We are so happy we found the Grout Doctor! After moving into our new home, we thought we were going to have to replace our shower completely due to a "leak". After getting several quotes and opinions, the Grout Doctor reassured us that replacing old grout would be more than enough. 2 months later... the leak is gone, the shower feels new, and we saved a lot of money avoiding an unnecessary renovation. Highly recommend! read more

I was getting my shower floor regrouted and sealed once a year From The Grout Medic and I left them several messages and emails. No return calls. This year I called The Grout Doctor. They came out and gave me an estimate to replace grout with epoxy. These guys are awesome. Now I don't have to do this anymore. read more

We reached out to GroutDoctor of Fairfax/Northern Virginia for work on two bathrooms, based on outstanding online reviews. We were not disappointed. The company's estimator arrived within a matter of days, quickly developed an estimate for cleaning, sealing and recaulking our two showers and cleaning and sealong (but not caulking) our two bathroom floors. Within days of our approving the proposal, Vince and Al arrived at our house and completed the job within a half day. Our two bathrooms' appearance is vastly improved thanks to their efforts. Everything went very smoothly! Scheduling the service was seamless and the company did a great job communicating. Every step was well-executed from the first contact (Christine was super thorough and patient) to the estimate (David arrived on time & answered all of our questions and provided a lightning-fast estimate), and to the final product/workmanship (Alan was on time, respectful of our property, and did a fantastic job). Everyone is very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Regarding the final product -- Alan Vera is a wonderful, meticulous, professional, and talented craftsman. He spent time talking with us about our project and thoroughly answered any additional questions. Alan also educated us on the best way to maintain our investment. Thank you for all of your hard work. Both bathrooms look beautiful! Highly recommend! read more

I found Grout Doctor through an internet search for someone to clean and "restore" (re-grout, re-caulk, etc) our shower. When I submitted an inquiry to get a free estimate, they called me almost immediately and had it set up within a few days. They were kind and helpful with scheduling and mentioned that their franchise is family owned (I spoke to Christine and her son David did the estimate). The estimate process was super easy, quick, and clear. David came and took a look, discussed what we wanted to have done, and then sent the estimate that same afternoon. As soon as we approved they contacted us for scheduling, which was within a week of the estimate. Alan came to do the work today and it is difficult for me to express how good of a job he did. He worked so hard nearly all day and was absolutely meticulous in his process. It looks like we had a brand new shower put in. We could not be happier. If your bath/shower needs work, I highly recommend Grout Doctor. They were FANTASTIC. read more

Pros: - quick to return inquiry calls - communication was good despite the phone tag challenge - quick at sending over somebody to do a job estimate. David was nice and helpful at explaining things. Also, he was on time! Cons: and the reason why I cancelled the job despite a good first impression: * I had a written job order with price and description on it. $225 for recalling a small bathroom shower and installing the door sweep (which I bought myself). I thought it's a little steep but I wouldn't really know how much it costs cuz they're the only ones I inquired from. So, I went ahead and scheduled/confirmed the date. Then later, I received an email from Christine that says "I'm changing the price to our daily minimum of $250" but the job description remains the same. I wonder why this was not discussed when I called to schedule and I'm being surprised by a random price increase for the same job I got priced for. I ended up cancelling as I think it was ridiculous and unprofessional that the prices just shifted randomly. read more

Very unprofessional. Took weeks of multiple calls to get an appt scheduled then they gave me a one hour timeframe and never showed up. Said they rang a doorbell (I don't have one) and called but I never received a call. read more

The Grout Doctor is terrific--professional, polite and responsive. I was able to schedule an appointment for tile repair and regrouting/grout staining of the flooring in my foyer and kitchen with little to no delay. In addition, the skillset and knowledge of the team that worked on my floors was superior and the result was beyond expectations. At the conclusion of service, my floors looked absolutely brand new (they are actually 11 years old and looked it). I highly recommend The Grout Doctor for anyone who wants flooring that appears completely new and unused. read more

