Really fantastic service at lido beach resort tiki bar. Great views of the water. Amazing service by Marc! Always attentive and helpful with recommendations. Speedy service! Highly recommend!

3.5 (used to be 4.5) My family and I loved this place for a few years! Amazing fish sandwich and tacos, but unfortunately our recent trip seemed that things have changed. Almost as if they made changes to the menu and the ingredients they use. Our recent trip the items were slightly different and not as good as they used to be. Fish tacos were dry and tough. And the fish sandwich felt as if the ingredients were changed. Still decent but not as good as in the past. What we've always lived and still do: cocktails are delicious (stay away from frozen mojito), fries awesome and seasoned perfectly, burger was fresh and tasted great, and the fact that you're right off the beach. Great service and the team there are very nice. Love the strawberry daiquiri.

It's a 2 overall: 5 for the beach, 5 for the Tiki Bar, a 1 for the complexity in picking a tower and a room, and a -3 for price to value. Location is everything, and that's why they can command 474 for a basic room + $40 for the "resort fee". That fee alone is enough to piss me off for "2 waters, wifi, gym & a bag of microwave popcorn. But...the beach IS AWESOME!! PAY ATTENTION to the tower you stay in. The Tiki Tower is old school FLA motel & all you need to do is read the other reviews. We paid more for the Palm Tower (thank God), and parking in the multistory garage was easy, and so were the elevators. Our room (1014) was fine and clean - but check out the "view." Location is everything, and to be able to ride the elevator down and walk onto the beach is awesome. In addition, the chairs on the beach are very comfortable. We walked just down the beach & the Ritz beach club/location is really close (although the resort is a few miles away). So, as best I can tell, this is the only hotel right on the beach. We DID ENJOY the Tiki Bar. Great friendly service, excellent drinks, and delicious grilled calamari. Even if you don't stay at the resort, it's worth a stop as you walk the beach. The adult pool is tiny & one side is basically out of service as there is construction above. Staff above all was friendly, helpful and incredibly kind. Would I stay here again - NO (even though we were just in for one night).

This is a great resort, and the service is excellent! From the bartender at the restaurant, to the towel attendants at the pool, to the asst. general manager, everyone was friendly and helpful! We had a noise issue and the asst general manager personally addressed it. This is a great location and resort!

We were Impressed with how welcoming, helpful and friendly all of the staff at the resort seemed. The hotel lobby is beautiful. It looks right out of the Potterybarn catalog. They offer free drinks upon check in. We were Given a room on the 1 at floor. I kindly asked for a higher room and the obliged. Not much different but we ended up in the tiki tower floor two just buy the tiki bar inside. It was perfectly located to the stairs but without any extra noise. The room was clean comfy and the added kitchenette was welcomed for all the cold water we would need. The beach was beautiful. The umbrella and chairs were comfy and welcomed. The white sand is super fine like powdered sugar. We loved the free shuttle to and from town and used it quite often over our four days. On the last night we tried Drift. What a beautiful restaurant. The whole floor. The waiting area, the bathrooms and the dining room are what all restaurants should have. We were quite impressed. The sunset was beautiful from there. However, keen in mind it is hot sitting near the glass.

We booked a stay at Lido Beach Resort to celebrate our second anniversary. The mixed reviews had me a tad nervous, but man... it was excellent! Sure, it's pricey. But with good reason in our experience. We got to the resort 5 hours before check in and left our bags with the valet. They told us to enjoy all amenities until our room was ready and they hoped they could get that arranged before 4pm. Okay, no big deal, super accommodating and really nice. We walked around a bit and then ate at the tiki bar. The drinks were great, bartenders were quick and nice and the food was good. Above average bar food. Then the front desk reached out to us and let us know the room was ready. The room was absolutely lovely. Clean, spacious and an absolutely insane view. This is what we wanted! It was worth it for me at that point. But then, they showed up with a cheese plate and champagne to help us celebrate our anniversary, which was so classy and sweet. The shuttle to Armands Circle is a great feature as well. Next morning, we hit the beach at 8am. A little line formed to wait for the chairs and umbrellas but it was no big deal and the guys were working quickly. It's abundantly clear the benefit you get from staying at the resort. The public beach next to the resort was packed to the max. Lido Beach Resort's beach was peaceful, quiet and stunning. We took advantage of the tiki bar a few times, the lobby cafe a few times and we ate at Drift as well. All very good. Housekeeping was great too! I mean, we will be back. It was really special and I'm glad the bad reviews didn't scare us off!

