What started out as a fairly decent experience (they have a decent showroom with nice examples) went progressively downhill. Our initial visit to their showroom in Chantilly was met promptly by one of their designers, however, first impression was that he was very new to the business, but seemed to know some of the products they were representing. Before leaving, we scheduled an in-home visit for him to come look at the proposed bathroom and kitchen renovations about a week later. I had not heard back from him promptly to confirm the appointment, and therefore I reached out to his manager (who also did not have the courtesy to directly respond to me). But apparently my message made its way to the designer, who I'm pretty certain completely forgot about the appointment he scheduled. Following the home visit, we were told that 3D renderings would be prepared, and that a follow-up appointment would be scheduled for us to come into their showroom again to discuss. Perhaps one of the few positives was that the the designer sent me a message a few days later to day his renderings were done, and invited my wife and I to come back into the showroom, but we couldn't visit until a week later due to my schedule. As soon as we arrived on our scheduled follow-up visit, one of the other Chantilly store representatives seemed surprised that we were there to meet with the designer, saying that he was working at their Fairfax store that day. UNBELIEVABLE! Nevertheless, he got in touch with the designer, who finally made his way out to the Chantilly store over 30 minutes late!! But perhaps the worst part of the meeting was despite having plenty of time to prepare decent 3D renderings, he only really had one prepared (he promised at least a couple of different ones), and the renderings were terrible quality and something a child would develop. Despite all of this, we were still willing to talk to him and discuss options. The latest update was that he would prepare additional renderings, and said he would talk to his manager about final estimated costs. At this point (over a week later), we still haven't heard back from him, so obviously they don't consider us a serious customer. What a disappointing waste of nearly 3 weeks time, and even more disappointing after seeing other positive reviews; I just we just weren't lucky. That said, I have had a positive experience with another renovation company, and will go with their service instead; others had much better estimated pricing anyway. I'm glad I talked to other companies out of due diligence.

This company has been a continual disappointment…read more We started the kitchen remodel process with a budget of $50,000 in January 2021. The design team was fantastic, and got us what we wanted within budget. That's where the good part ended. We waited 12 weeks for cabinets to arrive, and had been told prior to contract signing that the project with full demo, gut, new cabinets, countertops, and backsplash would finish in 5 weeks. We were told that the company was careful and would not demo the kitchen until all supplies were available. After 1 week of demo, we were told that the wrong sink base was sent, and we were on hold until the cabinet manufacturer sent a new sink base. That led to a 6 week hold on our project, with no kitchen for our family. Install was a nightmare. The team cut the crown molding upside down, built a new soffet that was visually out of true, had to re-tile the backsplash for it being initially installed crooked, cut the sink front with cut lines past 90 degrees, and could not install the Le Mans cabinet pullout correctly without me showing them the installation .pdf on the manufacturer website. The installer told us it would rub, and that was the "best he could do". They drug the upper cabinets across a dirty floor covered in drywall plaster and scratched the cabinet bottoms, which we had paid extra to be painted. Nicely Done had to call out a furniture restoration company and replace several cabinets which were beyond repair. Overall the five week project took 11+ weeks to complete. I'm writing this review because we called them back to fix the grout line between the countertop and backsplash, which cracked after 4 months. The same install team showed up and did a poor job of cleaning the old grout, and began using clear silicone instead of the color matched silicone. I'd rather go to Home Depot myself and do the job correctly than deal with them again. I'm done with the laziness of the project managers and install team. I asked point blank at the final walkthrough if we didn't pay enough money to get a better quality product. For $50K, this company leaves a lot to be desired. There's continually a polite excuse, but at the end of the day, they are happy to take your money and do a poor job. Look elsewhere for your remodel needs.

