Wonderful spot to stop at in Loris! Diverse menu with something for everyone. Service was very quick and everyone checked in on us frequently/was so sweet! The food was excellent and came out quickly as well. The restaurant itself is super quirky and cute and they also have a drive through if you don't have time to sit down.

Cute lil place! Enjoyed the food and atmosphere, prices aren't bad either. However I am disappointed in a cute Lil place like this- that seems to value farm fresh type food to serve everything (even when dining in) in disposable/plastic and Styrofoam! Do better. Loved the tomato soup.

This tiny place was highly recommended by some locals. Quite unassuming from the outside, but there is something special going on inside, the food is absolutely outstanding, so fresh, and well prepared. The coffee was amazing, highly recommended if you're passing through.

Stopped in today because: 1. It looked so cute 2. We had heard it was the best sandwiches in town. 3. We were hungry for good food... This small yet adorable space was inviting with its small time country feel - I felt right at home. The friendly server offered us a sample of the chicken salad and wow...it was on the money! The best tasting chicken salad I've had in a lonnng time! Tried it on CroIssant and it was delish! Hubs tried the Italian and he loved it...kids were happy too... We will become regulars for sure!

Stopped off here for a quick refresher on our way to Myrtle Beach. THIS IS A MUST!!!! I had the blueberry smoothie with almond milk instead of regular milk. It was super smooth and full of blueberry flavor! My daughter had sugar free hazelnut iced coffee with light ice. She said it was super full of flavor and very refreshing. She also had them use almond milk too. So, Melinda helped us. She listened to what we were thirsty for and made the perfect suggestions! Since we were just passing through, we were not familiar with their huge menu! John, the owner, was making everything in the background. He had a genuine smile as he helped hand us our drinks. They were both so genuine and kind! We will be stopping to here again on our way home! This will be a stop that we make a tradition when going to/from Myrtle Beach!!!!! This place is great in middle of nowhere, NC on the way back from Myrtle Beach, NC we stopped here. I thought it would be not so good. The people are super nice. I am glad we stopped here instead of a fast food option. My faith in individual owned restaurant was restored. They were flexible to modify the sandwiches too. We were a large group, we got quick seat and quick serve. Fresh squeezed juice is nice option. There is a very nice poster too - they have a sense of humor and they don't take themselves too seriously. The glass structure makes the restaurant, feel open but at the same time cool inside. Driving through on our way to the beach. Found this on yelp (of course, love you yelpers!) the guy working greeted us with a big good morning immediately as we walked through the door. He chatted us up right away asking us how our day was, what our plans for the day were etc. very refreshing! We both just wanted some simple coffee. I totally wish I was hungry because everything sounded good. So brings me back to what I did have, drip coffee....good. Ambiance is absolutely adorable! Several tables to sit at. Lots of sunshine & the tables are decorated with springtime tablecloths. Don't go anywhere else! And if your just driving through it's worth your stop to support this awesome little business. read more

I feel like I won the lottery. This place is amazing . I had a chicken salad sandwich. The best I've ever had. Be sure to try the coconut macaroons. The staff and owner are so nice. I wish I lived closer. I would be there every week!!! read more

Great place! I got the farmer's daughter salad and a create your own panini! It was delicious! The customer service was excellent. The food is really fresh! We found this place to be blah in the taste of the food, it's over priced and service is slow. The cooks are the waitresses, I understand they want to cut costs but, what a joke. How can the servers focus on their customers, ring them up and prepare the food/coffee all at the same time? And, can you believe that their Ice coffee was regular coffee that everyone gets served with ice cubes! What a JOKE that was. I'm no barista but ice coffee is supposed to be a stronger coffee bc the ice cubes weakens it. Live and learn, this place is a definite NO! read more

We stopped here on a long drive with the kids and enjoyed every minute of our lunch. The food is fresh with local ingredients. The service is friendly and caring. We all ordered sandwiches and a piece of blueberry pie. The pie was so good we bought a whole one to bring home. When leaving the entire family said we should stop here every time we make this drive. read more

Wonderful! I live right up the street and ride my bike to the Grind! They're so pleasant and polite! The smoothies are the best. Always ask what you should order and GO WITH WHAT THEY SUGGEST! You won't be disappointed! Somewhat pricey for what it is, but overall wonderful. (: Update: just ate here today and I have no idea what's happened.. The help was rude and the food was nowhere near the quality it used to be. I'm giving them one more chance before I write it off since its been so great in the past. Disappointed. read more

Went here for lunch today. We didn't know till last week it was a lunch spot! Been by it many times, thought it was just a coffee stop! Very nice friendly owners, cannot do enough for you! Very clean, very good food, and you cannot beat the prices for the quality food you get. Quaint is the word I am looking for, perfect small town eatery! Hands down, the best place in Loris to go to for lunch! Enjoy the quiet now, because once word gets out about this place, you will never find a seat at lunch time!!! read more

