpful tips about my purchase. He even followed up via email after my FFL got sent to the store. The whole transaction was quick and painless. I wish they had a location in my state :C

The inside of the store is absolutely stacked and lined with firearms and accessories, fun stuff to look at, wood paneled walls, hilarious signs and wall art. It's a homey, cabin like place that and feels like a breath of fresh air compared to the corporate, fluorescent-lit, sterile environments of larger retailers you find in the city.