I reached out to grout doctor and they were initially very responsive. They sent a representative out (David) to look at the job on June 1. David was kind and seemed knowledgeable. He talked through 2 different types of quotes he planned to send over in detail. A whole month went by. On July 1 I had not heard back from them. I followed up about my quote and got a response from Christine saying: "The work that you are requesting I would recommend a handyman. They will be able price better. Sorry we will not be able to complete your project". My biggest complaint is that no one ever reached out to me to let me know that they were no longer interested in taking my job. I waited a month to hear back and really wanted to go with this company based on reviews from friends. If they would have simply communicated with me, I could have hired someone else in a months time. I was being patient for a company who had already decided that they didn't want to take the work. A waste of a month! read more

I couldn't be more pleased with The Grout Doctor-Fairfax service. My home is 23 years old and we needed to have our master bathroom shower stall re-grouted. Richard, the owner, was able to come out and give us a quote within 48 hours of my call and the work was done by Alan within a week. Everyone at the company is professional and excel in customer service. My shower looks literally BRAND new! They are worth every single penny we paid them. Pretty good work, used their service to stop a potential leak due to caulking being old. Caulked a few bathrooms and they did a good job.

David came out on a Wed and gave me an honest estimate at a great price. Although he explained this work couldn't be scheduled till after XMAS I explained (And then showed him the hole in my kitchen ceiling from the leak that was being caused by the upstairs shower. Got a call a short time later asking if I was available to have work done on the upcoming Saturday. Vince came out at 10 AM Saturday and left at 8 PM He did a fantastic job that satisfied me but made the wife extremely happy. I'd highly recommend them. read more

I write Yelp reviews only in situations wherein companies either knock it out of the park or totally fall on their face. Our master bathroom shower was in need of some solid re-caulking and a bit of regrouting based on five years of time and not a little bit of mold, so we solicited offers from a few regrouting places. The Grout Doctor was definitely not the cheapest, but Richard had some compelling customer experience cases, so we decided to trust them and pay a little extra. With that said, Vince came out and worked (::sweated) himself to death. As usual with our home improvement projects, things went sideways, and Vince not only handled the issues with panache, but was clearly communicative about different approaches to solving the problems while being considerate of our time and money. I really can't say enough about how much we appreciate Vince's hard work, and our shower looks like new. The Grout Doctor is absolutely worth paying a little extra for, and I hope they're paying Vince a little extra as well! read more

We had such an amazing experience with the team at the Grout Doctor. From booking the estimate, to the estimate to the execution of the job, everyone we dealt with was professional, courteous and amazing! If you need any tile, grout or resealing work done, look no further. They came is well under what we were expecting and their staff is prompt and gets right to work. read more

We had a poor installation done on our master bathroom floor tiles. The tiles were not set properly and would move when we walked on them, which caused the grout to crack and come out. I called grout doctor hoping they could do something. Richard whom I believe is the owner came out to assess the situation. I thought we might have to remove the floor and do everything over again which would've been a huge job. However, he told me they could inject some type of glue through the grout lines and underneath the tiles, which would set the tiles in place. Then they would regrout the floors. Very honest which I appreciate greatly. It's so hard to find honest contractors. I decided to move forward. Alex and Eric came by to do the job. They were both fantastic. They wore masks and shoe covers, worked fast and cleaned up very well. The floor looks brand new and at a fraction of the cost of redoing it. I couldn't be happier. I would hire grout doctor again in a heartbeat. read more

Phenomenal service and work. Extremely responsive and accommodating to our schedule. Great pricing. Very professional, thorough, knowledgable and just plain super nice! They even did an emergency caulking repair of another contractor's poor work right before my house went on the market! Extremely reasonable pricing. I highly, highly recommend. read more

We had an issue in our bathrooms with our light grey grout on the floor discoloring due to traffic/water and the builders using an off white grout with white tile. These guys were able to come in and leave us with clean, white grout in the shower and even grey grout on our floors. Eric did great work - very meticulous. Our bathrooms look new. We are happy with their work and would highly recommend. read more

