This was our 4th year at Midnight Cove, and it remains our very favorite place to vacation. The incredible staff (shout out to Tishawnna) makes everything simple and wonderful! We especially love the chairs and umbrellas provided at the beach for no additional cost and the location is ideal with restaurants, a market, and ice cream within short walking distance! We have stayed in 4 different condos- both bay and gulf side- and have loved them all! Most recently, the view from 455 was outstanding! We had a 27 person family reunion this past week, and everyone was super happy- from age 2-82!! We can't say enough good things- just call Tishawnna and book for next year! My family opted to move our summer vacation to Siesta Key this year and we found a great unit in Midnight Cove. These units face the ocean, but keep in mind not all of them have views of the water. There is one large building and then some smaller adjacent buildings surrounding the pool where you can find options for 1 bedroom up to 3 I believe. We booked a three bedroom unit that faced the ocean but without an ocean view much to my dad's dismay. The unit was super spacious, had a balcony with entry from the living room and also the master. It comes with washer dryer which was super convenient since we had a baby with us, and then a full bed in one of the guest rooms as well as two twin beds in the other. We slept a total of 6 adults and one baby in our unit comfortably. Your stay here gets you access to the pool and gym if you'd like at their other property across the street. You also get access to beach service for chairs and umbrellas for each day of your stay for no extra charge. Overall our stay was great, and this property is just 5 minutes from the downtown area with restaurants and bars. A few pieces of feedback that would improve folk's stays: +Handing out more keys / fabs for beach access. As a family of 6, coordinating with only two fabs to access the beach and come back up or enter the property was a bit of a hassle. +Kitchen equipment: I've never stayed in a rental that did not provide the basic things like dish soap, sponges and even salt/pepper/olive oil. Pro tip would be make it a point to go to the grocery store on your first day so you have the basics. +Beach Chairs: I loved having this service included in my stay, but keep in mind that you have to use it. We're used to bringing our own towels and umbrellas so we had to get accustomed to going early to get our area of chairs and umbrella because it is first come, first served and it gets super busy on the weekends. All in all, staying in Siesta Key is paradise and Midnight Cove is a solid option to unlock relaxation with fam and friends. read more

Midnight Cove is a beautiful place to stay on Siesta Key. Each unit has a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious living area and views of the gulf of the in intracoastal. Midnight Cove is one of the best vacation rentals on Siesta Key. There are two outdoor pools and they have a private beach with white sand and sparkling blue water. Midnight Key has attendants that will help you with complimentary beach lounges and umbrellas. I enjoyed joining others on a morning walk and watching the sunset each evening. Midnight Cove boasts a variety of accommodations. There are townhouses, two, three and four bedroom condos. There is a fitness room, tennis courts, grills and plenty of outdoor areas to sit and relax. You can even rent a boat slip at Midnight Cove or fish right off of their docks. read more

If ever I wished that there was an incremental star option, it would be for this review as I would give them a solid 4.75, but that is not the case. As there are a few minor suggestions I have for improvement, I just can't give 5 stars. This is my 4th year that my family has vacation at Midnight Cove, staying at a different condo every time. We have always stayed in the 7 floor building as it provides a ocean view that is simply to die for. It is 2 steps from one of their pools and provides easy access to the private beach. Our unit is a 2 bedroom, 2 full baths, open floor plan, massive kitchen and full screened in balcony across entire unit that comes with a view of the famous sunsets. Clean. Reserved parking. 2 pools. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops as well as nearby trolley service. The reason a 5 star was not given is a follows : 1. Hardly anything in the kitchen in terms of bowls and other cooking needs. Far different than the other places we have stayed here. 2. They have made numerous changes since our last stay, and most of them are greatly appreciated, but some have made things complicated and difficult such as providing three keys to party of 5. This means that we all have to coordinate when we go to the pool at different times as you have to have a kid not only to access your condo but also to get to and from the gate at the beach. In the past e were provided a code which gave everyone in our party unlimited come and go access. 3. They have drastically reduced the number of essentials that you are provided at the beginning of your stay. This means you, and everyone else checking in that day, will find yourself at the grocery store sooner rather than later. read more

My only constructive criticism is maybe a new mattress in the master bedroom!! Didn't bother me one bit but my hubby is fussy due to a bad back. With that said the condo was absolutely lovely!!! Comfy furniture, fantastic views directly overlooking the Gulf, excellent location, huge flatscreen in the living room, great kitchen. The unit was stocked with everything you need!!! 5th time vacationing in Siesta Key and 3rd year in a row staying at Midnight Cove. I can't see us ever staying anywhere else. Gated complex with covered parking. Last 2 years we stayed in a unit in the ground floor of China Berry. The unit is nicely updated and only a few yards from the pool. The only condos I have seen down there that have someone working the beach seven days a week. He sets up your chairs, umbrellas, and you can rent paddle boards, kayaks, etc... for a very reasonable price. read more

