You know something I love? Whimsical conspiracy theories. I'm talking something like "Birds aren't…read morereal." They are fun to think and joke about - even though all I have to do is ask "then what is chicken?!" Which I did, once, until someone responded: "I don't know, but isn't it strange how everything tastes like it?" hmm... But I digress Okay, so why should we care about existence, or lack thereof, of our avian friends? Well, I have a conspiracy theory: the reason this truck is invited to breweries is because the oceanic levels of salt will make sure your beer is always full! However, this falls apart quickly when you realize Barrel House Z and Vitamin Sea are family friendly establishments, and have big jugs of self-serve water. Don't worry - I am not throwing shade. While I do believe my critique of their salt levels is valid, this wasn't enough to cost them a star. This truck has everything else going for it, and it became an instant favorite among food trucks for me! First things first: the service here is incredibly friendly and kind! As for the food: I had the opportunity to try the Chicken Bacon Ranch Fries, the Meatball Sliders, and the Tacos. Across the board: the portion sizes are huge, and the value is excellent! Everything comes out hot and fresh, too! The meatball slider had a gentle consistency, and delightful sweet and spicy notes. The CBR fries were, true to their name, loaded with ingredients! As for the tacos, while not the most authentic in the world, they were overflowing with meat, had plenty of sauce and veg, and interestingly cheese in between the two tortillas (which helped everything stay together!) Finally, I am also a fan that their menu seems to rotate! Never a dull moment! Thus, I would say that the Meat & Cheese project gets an "A."

Edwardo hand presses the taco dough into a soft yet crispy taco shell which can withstand the crazy amount of taco filling they pile on. Nikki is bubbly, personable and super friendly. They seem to make an excellent team! So far I have had their tequila lime chicken, bomb, the jerk chicken, also bomb and my personal favorite the chorizo potato taco. Fresh cabbage, soft smooth queso fresco cheese I'm guessing is on top, with picked red onions and an amazing sauce drizzled on top makes these deliciously authentic tacos more modern. All in all, delicious authentic tacos with a new age touch. Absolutely delectable, I HIGHLY recommend Los Jefes next level eats!! Although I have only had their tacos, I'm sure anything and everything they make is worth traveling for.

I tried everything on the menu nonetheless, because, well, I have a voracious appetite, and they did seem appetizing. On the menu (and my thoughts) - Chorizo and Potato = this one has great potential, the cheese, lettuce, and sauce were all great compliments to the star. Problem is, it kind of forgot to shine. It felt more like potato (with specks of chorizo). I could definitely find it, there was just very little. - Braised Beef = the good here is that they certainly did not skimp on the meat! The taco was absolutely loaded with it. Touch of cabbage was very nice, and the salsa verde added a mild, pleasant heat. My grumble with this is the meat itself, though plentiful, I would have liked it to be a little more flavorful; a little more seasoning would have done wonders. Finally, from an execution standpoint, it would be nice if when they pile on the beef they try to drain it from some water, as the taco got very wet. Also; strangely enough, a little less meat would better allow the cabbage and salsa to come through. - Chicken Lime = this was my favorite taco of the night. It hit all the right notes, and did not make my gripe sheet! Chicken was plentiful and the marinade they use if mild yet flavorful. Other toppings were great too! There was guacamole, pico, and some cabbage. All adding some crunch, freshness, a little acidity, and well, guacamole is always good! Now; some general observations: No matter the filling, or proportions therein, tacos were absolutely loaded! These should be eaten with utensils. You can technically eat them by hand... only expect a mess and half the inners to fall out. With tacos, I personally prefer to be able to eat them by hand, but, this is a minor grievance (if I can call it that). Then there's the question of prices. A little bit of sticker shock when I found out $7 gets you only one taco. Definitely towards the more expensive side. The service was nice and wicked fast!

I was a little unsure of what to expect at first but decided to be adventurous. The food was beyond words, only on Yelp you get words and pictures (and I didn't take any... oops). Let me start by saying everything here, meats, sauces, and relishes, are made from scratch. The only thing that comes pre-made is the rolls. Everything else is made with love, something commercially made products never had. I started with the brisket... Grilled to perfection, and seasoned oh-so-wonderfully! A melt in your mouth experience, and one that pairs amazingly with the BBQ mustard. I will be paying for that deliciousness in the gym at a later date... Even if every muscle and tendon is aching after, worth it, and I'd happily do it again. By the way, I love the sauce thing they have going here, the meats are great by themselves, but the sauces add a whole new dimension of flavor! By virtue of the deliciousness, and because of how interesting it is, I couldn't resist trying the onion bomb. Bacon-wrapped hamburger with onion. Again, I was a little skeptical but went for it anyway. This work of art is like a good, old whiskey... smooth as silk, with the meat having a great amount of moisture. Like the brisket, seasoned to perfection. Flavors played really nicely together, and the meat was nice and moist. Looking forward to trying more great stuff next time!

Cousins Maine Lobster is a brand and fleet of lobster food trucks that began in Los Angeles,…read moreCalifornia in April 2012. It was founded by cousins Jim Tselikis and Sabin Lomac. Originally from Portland, Maine, the cousins later settled in Southern California. Impressed with the Los Angeles food truck industry, they decided to start selling Maine lobster in the L.A. area. Lobster was typically viewed as a pricey delicacy, only served in precious portions at fancy restaurants. The cousins saved up enough money to buy a food truck. East Coast transplants raved about the authenticity, freshness and the copious amount of meat in the lobster rolls. Their success really took off after they were featured on an episode of the TV series "Shark Tank". The brand expanded, more food trucks were bought, and the first brick & mortar location opened in West Hollywood in 2015. As of 2026, the chain has 65 food trucks and two restaurants throughout 30 states as well as Washington, D.C. I recently sampled some of Cousins Maine's delicious lobster when I saw one of their trucks at a local brewery. The "Greater Boston" truck travels all across Eastern Massachusetts to stop at breweries, wineries, and various markets and festivals. I had previously sampled food from the "Greater Connecticut" truck. The menu consists of items made from Maine lobsters, such as Maine Lobster Rolls, Connecticut Lobster Rolls, lobster quesadillas, lobster tacos, lobster grilled cheese, lobster bisque, as well as New England Clam Chowder. After looking over the menu, I decided to order some "Lobster Tacos" (Maine lobster served with cabbage, pico de gallo, cilantro lime sauce, flour tortillas). They were simply divine and paired well with the beers that I was having at the brewery. I give Cousins Maine Lobster my seal of approval and I hope to see one of their trucks again!