REVIEW FOR YELP DREAM DESIGN…read more The Dream Design Construction Team was Awesome! We wanted to remove the wall between the dinning room and kitchen to open up the space. We researched many, and obtained quotes from three contractors, one less expensive and one more expensive. Luckily, we decided on Dream Design Construction. Design We had a specific (non-conventional) design in mind, i.e. not the typical big island layout. Additionally, we wanted to add a full bath, a custom pantry, barn doors, and new kitchen windows, flooring etc. We stopped by Dream Design Construction and Yong engineered the design we envisioned that day! Allowing us to see it in 3D. He included things we had not thought of like a pot filler, and coffee bar area. The customized outcome is beautiful. Yong came out and took measurements to finalized the design plan. The Design becomes the Blue Print - - Note: Make sure when you sign the contract that you Know which cabinets will have drawers/ no drawers, pull outs, glass doors etc. or a change order may be required. Contract Their contract was very straight forward which helped us to sign quickly. It stated the price and allowances, installation, demo etc. Yong stated his goal is to ensure 100% customer satisfaction, and he honorably did so. Demo After emptying and packing up the kitchen - Demo was quick! The Team put up plastic zipper walls to cordon off the family room, foyer etc. to limit the amount of dust in other rooms, as well as covering vents. The wall between the dining room and kitchen came down! Mr. Nam was great . The team was here by 8 each day and made sure everything was put away each day and left it as tidy as possible. Construction The build out began and the first inspection was passed. I believe Mr. Nam was key to the success - following Yong Yi's drawing/plans Jose did a great job painting, especially the stove hood/vent - just beautiful. Tile Work is extremely beautiful both kitchen and bathroom. Mr. Nam worked hard in so many areas, requesting input for location of cabinet hardware and providing guidance for light switch locations etc. Mr. Lee framed the windows beautifully, and thankfully Bruce encouraged me to include multiple pendant chandeliers which look absolutely beautiful. Mr. Yong was Very easy to work with and assigned Mr. Kim to perform all the "Finishes" ensuring a perfect result. Final Walk thru/Result Inspection #2 The final walk-through and Inspection were flawless with 100% satisfaction! Just when you are tired of construction...you're done! The remodel was completed AHEAD of schedule, including our last-minute alternatives. BOTTOM LINE: EVERYTHING turned out impeccably beautiful! Dream Design was very accommodating with change items that did not affect the Design footprint-like adding an outlet and moldings for wine fridge, as well as barn doors. After a couple of months I couldn't let her off the hook, I wanted to get this project underway. I had to have an estimate. Her response to me was well "what is your budget." I said "I want what I want. " Again a runaround. She told me how qualified Dan was and any plumbers/craftsman they used and that we need to compare apples to apples. Of course, I understand that. She finally gave me a quote that I thought was quite high. So, in the meantime, I had contacted the manufacturer of the tile to make sure we had a contractor that was qualified to install large format tile. Then, Erika texted me and gave us a 10% discount. "Would that work?" She asked. Mind you, she refused to give us a breakout of any of the costs. I asked about the cost of the shower glass because I knew it was a pass-through. She wouldn't give me that. She also would not give me any itemization. She kept saying whether it comes in lower or higher we absorb the cost/or gain. She said they are different and just give one price. They aren't like other contractors. That's fine, I've never come across that, but they run the risk of losing a client. I got a quote from an equally qualified contractor. Except for Century, he was the highest bidder, but was considerably less expensive. The job is finished and we have a beautiful bathroom - -zero entry (aka walk-in) shower and large format tiles. It's a shame that Erika's evasiveness was very offputting. She seems to handle the business side and Dan does the technical side. As noted above, we were eager to work with them. However, the difficulties with the pricing made it impossible to move forward with them.

When the project start we were really happy about the way it was progress. That all came to a halt when we saw how the crew did the electrical work. When all was said and down the electrical stills needs to be redone to make our wall look more pleasing. It took way to long for the individual to rewire the electrical switches. The plumping was also a nightmare. The sink flood 3 times before a master plumber came in and fixed it. He was able to look under the sink and tell what needed to be done. The sink backing up caused water damage to my basement ceiling. The workers also put paper and blue tape on my wooden floors and when they remover the tape it varnish came off with some of the tape. They tried to fix it but my floor looks terrible. Also the crew did not know how to put the transition on the floor between the living room and kitchen. The way they installed it left it a tripping hazard. The project started on 7 Sept and it was finally completed 7 Dec. With all the problems we had with the crew every time I spoke with the project manager I would hear that is with in code and how we do things. I got very tired of hearing that and asked the project manager for the phone number to his supervisor and was told that he doesn't have a supervisor he was the supervisor. Needless to say I would never have this company back in my house for any things else.

Jordan figured out a perfect configuration to maximize both the space and storage. He recommended Signature cabinets. We purchased the appliances and fixtures. Everything was installed by an excellent independent contractor, recommended by Jordan, who did all the work expect for that needing special licenses. He subcontracted that work. We've done several renovations in the last year (old house) and working with Jordan has far surpassed all our other experiences, both in terms of his knowledge and communication. He listened to our needs and ideas, he was candid about what would work and not work, and he immediately responded to any questions/concerns. We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend working with him.