Beautiful place to stay! We had one of the bigger rooms (it was three floors). Came with 4 rooms, 4 bathrooms, 1 bath, and 3 showers. Perfect distance to the beach. They even had some books to enjoy on the beach. Had a few towels and bedding and a lot of pots/pans and plates/cups/silverware, but unfortunately didn't have any small things like salt/pepper, oil etc. So if you do stay be sure to get stocked up If you plan on cooking in their kitchen. read more

My family has come to Midnight Cove for nearly 20 years, almost every summer. It's a place full of family memories and a wonderful location with mostly nice units (although the quality varies greatly from unit to unit). So why a 1 star rating? Sounds great right? The facilities are fantastic, but I just can't let another year go by without commenting on the bottom level customer service at this very high-priced facility. For nearly $3000 a week I expect top-notch service. Not crabby and rude front-office staff, a beach attended named Gayle that basically lied to me about the ridiculous beach chair policy. Yes, that's right, no sitting on the beach chairs prior to 9am?! This policy shifts daily depending on if you get the pleasant beach guy or the angry/unstable Gayle. Anytime we've ever had an issue here it's been extremely painful and unprofessional to get any resolution. The owners of these units know about these issues, and have done nothing. So my suggestion is to take your $3K elsewhere. read more

This was our first stay and it was recommended by others. Initially everything seemed okay however it should mention in the details that this specific unit is 3 flights of stairs that are not lighted at night (husband fell). Having kids including and infant with tons of things was very exhausting trying to load it back and forth using the stairs. Never again staying on a higher floor unless it has an elevator. Another issue was trying to get a guest pass for my mom. I missed the email that had multiple links about the cdc guidelines for Covid 19. The very last link stated that they would not be giving out guest passes at this time. The other 10 emails I had all stated guest passes would be allowed if available and not a hidden link. This should've been told to us from the beginning. The 2 people we spoke to at the front office were extremely rude and called my husband a liar. They were extremely unprofessional. The place itself was okay, not worth the money we spent. The pool was warmer than the ocean so don't expect to cool off there. The umbrella and beach chairs are a constant fight to see whom can reserve them first at 6am. They rules state no reserving chairs allowed however it's not enforced at all. Some days depending on the chair person working the umbrellas were taken from us at 4:30 with no explanation leaving my poor kids without shade. They currently will not allow your own tent so that wasn't an option either. You have to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and everything else that is essential. This was never sent in an email or told by the person I booked with over the phone. The main room was extremely hot compared to the rest of the house and we sweated all through the night. There is a coffee maker but make sure to get your own filters. I feel with the amount of money we paid that it would be a nice gesture to leave the guest some small items like coffee filters..the beds are not comfortable and the towels provided are like sand paper if you need some exfoliating. So with all of that info I think you could guess that we won't be coming back. We decided to stay another week in Siesta but moving to a different and hopefully better location. Oh I almost forgot... there is no one monitoring social distancing as they claim and the one night we used the grill had over 30 people having a party/bbq. We didn't see one person with a face mask, the grills haven't been cleaned in the last 8 years because my husband burnt his eyebrow off from the huge fire that occurred. The food on the bottom of the grill caught fire and burnt our burgers. A person from the party had to run over to help with water. Look elsewhere if you want a relaxing place to stay. read more

What a Joke - we have a signed contract; credit card charge and 9 days before we leave the owner cancelled our reservation - according to KELLY - the owner wants to use the unit. Don't waste your time on UNIT 442. We have rented from this association for over 10 years. They could care less for you - go somewhere else. Staying in 446...unit is nice with a nice view, however, the a/c doesn't cool it well enough. ESPECIALLY the master bedroom. Also, for a place that sleeps 6 you get 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom. Lots of towels and sheets though. read more

I have been coming here for over 20 years now and I love it a little bit more each time. They have several apartments to rent depending on your taste, and budget. They have always been clean, from kitchen to bathroom. The location, cant be beat. The staff is friendly and very responsive. This is a family place with proximity to a cute town, supermarkets and a mall if the weather is bad. Its such an amazing family place and if I had lots of money, I'd buy my own condo at midnight cove!! read more

Second time dealing with a midnight Cove and both times were wonderful experiences. We had a problem with the dryer in our unit and they showed up to fix it within 30 minutes. Both units were beautiful, clean and very convenient to the beach. I highly recommend this place! read more

