Awesome motel! Very cute, nicely decorated rooms, beachy feel. Laid back and the best part is you're steps from a beautiful beach and stunning sunset! There is a cute little gazebo where you can sit and watch the sunsets. Each room has a barbecue and there is also shuffle board. The town has some great restaurants and you are just a short trip to Siesta Key and Venice where you will find more great restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend this hidden gem if you are looking to kick back and relax!

The owner Tekla welcomed us as we exited our vehicle. We felt like we were staying in a friends home rather than a hotel. It was impeccably clean and decorated, we stayed in the Big House and it is remodeled and has everything you need for your stay. Upon our exit Tekla and her husband were so kind to my children and bid us farewell. We cannot say enough about this amazing property and the lovely owners. We cannot wait to return.

This family-run business has three different properties on both sides of Casey Key Road. Our unit in the Old Florida section was steps to the beach on the Gulf and our friends' unit was in the Dockside Villas on the Intercoastal Inlet. There is also a New section a few door down on the beach. The units are perfectly appointed in every detail. Some examples of the details include small flashlights on the key rings, lights over the barbecue grill and recycle/trash barrels, handmade soap at the sinks and every kitchen tool we might need. Our Old Florida unit is the smallest, a studio with a kitchen yet it had a beautifully painted mural on the length of the unit, a couch and a very cool honeymoon table for two (the chairs nestled in under the table to save space). Every convenience was provided in the kitchen and the bathroom sink had a grass skirt! The owners are delightful and very knowledgeable about the local restaurants and sights. Their office has a small gift nook with items made by local crafts people.

Lemon with water was presented to us right away. From that point on we were well cared for. The food was excellent. The plate presentation was gorgeous and the food well prepared. We were quickly lead to a table way in the back but facing a glass window allowing us a nice view of the lake. Our waitress was not the best....drinks took a bit to arrive, bread was provided halfway through drinks, right before our food arrived, and we felt kind of rushed. My husband was really bothered by the smell of fish. It wasn't the pleasant smell of a nice fish dish cooking, more like the smell of raw fish in a fish shop. I noticed it but it didn't get to me like it affected him. The food was good, but nothing memorable. There isn't a lot of Gluten Free options. I never hold that against any restaurant just thought I'd mention it for us unfortunate folks that can't have Gluten. If we happened to be in the area we'd probably go back for drinks and apps at the bar but would make a special trip.