Wow what a food-stop oasis in the hinterlands between Lumberton and Myrtle Beach. This place is fantastic. I walked in and noticed every thing from the coffee to the food to the freshly baked deserts to the decor was a cut above. It was formerly a 1920s gas station and evidently everything else between now and then. We tried a variety of selections and all were good. I had the freshly-baked still-warm Key Lime pie upon finishing the Farmer's salad. My son especially liked the chicken salad sandwich. Everything was fresh and clean. It's a bit like a farm-to-table place but reasonably priced as well. On the way back from MB I stopped again and ordered an iced coffee to go. Great flavor (Eku sp? coffee roasted around Charleston) and they put in several coffee ice cubes so as they all melt the coffee doesn't get watered-down. Just excellent. Service good too. Recommended. read more

We found this gem of a place on Yelp while driving to the beach and stopped for lunch. The owner was incredibly hospitable as he checked in on us at our table to ask how our meals were and to introduce himself and make us feel welcomed. The food is amazing and fresh from farm to table. The owners are super sweet and attentive and strive to make sure you get exactly what you want. If you want good, clean food, this is the place to come. The portion sizes are generous and you won't leave hungry. The desserts and smoothies are delicious as well. We stopped here on our way from Myrtle Beach to Williamsburg. 4 adults and 3 kids. The place is nicely decorated and welcoming, the owner extremely friendly and lovely and the food fresh and delicious! Between the 7 of us, we tried a few of their paninis, the soup of the day (a delicious cauliflower and potato soup), smoothies, homemade fruit popsicles, cappuccinos and - best of them all - the house made key lime pie. This place would be a hit in any city I can think of, including San Francisco, where I live. I don't know when I'll be in the area again but whenever that happens, I'll make sure to stop at the Grind again. This time it was by chance, next time it will be by design. read more

This place was fantastic. The owner was a server, which shows his dedication to his business. Very pleasant local people. Food was good, fresh local produce. The tomatoes were out of this world. The coffee was absolutely perfect. I had the local brew and took a pecan to go. Both were delicious. Highly recommend going 5 min off the gps path to the beach to give this guy your business. Exactly what this little town needs! The quality and freshness would fit in in the biggest city, but you can't beat the small town amiability. Our produce is grown locally by Bellamy Farms, and Hulls Island Farm. Our coffee is Roasted in Charleston SC by Island Coffee. Our local goat cheese is supplied by Woorley Lane Farms. We proudly serve Boars Head Meats. And we take extra time to ensure our guests enjoy the best South Carolina has to offer. ENJOY!

We started the GRiND with one goal in mind, serve our customers what we would want to eat. We start with the best products we can find, we source them locally whenever possible, and we make everything fresh and homemade. I always enjoyed Hardee's especially the breakfast. We have Carl's Jr in Las Vegas , NV where I live now since 1991 , but they don't have all the same menu items as Hardee's. I always see bad reviews for Hardee's , but I've only had one bad one years ago somewhere near Greenville if I remember right. We actually threw our food away. Not this place though. I got the Chicken Fried Steak Biscuit and a Country Ham and Egg Biscuit and they were perfect ! The biscuits were fluffy and golden which is the way they should be and Hardee's are made from scratch unlike other fast food places. The country ham was a large piece and the egg was big and of course they were delicious. The chicken fried steak was fresh and not greasy and hot. The service was quick. The lady that took my order was nice , I believe she was a manager or supervisor since she was letting the others know it was time to do cleanup and such. The dining area was clean and it looks to be updated somewhat compared to many I've been to in the past. Our Hardee's in Bennettsville closed years ago and the last time I was home about 3 years ago I went to the one in Cheraw. This one seemed cleaner and nicer than that one. I miss the old chicken sandwich that Hardee's used to make which had more of a peppery coating and tasted better than the new hand breaded one they serve now. Also when I went to the one in Cheraw I tried the Roast Beef Sandwich and it was not good like it used to be and smaller. It used to be better than Arby's back in the 80's. I wish I would've tried the fried chicken when they had it years ago.

I don't get out towards Loris much but if I do I will definitely be stopping by The Grind! I had the veggie wrap with the pasta salad and it was delicious! I was in town for professional development at a local school and was wondering where I was going to have lunch and somebody mentioned this place. A lot of other people also decided they were going to eat there and we showed up as a big group. The staff handled the orders with great customer service and I was very pleased. This place is amazing... fresh squeezed juice, the best Coffee in Loris, home-made local food, fresh produce, all for extremely reasonable prices!!! The only problem is that I cant go in every day, trust me, if I could I would!!! Don't miss this place, ever!