The Grout Doctor has done two jobs for me. Bathroom tile, glass door, tub recaulk and kitchen floor, grout repair and two other bathroom floors and grout repair. All excellent work at a very fair price. Looks new when completed. Richard, the estimator, was on time and thorough in his estimate and advice. And Vince did both of my jobs. Excellent work, personable and pays attention to detail. I highly recommend the Grout Doctor. You won't be disappointed. read more

I am thrilled with the results of the work performed by The Grout Doctor team. Christine and I played phone tag trying to get an estimate scheduled and she actually reached out to me on a Sunday to finally connect! Richard was very professional and offered an immediate quote while in my home and the work was scheduled for later in the week. Eric did a wonderful job making our showers and powder room floor look like new (when really they are over 15 years old). I recommend without hesitation. read more

I called around to get a few estimates, but I guess it was my luck day to get this Grout Doctor. I received an appointment right away (didn't have to wait two weeks) for an estimate. Richard showed up at my door and was able to give me a price that worked within my budget for my rental unit and sent his team to do the work within two days. They worked magic in both the bathrooms. I was totally amazed at the difference they were able to accomplish. Richard promised that his team would complete the work to my satisfaction. The two technicians worked hard for several hours and my bathrooms look new. Thank you so much!! read more

We had The Grout Doctor (Fairfax) come out to give a estimate for re-grouting our tile-filled home in Great Falls. Richard was very professional, and offered solid, expert advice. As a young woman bringing him into my home alone before my husband got home, I always appreciate when someone makes me feel at ease and not the least bit pressured. They were flexible about working with my schedule for the estimate, the quote was provided quickly (at a reasonable price), and they were readily available for follow up questions. We were about to hire them when unexpected health problems (and the costs that accompany them) arose - they were gracious when we had to delay service indefinitely. We will definitely be using them when our finances change, and would encourage others to consider them as well. read more

We had a great experience with the Grout Doctor. They redid the grout and caulk in our master shower after the old crumbled grout caused a leak into the first floor. The owner Richard came out to do the estimate. He was very professional as he explained the problem and broke down the cost, and I felt he was a relatable and trustworthy person to do business with. They were able to schedule the repair in a timely way and Vince came to do our repair just a couple days later. He was also very nice, cleaned up thoroughly after the job, and walked me through what he had done. It's been about 2 months and it still looks like new. Best of all, no more leaks! Would definitely use them again for another project. read more

I am writing about The Grout Doctor (W& W Management Co., Inc.) out of Haymarket. We had some mold in the door and grout of our master bath. We also had pieces missing in the grout in the kids bathroom. Alan and Henry came and did a fantastic job. They used machines to make both the shower and tub look like new. They worked the entire day on our project. The mold is completely gone, they gave us instruction on how to keep it clean, and we are very happy with their service. read more

We had two shower/tub areas regrouted and recaulked as part of a renovation effort for two bathrooms - both turned out great. The technician also colorized the floor tile grout in one bathroom and this was done very well. Overall, while not inexpensive, I was quite impressed with the results for the cost (looks brand new and much cheaper than full tub/tile replacement). read more

Very happy with the work these guys did. We had 4 bathrooms that all needed work. Richard came out and took a look at everything that needed to be done and offered to have one of his guys come out the very next day and get it all done. On top of that, because he said we were helping him out to fill a slot the next day where someone had cancelled, he gave us a big discount. He didn't have to, we wouldn't have known that that was the case, so he could have just charged us full price - but he was honest and gave us a really great deal. I had called two other places prior to calling Grout Doctor and they were both going to charge way more. So, the next day, because I had to be at work, Richard came all the way back out to the house to explain everything that needed to be done to his associate who was going to do the work, Vince. I returned home just as Vince was finishing up. This guy was a real pro. The work was first rate, his knowledge of the types of caulks and grouts to use in each room was impressive, and he just seemed to be a good guy that was not only good at what he did, but seemed to enjoy doing it. I would definitely recommend giving these guys a call if you need any grouting or caulking done. read more