This Hotel is AMAZING!!!! The entire staff is so professional and the entire property is gorgeous. Definitely a 10 star rating.

Amazing Hotel, Great staff the entire property is gorgeous and they have a lot of amenities for your stay.

Lido Beach Resort gives the enchanting illusion of staying in a lovely home, with the amenities of a fanciful resort. Located atop the sand of the pristine Lido Key, this beachfront resort is marked by friendly staff, delightful libations, clean rooms, bright spaces, an inviting lobby, and a great Florida ocean-front experience. What is not to love about being greeted by complimentary Piña Colada's at check-in?! We stayed two nights and were so impressed with the kind and accommodating nature of all who worked there. We had a small issue with our thermostat and there was help in moments. My favorite parts of the resort were the cozy lobby, great dinner at Drift, and the corn hole on the beach.

We stayed for a 3 night stay! It was wonderful. The customer service was lovely. A few recommendations would be beach service, painting and repair concrete on building (looks somewhat run down), fix smelly sulfur odor drain issue (read on another review as well), put some tlc into tiki tower outside hallways (looks run down). Also the pastry's were sold out way too early for breakfast (multiple days). I would 100% stay again and enjoyed my time here.

Lido Beach Resort, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways: 1) At check-in you are offered a delicious frozen mango margarita. WOW, we loved this welcoming detail! 2) You are handed an elastic bracelet, which is so ingenious ... I wish EVERY resort hotel would adopt this idea, as it's so convenient to have your room entry on a bracelet instead of a card that can get misplaced. Basically we kept our comfy bracelets on the entire visit (5 days/4 nights) 3) We were so happily surprised with the quality of this hotel, as it's advertised as a 4-Star Hotel, but in fact is feels like a 5-Star property! When I asked WHY they don't advertise it as a "5-Star Resort" they replied that because they don't offer 24/7 room service they are NOT allowed to call themselves a 5-Star Hotel. (Believe me, you WON'T miss the 24/7 room service as it feels like the front desk is at your service 24/7) In fact, they provide a number to text them and every time we sent a text they immediately responded. EXCELLENT SERVICE with a Smile 4) Once we entered our room on the 7th floor (Room 7009) we were happily surprised as everything looked NEW!!! This is a hotel where the photos do not do it justice. You will love the room. Treat yourself to a larger suite overlooking the ocean with a balcony. 5) Speaking of balconies, they have the most comfy rocking chairs on the balcony. We enjoyed sitting on our private balcony at sunset enjoying the view and toasting to the beauty of Lido Beach. 6) When I went into the roomy bathroom I was OVERJOYED to see so much storage space! They have wall to wall shelves below the sink where you can store all of your possessions. 7) NEST is indeed the BEST brand of soap, shampoo and conditioner and I was thrilled to see they offer a LARGE bar of soap in the shower. 8) I'm spoiled when it comes to towels, as normally I stay in 5-star hotels such as The Four Seasons. I love white, fluffy, thick towels and the Lido Resort did not disappoint. 9) I'm a foodie, and we immediately decided to go for lunch at DRIFT (their restaurant on the 8th floor) Please treat yourself. The food and service at DRIFT is EXCELLENT. The atmosphere is amazing. (You'll be tempted to eat all your meals at DRIFT) I highly recommend eating breakfast at DRIFT. It was THE best poached eggs with hollandaise sauce I've EVER tasted in my life. Since I always order eggs Benedict, I know what I'm talking about. The Chef truly cooks a perfect poached egg! 10) The pool is beyond perfect. Never crowded and always crystal clean. The beach is a special treat ... as we live in Palm Beach where the sand is tan, not white. Walking on hot, tan sand hurts your feet. Walking on cool white powdery sand NEVER burns. I love Lido Beach. You will too P.S. Don't miss the following attractions, all easily accessed by the FREE LIDO BEACH RESORT shuttle which runs 7 days a week until late evening. BEST ICE CREAM: Kilwins (fav flavor: chocolate toasted coconut ) BEST DINNER MEAL in Sarasota: COLUMBIA (Spanish Cuban Cuisine) BEST LUNCH: Tommy Bahamas - don't miss the coconut shrimp appetizer. NOTE: if you shop at Tommy Bahamas (we bought a pair of jeans) they will offer you a FREE COUPON - valued $25.00 - use it at Tommy Bahamas to order 6 coconut shrimp. OMG - the BEST coconut shrimp I've ever tasted. Finally, DO NOT MISS the 66 acre Ringling Bros. Circus & Art Museum. You will love it. So many things to see and experience at this 66 acre property. We stayed for 5 hours and also ate a fabulous lunch at the Ringling Cafe. I can honestly say that the Cafe cooks THE BEST FRENCH FRIES on the planet. I'm still craving them, as they use a special seasoning salt, which makes them addictive. Can't wait to return to Sarasota. In fact, we are already planning a return stay in July at the Lido Beach Resort. It's THAT special