The condos are great but the staff is arrogant and basically called me a liar. I made reservations over the internet. I called the next day to pay my deposit and got the voice mail of a guy named Jimmie. I left a message and did not get a call back. I left another message this morning and responded to and email. I get a call from a Kelly saying that I did not call or leave a message. Then she says I can not just pay the deposit I have to pay half of the full amount which is for November of 2014. Then Jimmie calls and says he did get the message this morning but not the one a few days ago. Supposedly their is no one else I can talk to. I can send a letter to their board and Kelly will give it to them. Really! So they are saying I lied. I guess customer service and the customer being right they have not heard of the concept. read more

Well to be honest I've never been to this property. But I did have a reservation to do so. I had reserved it on short notice. But my son has epilepsy and was hospitalized for seizures. So therefore I had to cancel my stay. I reached out to midnight Cove in hopes they would understand my situation and I offered to pay any cancellation policy. I would've used my travel insurance but they never gave me any or offered any. Instead they kept my entire $650 deposit. With no flexibility or no heart to refund my money given what we were going through with my sick child. So then I disputed it with the credit card company given the lack of empathy and the fact that I canceled within three business days. And they were not willing to give me a penny back. And I cannot believe this establishment and wouldn't give me anything back given the circumstances. I spoke to Alana on the phone and she had no sense of compassion. And let's be honest life happens. But this is bad karma on the establishment and I plan to put a full lawsuit into affect granted it's only $650. This is not how you treat people. Especially when their children are hospitalized. I am blown away and sick to my stomach with how we have been treated. I would never stay here and give my business to this place. No services were ever used. We have spent the last 19 years at Midnight Cove over the holidays and we have built memories, made friends, enjoyed the beautiful sand and beach, frequented the same restaurants, mingled with the locals, etc. Times are certainly changing, and not for the better. Over the years, the reservation policies have gotten tighter and tighter, and the customer service poorer and poorer. For the first 10 or so years families could reserve condos for whichever dates worked over as long as the stay was for a full week. Maybe 8 or 9 years ago, the policy changed to require a Saturday to Saturday stay, with flexibility on either end, as the holiday dates and time kids are out of school adjusts each year. Ok, cool, makes sense and we can work with that to the best of our ability and maybe have to pay for a day or so, in which we can't be there, but no biggie. Maybe 3 or 4 years ago, they went to a Saturday to Saturday only policy, but continued to work with families like ours who have been coming for almost 20 years to accommodate reasonably, given the holidays shift every year. Apparently those days are now over and customer satisfaction and service is out the window. I called to discuss this upcoming holiday season to see if they could continue to work with us as they have always before and the guy that I spoke with had a tone like my ask was putting him off and he couldn't be bothered to engage his manager, but he did finally agree to take my number and have his manager call. The property manager, Alana, called me back, but she was very rude and would not even consider discussing with the owner our ask for flexibility, which had been done in the past every single time as we've stayed in the same unit maybe the last 5-6 yrs. We've even met the owner, who seemed like a very pleasant woman. When I mentioned the customer satisfaction aspect of the discussion we were having and that we would be forced to cancel our reservations, in a very rude manner, she mentioned they would have no problems filling the units. So net of this is, Midnight Cove has shifted from a wonderful family vacationing spot on a beautiful beach, with incredible customer service, to that of arrogance, autocracy, aloofness, with thoughts that business will always be around and customer satisfaction isn't of concern. I would highly recommend that you find another place for your vacation plans. There are many other beautiful properties on Siesta Key and a growing number in the Caribbean who put customers first and don't take things for granted. read more

My family of three had a reservation for last week arriving on 5/26. Due to the travel advisory by Southwest Airlines on 5/25 due to tropical storm Alberto, we delayed our trip by one day and scheduled a 5/27 departure. The day before departing, Southwest extended the travel advisory to Monday. We called SW Airlines and after speaking to them about the storm, we did cancel our trip. They credited us back the amount we paid. Hertz did not charge us for a late cancellation on the rental car due to the tropical storm and the fact that the Governor of FL declared a state of emergency. We were not charged for our car service to/from the airport, AND we got reimbursed for our kayak tour. The only business not willing to work with us was Midnight Cove. I didn't even ask for my money back. All I wanted to do was reschedule for a different week. They were not willing to work with us at all! This is so unfortunate. Had we worked directly with the owner I'm sure they would have worked with us on an alternate date. But instead we had to book directly with Midnight Cove Management. Poor customer service! I will not plan any future stays with this business. read more