The Lido Beach looks REALLY good in pictures. Better than the actual place warrants. Upon closer inspection, you can tell that there is a lot of furniture that is coming apart at the seams or frayed or slightly dinged here and there. I give this resort kudos for keeping in all together throughout the pandemic however. It's been difficult for these resorts, especially the ones in prime tourist locations to stay afloat and in the black. The restaurant DRIFT was the primary reason I went to this hotel. The place itself was OKAY but nothing to write home about. Looks like they are trying to renovate and staff up their restaurant. The employees were nice but many of them didn't speak English. It appeared that this hotel was in the process of training new personnel. I had a somewhat chaotic experience as many of them came up to me but didn't know how to fulfill my simple request. Overall, from studying the patrons/customers of this place it seems to appeal to an overall European crowd and while I was there I heard, Czechoslovakian, Dutch, German, Polish, Romanian .. and of course some South American.

Been coming here for decades as a visitor - not an owner. Bottom line opinion is that Limetree…read moreResort provides a consistently excellent value. Yes, you can find fancier places with more amenities, but Limetree delivers what is important for a safe family friendly gulf beach experience. Read on to learn why...... Staff: office, maintenance and housekeeping staff were exceptional. They were always welcoming and helpful while their workspaces were totally professional - organized, neat and tidy. Facility: Rental condos were exactly as described, stocked as promised and clean. FYI - Visitors in one unit (No 120) reportedly experienced a consistent humming from electrical systems adjacent. Also, the Internet was disrupted by the storm temporarily, but electricity and air conditioning were reliably constant. Washer/dryer units are available for no charge! During our stay, Hurricane Debby passed by, leaving about 17 inches of rain in one day with very gusty winds. Through the weather was dramatic, we never felt in danger. The building felt solid. Whew! We used the community gas grills, the shared PC, bought postcards, and generally enjoyed the same experience we've had over the years. Plenty of parking is available, and the activity center was refreshed where we played ping pong and reviewd books in the lending library. Site: The beach was substantially augmented with crushed shell/sand. It held up to the storm surge like nothing ever happened. Spectacular sunsets were a treat. We saw dolphins, pelicans, gulls, lots of wading birds including a rosette spoonbill! Entertainment: We loved the Tuesday evening one woman band. Beautiful versatile voice and musician - she had the kids, and some adults, up dancing at sunset. A magical treat! Value: For a family friendly, safe, clean on-the-beach experience- it was amazing! In summary - for the experience controlled/managed by the Limetree, the overall rating is a solid 5 (best). It's what we've come to expect after many years of visits. We hope they continue for our future generations. However - there were some non-controllable factors that downgraded our visitor experience. 1) Temporarily, construction noise from a new development. Swiveling tower cranes, clanging metal, banging, truck traffic immediately adjacent to the Limetree on the north side occurs during the day. We experienced noise from about 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This was not a surprise because Limetree staff informed us of the work. Yet we were grateful to be on the south side of the facility - a little further away. 2) Other people: We were surprised to hear late night (after closing) loud pool parties on several evenings. They stopped before midnight but still it was not expected. We were also disappointed to see people pitch camp (umbrellas, chairs, etc.) between our rented cabanas and the beach - which obstructed our water view. Apparently, there is a public beach strip between Limetree property and the waterline available to anyone. Thus, Limetree could not force them to move, yet, we are used to a Limetree community of kindness - not competition. Thus, the atmosphere at times seemed less friendly this trip. Like the uncontrollable weather, I don't allow these external issues affect the Limetree rating. We'll be back.

My aunt & uncle purchased pre- construction 2 units in the building next door, prior to Limetree became a time share & we stayed there every year. They also had a studio unit when Limetree opened but never used. Once Mom bought her unit we would transfer to that unit for our 2nd week. These units were for Mom, my sister, me & any grandchildren invited on that vacation. Basically girls only & kids which excluded my Dad, brothers, and later my sister's husband & mine. My Mom did purchase a week that was Memorial Day & rented this week as kids were still in school. However I got married on May 30th & Mom gave us the week. My husband had never been to Florida & thereafter we went every year & eventually using week 24 once Mom no longer wanted to go to Sarasota circa 2006 or so. My husband took a great interest in the turtles & took it upon himself to enforce no lights on the beach & early morning strolls & volunteering unofficially with conservationists by identifying new tracks & nests. He became known as " The Turtle Man of Lido Beach" by these conservationists & Limetree Resort. He learned a great deal & was advised to get certified as a volunteer but it was a 6 week course that due to the fact we lived & worked in Illinois & came to Florida for 2 weeks in June was not an option, plus really not necessary. This resort has truly been our home away from home with our annual Limetree friends , the beach, St. Armando Circle's favorite restaurants & stores , & a feeling that comes over me hearing & seeing the Gulf upon arrival that envelopes me, mind & spirit at peace, all concerns or troubles forgotten. There is no comparison to hotel stays as just another guest & Limetree's attention to providing amenities & supplies so you feel at home & as sense of belonging. Last year was the first year in more than 50 years I could not do my annual vacation to Sarasota due to a change in ownership to another family member of both weeks. Rest assured that Myrtle Beach does not hold a candle in any way to Lido Beach & will either rent or purchase a unit in June or August 2026 to ensure Limetree is the only destination for my vacation come what may.

In our full kitchen, we stocked the refrigerator from the local Publix and made our breakfast and lunch, which we packed for the beach. Many guests chose to grill out as we saw when we would load up to go to a local restaurant for dinner, but we preferred eating out! On our first night at Hurricane Hanks restaurant down the road, we met up with a resident who offered us more ideas for restaurants for dinner. There's nothing like walking right out onto the beach to spend a morning watching the waves, seeing dolphins frolic, observing osprey catching their breakfast, and swimming in the water among schools of fish. Many of the guests knew each other from yearly vacations, and we have already made our reservation for next year! Anna Maria Island is quiet and family friendly. White Sands Resort offers shuffleboard and corn hole right next to the pool, but the best show is the sunset. On our first night, we were surprised to see how many lined the beach to see God's beauty, of course clapping at the end! Thank you to Ken, Jeff, Joy, and Esther for a wonderful stay. We wish you the best in the coming year, and we look forward to seeing you again!

We've been coming to Ana Maria Island for 30 years always renting a different place every time…read moreanyway we stumbled upon White Sands Beach resort maybe two years ago and it was absolutely spectacular the rooms are just perfect the bedding is comfortable the white sand is blinding and the color of the water is absolutely spectacular. Most of the folks that go here come back year after year and I understand why. Nothing like a family owned business they were card and it shows. I will be back.
